Weird Speaker Issue on Nexus 5X - Nexus 5X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently got a refurbished Nexus 5x. Out of the box it was with android 6.0 . However I updated the device via OTA and got upto android 8.1.0. After the update I found that the speaker was not working. So I installed "Ampare Audio" which forced the audio through the speakers. Another issue is the earpiece speaker is not working.I have to always put my speaker on during calls. Everything was working fine on the Android 6.0 which I got out of the box.Even the earpeice was working fine.
I have tried factory data reset/flashing stock os via the google site/changed roms/everything possibe.
Please can somebody help.
I am pretty sure it is not a hardware issue as it was working on android 6.0.
Thank You

[Q] Mic issue =(

Hello, i wonder if i am the only one with this issue..
When i started using my one X (quadcore version) all seemed to work fine, then i received and installed 2 new updates from htc and my internal microphone stopped working in calls and with any app i tried.
I havent rooted or installed any custom roms. I tried the hard reset, and still nothing. It seems that the updates have problems with the internal mic, because with headphones works fine.
Any ideas?
Im trying to find how to downgrade my firmware to see if it helps.
Thanks in advance.

I need to clarify the problem, because headphones are for getting sound out of the phone, and mic is for getting sound into the phone, so I'm not sure why you mentioned headphones.
Also, you can't downgrade the software without unlocking.
Check the microphone hole at the bottom of your phone. Might be clogged with something. I had the same issue with my incredible s. Mic had suddenly stopped working. Found out that I had peanut butter stuck in the microphone hole on the cover

Seicane Pure Android 4.2 Dual-Core Unit Restore

I have aSeicane Pure Android 4.2 Dual-Core unit on my 2004 Mercedes, this unit was working almost good for one year, suddenly one day stopped to works, the only vital sign was the restore page on the display, I tried to contact Seicane for support and they asked me for the software version in order to help me but there was no way to check on Settings-About because the unit was not working but no way to let them to understand this, so I decide to follow some instructions here on the Forum, I tried to install the MTCB-KGL4-V1.99 and everything's (but the microphone on telephone calls) was good, the microphone before was working perfectly, Today I had the insane idea to try a new Firmware/MCU in order to fix the microphone issue, I installed the MTCB-KGL4-V2.02, but microphone issue is still present with the only difference that now the Bluetooth audio is choppy like if my iPhone is far from the car, I tried to reinstall the 1.99, upgrade to MCU_KGL_1_2.55_Sleep_Musik, to return to 1.86 but no way BTaudio is still terrible. what I'm doing wrong?

Audio, Mic, Calling And Wi-Fi issues

I recently encountered the infamous BLOD issue with my Nexus 5X and after finally bringing it back to life with modded boot.img, flashed the latest stock image manually and now I can't get Wi-Fi working, audio system-wide, the mic and can't place calls. But mobile-data is working, camera is working and everything else seems to work. Does anyone have any idea if something can be done? I already bought another phone, but I would still like to make the Nexus 5X work again (less the 2 compromised cores).

Bluetooth phone call issues in car

Hey there,
I'm currently running a OP3 with the OmniDragon 8.1 ROM and previously the ResurrectionRemix ROM. However, I do not believe this issue to be a ROM issue so that's why I'm posting here instead.
I've recently been having some issues with bluetooth and was hoping someone could help. I can connect my phone to my cars handsfree system perfectly fine and it works correctly. I can play music via Spotify and any other music player fine.
However, as soon as I make or receive a phone call I'm left where the person can't hear me, and I can't hear them. I can't even hear the ringing tone when phoning someone. However, as soon as I turn it from bluetooth back to the phone or just regular speaker, it works fine.
This previously was not the case when I was running Nougat.
But as soon as I upgraded to 8.1 this issue started happening.
I don't think it has anything to do with the ROM and is actually something to do with perhaps OP3 Firmware/Modem or something similar.
Car hands free works fine with other phones like an iPhone, so that's out of the question.
I've attached a catlog to this post from when this issue was happening in the car, so hopefully someone can narrow it down for me.
Any help is appreciated!
Actually many roms have been having issues with BT calls. It's due to some of the changes in the telephony package.
Hello, did you manage to find any Oreo rom that fixed this issue for you? Would appreciate any tips.
I too have had similar issues with Oreo and OnePlus 3. Using an handsfree Jabra Freeway and the microphone often does not work when I answer or phone someone during a drive. Which is extremely annoying and dangerous.
I had hopes that with the release of some alpha Android Pie roms, these BT issues would be fixed. But the issue seem to persist, at least for my device.
My only fix was to go back to nougat. The most stable rom i've found is the unofficial lineage 14.1 by sultan. This have been my daily driver for awhile now and seems to work fine.

No sound in voice calls (speakerphone only)

Hey folks, I installed Lineage OS 16 on my HTC U11 recently (unofficial version as the phone isn't officially supported) and had the known issue that there were no sounds in voice calls (I couldn't hear anyone and nobody could hear me). I successfully fixed the issue by editing two lines in the build.prop ("persist.vendor.audio.fluence.voicecall=false" and "ro.vendor.audio.sdk.fluencetype=none") as suggested by some threads in this forum.
Lately while my phone was connected to my car via bluetooth and I got a call (speakerphone), I had the same issue as mentioned above, no sound at all. After that I disconnected my phone from my car, deactivated bluetooth and called back, but the problem persisted and there was still no sound. Then I restarted my phone, called again and everything worked fine.
This happened a few times now and only when I called somebody or received a call while the phone was connected via bluetooth to an external device. It's very annoying that I can't use my phone via speakerphone anymore and that I have to restart the phone everytime after I received a call while I sat in the car.
I hope anyone has a solution for this and hopefully one that doesn't include the reinstallation of Lineage OS
Thanks in advance.
Anyone?
