Is there a way to link my phone ringtone and notification volume together?
On my G2x, under Settings > Sound > Volume, there was a checkbox to make the notification and ringtone volume the same. So when I pressed the volume down button to turn my ringtone volume down, it would also turn my notification volume down. But on the GSII, I can bring my ringtone volume down low, but my notifications will still blare. The only way to adjust the notification volume is by going all the way into the sound settings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a newborn at home, and when I'm home, i want my sounds low, but when I leave the house, I want everything back all the way up. I don't want to have to go into the sound settings each time I need to raise/lower my notification volume.
Maybe an app?
Thanks!
Get Quick Settings from the Market. It has that option. I only get that app for this exact reason.

nice! works fantastic!
thanks!!!
I find the ring volume a bit too low, and i tried with Volume + app
When i test some music from the phone, it sounds really loud ( nice ) but when i receive a call, same song or ringtone i tried from the phone, isn´t the same, it´s lower the volume.
Is there a way to fix that ? I really want the ringer volume louder.
Thank you
If you have dsp manager or any other sound mods installed on your device you can try to disable them and only run volume +.

I did already but still same situation.
It should ring at the same volume, for music listening from the sd card and for the incoming calls / ring volume ?
Maybe Volume + doesen´t work for ring volume

Volume+ is for gingerbread not for jb. If you are rooted flash a custom kernel or flash a sound mod
sent from my Galaxy

Isn't it really possible to mute the ringtone without muting the alarm(s)?
Running stock 5.0.1

You can also mute the ringtone by just pressing on the volume down button on any home screen. It only effects the ringtone. Not media or alarm sounds. If you do it, look to the right side of the window that pops up. You'll see a gear icon (for lack of a better term). Touch it and you can set them all from there.
Yes, exactly. Just as I thought.
I have a HTC One X as well, and there it works just as its supposed to.
However it does not work on my M8. As soon as I mute the ringtone the alarm mutes as well. And if I try to turn the volume up for the alarm, it just slides right down again. There must be a bug.
Any suggestions to fix this without doing a factory reset?
Just upgraded to MM, and its working now
Is there anyway to separate the media volume from notification volume?
For example, in the car, whilst listening to Bluetooth audio from the phone, I need to have my media volume up, but this makes incoming notifications simply frightening and brutally loud through the audio system.
Also, why does my media volume control notification volume?
Separate Volume control Media and notification

This is on the Mate 9 as well, drives me mental, and judging by no response to your question we are screwed. This is the first android device I have used that doesnt have separate volume settings for this??
I have been tempted to flash a vanilla firmware instead of huawie to see if it has the settings but it appears all the bootloader pages are down at huawie and I cant unlock it
Love the phone apart from this??
Anyone please????
Hey!
Whenever I slide ringtone volume to zero, notification volume also jumps to zero! Any suggestions on how to solve this?
I'm on S9+ with One Ui and Android 9 (pie).
Make an MP3 of just silence using Audacity or something, set that as your ringtone when you want it silent
