Hello,
i got a really strange beahavior with my music playback.
If i restart my phone and open fast a music app and play something, i can lock my phone without the music stops.
If i start the music app later the music will immediately stop after the screen is locked.
The App don't stop, only the music ( like press the pause button)
( i have checked the permissionens , like autostart , background etc and the energy settings, clear cache/dalvik cache)
( and i think i have nothing changed or installed since)
This behavior concerns every music app on my phone.
The more confusing thing is: if i start my music in locked state with my bluetooth headset( press play button) and then unlock the phone, the music will pause again.
Does anybody know a solution ?
Turn off lock/unlock sound in sound settings of the phone.

I have the xiaomi.eu rom and it's in sound and vibration options. Scroll down to system sounds and you can turn it off there.

My Phone seems to have itself stuck with the Ringtone on silent. Every setting says its up. Audio Manager has all the volumes up. Message tones work and so do system / media and alerts. But the ringtone will not make a noise..
When I press the volume up button on the home screen.. it comes up with Silent Ringtone Selected..... Is there any way to get rid of this?
Thanks in advance
Solved....
Just Wipe data + cache
reload ROM and restore all apps back from default and bingo...
I know this may seem over kill but it works and I really need my ringtone on the phone (wife due to go into labour any day soon)
Thanks

Silent Ringtone
I'm actually having this same problem, and it's 2 years later. I believe that I have found the solution though.
I'll start out by saying I got my Droid Pro about a week ago.
I downloaded the "Voice Recorder" app by Mamoru Tokashiki.
I would record audio for ringtones (generally song snippets because I'm too lazy, or stupid, or I like to make more work for myself than downloading the actual ringtones). I would retitled the files (.3gp) and hit "Set as Ringtone." Then if I toggled my volume rocker it would say Silent Ringtone Selected.
I came to these forums and immediately knew that I didn't want to root my phone or do anything like that. So a lot of people suggested it was the software. I ditched the software and downloaded "Tape-a-talk" by Markus Drosser. It records in both .3gp and .wav. I use the .wavs because they sound so much better.
It worked for me once, but then I started getting the same message. It couldn't have been a problem with the software because I ran two different apps. It's something with the way that the android system saves the files.
I tinkered around with a process that is working for me now (it involves a lot of turning on and off which is annoying, so get prepared).
1. Open recording app (I use tape-a-talk) and record your audio. It shouldn't matter the duration (I thought I was getting the silent ringtone error because my files were too long, but that's not the case).
2. Immediately set the recording (labeled with some generic date like 03-19-2012.wav) as your ringtone. Toggle the volume rocker to check if you get the silent ringtone selected. (If you do, then try re-recording as .3gp. If that still doesn't work then this process probably won't work because something else major is wrong with your phone).
3. Turn off the phone.
4. Power back up (30s downtime).
5. Open up Settings>Sounds>Phone Ringtone. If 03-19-2012 is set as your ringtone then you should be pretty okay. Go back to the home page and toggle the volume rocker again to double check.
6. Turn off the phone then power it back up.
7. Go back into your recording app and find the generic file, rename it to what you want.
8. Set the newly titled .wav or .3gp as your ringtone.
9. Toggle the rocker to make sure it saved properly.
10. If it did, then turn your phone off. Turn the phone back on and open Settings>Sounds>Phone Ringtone.
If everything worked it should have your ringtone set and saved with the new file name.
Then you're free to enjoy.
That process works for me.
Some people may still claim it is the software, but in my experience it is a matter of how your phone ends up saving the recorded files.
This information is useless if you're talking about downloading a ringtone, btw.
Hope this helps anyone in the future.
solution
i had the same problem so i searched in every option from settings
so here are the steps...
settings -> sound -> ringtone -> phone ringtone
when you open the "phone ringtone" you will see that your phone is set on "silent". well all you have to do is to choose another ringtone from that list, or, if you want a song from your music player you just set a random ringtone from the list and then go in "music" and set as ringtone your favourite song.
hope it helped ^_^

Ringtone
Don't intend hijacking the thread, but while we are on the topic of the loudspeaker, what is the most "effective" ringtone (custom, or perhaps any other that you guys use), that is easy to hear, even at crowded places.
I ask this because I have turned off the vibrate mode on ALL notifications/calls.

that's fine, my answer will be, it varies on every person.. as for me the sense ringtone is fine even in crowded places. but you can always try and test some tones, you can download zedge, they have tones of tones to offer, all you have to do is try them, you dont have to download them, you can just listen to the samples first.
Changed my default notification and ringtone sound to one that I downloaded. It plays fine when I select it in the Settings --> Sound --> Ringtone/Notification. However it does not play when I get a call or a TXT. And yes, my volume is up.
On a side note, I am so ticked that I cannot set the ringtone and notification volume levels independently!! I cant stand the wait for ROOT so we get some good ROMS

Maybe a dumb question, but have not installed any type of profile app right? I use profile apps so I can quickly change to different setups for night, meetings etc.
Well I do have Sound Manager installed. Since the ringtone and notifications is tied together right now, this app is mostly useless.
I did verify that sounds were turned up. Once I selected a sound that is included with the phone everything is fine. really a pain.
Hello everyone. My ringtone volume to 0% and while listening song i get notification sound and this makes music sound low.. is there any way to turn off notifications sound completely...
I tried silent mode but this will silence music volume too..
Currently im on miui 9.5.7 (with locked bootloader)
Missing custom ROM on my old moto g mobile. In custom ROM we have option to select ring volume and notification volume
Sorry if it is already asked here...

I never claim that I have the "right mind", but I would like to have the sound.Looking for the solution- not remarks.
No such support exists or is planned to be added in the future.

I just found 3 apps in google play store that allow playing video with sound on lock screen. Then there is another app with lock screen settings that allow to turn the sound on, but I did not run it as asking for permition to access my phone calls. Why would a app want to make a call?. Look like a video sound is turn off by manufacture or missing setting in wallpaper settings.

Hey there,
Lock screen video + sound is a feature no manufacturer provides.
Unlike video, It's a pretty useless feature to have sound playing on your lock screen everytime you open it.
Only Phone and Camera have the access to your microphone and speaker prior to unlocking your device, hence the not so wierd app permission.
Cheers !

For most people, the sound may be useless, but I would like to have it. Why, the manufacture, will let me have mp4 video but no sound?.
The app will let me play video with sound on lock screen, but the video play on home screen too - no option to play on lock screen only.
I admit, I am weird person, but I do not believe that I am the only one. There got to be some hidden setting to turn the sound on.
Why is everyone so paranoid these days? The reason Android asks for phone call permissions when installing video/audio apps is so that it knows when phone calls happen so it can lower or mute the sound volume & alert you of the incoming call. Not all permissions Android asks for are bad. Do research before making assumptions. [emoji848][emoji106]
