Lenovo-owned Motorola recently launched its first all-metal smartphone - Moto M, in India. Priced at Rs 15,999, the handset runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. But now, the company has confirmed that Android 7.0 Nougat update will be hitting the Moto M soon.
Motorola announced the news via a tweet but did not reveal the exact time frame of the OS' release.
"The phone is out there, and the Nougat update will be out soon," tweeted Motorola India.
It is worth mentioning that the Lenovo-owned company has already started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Moto G4 and G4 Plus smartphones in India.
Android 7.0 Nougat is claimed to improve the overall experience of the OS. It brings enhanced multitasking features and better notification controls. It also introduces better data saving and battery conservation features. Some of the productivity-centric features included in the Nougat update are quick switching between apps, multi-window view and work mode (for users of Android for Work). In terms of performance, Android 7.0 Nougat brings features like Data Saver, Doze on the Go and other stability improvements.
In addition, features such as custom quick settings, quick settings bar, improved navigation, suggested settings, lockscreen wallpaper, improved system backup coverage and new emojis also come as a part of the new update.
In India Moto M will be available on open sale exclusively via Flipkart from December 14, 11:59PM.

Citibank credit card users can get Rs 1000 off on the handset. Other offers include Rs 1000 off on the Moto Pulse 2 headset and EMI options starting Rs 776 per month.
The Lineage OS is just getting out, and since A (2016) series phones really need a stock android based ROM, it would be very nice to see some developers working for this beautiful device as well. Given how popular this phone is, i think it's a shame there's no stock android ROM for it. We beg you developers, TouchWiz is really annoying!

Hello,
I am searching for a phone under 5 inch for current lineage os (and likely with support for next versions). It seems to be nearly unpossible. It is quite hard to check all supported phones for the display screen. Does someone knows if there is somewhere an overview of lineage phones where I can sort or filter the display size? Does someone uses such a phone with lineage?
I use moto e 1St gen condor. 4.3 inch and cheap. Will upgrade from mokee marshmallow as soon as audioFx is fixed or replaced by viper.
Edit: official resurrection remix seems to be the better choice in terms of stable updates.

S4 Mini is good if you are happy with a small midrange phone, but be careful you get a version which has official Linage support ie I9195, i9192, I9190 and NOT variants like i9195L (though it's normally possible to get it running on those but support is limited)
Droid 4
Really happy that I can keep my Droid 4 running through several major version of CM and now Lineage OS 14.1. 4" screen and a nifty sliding keyboard (O where have they all gone?).
I only use it a music server now so I can't speak for it's cell capabilities but it's solid performer anyway.

I own a Wileyfox Swift, as I looked for a Dual SIM device with LTE at an affordable price.
It is 5 inches, which I consider too big now, so I wonder if you found a smaller one in the meantime?
First of all thank you developers for all the amazing work. Especially nitish and anabhi for pioneer work in stable ROMs with FP sensor, running the lineage os myself.
Now we have good and stable roms based on android 8.1 and we cant thank you enough for your dedication on a phone whose company itself seems to be laziest in terms of ROM development and updates.
But we would love to get the lineage os 16 based on android pie and for those of you who dont know here are some of the best features this ROM:-
The UI is totally reamped and fluid.
Great battery life
Record screen with internal audio built in for PUBG gamers like me.
Disable the notch for specific apps(which i really miss from color OS)
Night mode easiely available, its present in 15.1.as well under color temperature in live display.
Its based on PIE.
AND MANY MORE
And I know that devs might need a stable color os 6 based on pie rom for the base of developing pie roms and I toally get it but If there is way to do it earlier its would be amazing, if not I have faith in you that you will work very fast as the color os 6 comes out in june, which I am not sure as REALME is so bad in terms of major updates just like every other brand in this segment.
Again thanks to devs and you have done more than one can ever ask for THANK YOU from the whole REALME 2 PRO COMMUNITY
???????
Color os 6.0 Update
Does anyone received color os 6 update for realme 2 pro?
I haven't
so, planning on buying new mobile. The choice was between mi11x and realme x7 max. i know for the fact realme wont be having custom development (mediatek) . So the choice was MI. I am not a heavy gamer or user, i play cod mobile and use some technical apps. until now i am using samsung j8 (sd450 chipset) and i play cod in it. not a bad experience. so i thouht mi 11 lite is more than enough. but i hate miui or any other. i am custom to one ui and stock. so if the mi 11 lite doestn't have custom development ..... sadly i have to pass. and one more does it has nfc ?
NFC is there.
As for custom roms, at the moment there are no developments ongoing for this model AFAIK, but the phone is brand new.
In my opinion the street price is still too high for this phone, so few people bought it and there is little community interest ATM, but things might change in the future.
