Hi Guys, we know 6T is One of the Netflix HD 4K certificated devices for L1 certification, unlike the Mi 8, and this can be from my personal side a decision point because I do use 4K contents a lot.
Now I know that after unlooking the bootloader we loose this ability and the service get recognized as an L3 Widevine device because of root.
I think that if we hide root through Magisk, and filter Netflix APP and all related software/services/apps/ and DRM info app etc, by correcting configuring latest Magisk, and of course we add also play store and Google service framework to Magisk hide filter after cancelling data in order to get on play store "certified device", I think that L1 certification will work but I can try test by myself because I don't have the 6T.
Can anyone make these tests and confirm once for all and for everyone that if we unlock the bootloader on 6T there will be never a way to have the L1 certifications?
Can anyone with 6T ALREADY unlocked bootloader check DRM info app if it reports L1 by hidding Netflix in Magisk? No need for risk or operations, just who already have an unlocked 6T with magisk, can just check, no operations to do, no request particular, just a check to know if it works or not.
Useless to reply to above comment, the guy must have some serious relationship and inner hate problems, go get solved for your sake. :*

The OP6T has L1 when it's stock/locked bootloader.
Unlocking the bootloader puts it to L3.
OP if you can elaborate on this that would be great, I don't particularly care about L1 but I'll happily test. You aren't specific at all as to what you think should be hidden through magisk. Maybe download the official 9.0.6 OTA and look through it and list exactly what you want done.
I hid Netflix in MagiskHide and repacked Magisk Manager. I know it works because I pass SafetyNet and can play Pokemon Go.
DRM Info still says L3 with an unlocked bootloader. Didn't bother to hide DRM Info, but it wouldn't matter (it's not a detection issue, the decryption keys are unreadable with the bootloader unlocked).
Hope that answers your question OP. Also, this should have been in Q&A.
I don't even have Netflix installed and it's L3. Yet on my v30, rooted with Xposed and with Oreo and Netflix, I'm at L1.
Other than the OS, the Widevine is vslersion1.0 (v30 L1) and 6t is 14.0 (L3) maybe we could port v1 somehow?
I have no idea how any of this works so just throwing ideas out there

Read a bit before making theories. Widevine ISN'T linked to root or OS! It's encoded directly in the chip and is only linked to bootloader status, which can't be hidden. You can hide root 234678 times under 35678 carpets for 368322 apps Netflix will still be reading L3 as it's at hardware device level.
You're asking to add oranges and bananas

It's in the Trusted Zone of the processor. Nothing to do with OS

What he said...to the original poster, I'm sure you've read my previous threads. Any modern device has Widevine and bootloader status intertwined. It's not going to happen.
Unlock bootloader = L3
Locked bootloader = L1
What I had to decide (and you will too) as to which is more important...
Substratum / Titanium Backup
<<OR>>
HD Video for DRM content + no jumping through hoola hoops for updates of ROM (reinstalling TWRP/Magisk) and updates of apps (constantly re-applying substratum themes)

Off-topic but: Could you elaborate on rootless system-wide ad-blocking? I didn't encounter anything working as good as AdAway with root in terms of blocking ads within apps and the web.

Thank you very much, mister! I tried some VPN-based blocking apps before but they didnt work quite well. Blokada is open source and works very well as far as I can tell in this short time. Thank you!
Blokada is VPN based which is a no-no for some people, if you're not aware of it being a problem for you it probably isn't.
Of you're still wondering about this all I do is find the Netflix apk online download it, install it and then my phone let's me get updates through the play store for it again. I'm not sure if it tricks it but I don't do anything other than that and I haven't had any issues with Netflix. Bootloader unlocked with root and mods

There's a test for resolution within Netflix I forget how to get to it if you Google it you could probably find it but can you run that and report back the resolution if it bypasses it you should get 1080p or higher but if it doesn't it will be at most 480p
Edit: just search test patterns on Netflix its in there

I'm not sure about any of that I'm running 1080 but I also hide magisk from Netflix so maybe that helps? Either way it's definitely a solution. As soon as you unlock your bootloader Google play hides Netflix. But if you find the apk online and install it then root and hide magisk you should be fine

Magisk 13 beta is out, which should pass Safetynet. But it is beta, and some folks are having various issues/bugs.
Also, on my current daily driver device (OnePlus 3T) I've tried Magisk 12 with the Magisk module "Universal Safetynet Fix" and it passes Safetynet.
Link to various Magisk threads, if the OP is interested: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk
You are completely right, it's the typical "cat and mouse game", where Google doesn't like Safetynet bypassed, will keep updating it; and topjohnwu (dev of Magisk) will keep trying to bypass it. Really annoying, for those of us that just want control of their phone (for simple things like Viper4A, Titanium, etc.) but still want access to banking apps, Netflix, etc.

Sure, but I see some problems by using of custom roms on my other phone (Z Play), so I prefer to get official updates without unlocking the bootloader for my newer Z2 Force. Second reason is the guarantee for manufacturer issues. And I need the Z2 Force for watching videos like netflix and co, so safety net needed. SD 835 can content play in HD from netflix, so important thing. On Z Play I can see the pixels (just Full HD), but on Z2 Force it's perfect. Much better, you can't see pixels anymore. That's perfect to play movies. Many people try to explain that we can't see the difference, but I see it. VR an Co is all better now. And I hope that we get 3 years Security Updates. It's an expensive business phone for 800€, so we should get updates for long time.

You can book YouTube Premium(europe). Then you get support for background playback. That's new, calls YouTube Red, too. Maybe that helps.

You can use the YouTube Vanced edition that is available as an apk or get it from Magisk. It allows background playback and ad blocking plus some other settings that the stock YouTube app doesn't have like forced Codecs and Max resolution override as well as a few themed editions. It's the only version of YouTube I will use. There is even a version available for non-rooted devices that still gives the same options.

Apps that use liboemcrypto.so to play content protected by DRM, such as Netflix and My5, will fail when playback is attempted on a rooted device.
The symptoms displayed by affected devices vary by brand and Android version. Some devices may display an obscure error message when you attempt playback. Others may just appear stuck loading the requested content.
This Magisk module fixes the problem by masking liboemcrypto.so with a zero byte replacement. Whilst the same effect could be achieved by simply deleting or renaming liboemcrypto.so with a root-enabled file manager, this has the disadvantage of altering your /system partition by writing to the file-system. The advantage of the Magisk method is that no actual changes are made to the device. The problematic file is merely concealed from the apps that attempt to use it.
To use the module, flash it in the Modules section of Magisk Manager and then reboot your device.
The module works when the library in question is located at either /system/lib/liboemcrypto.so or /system/vendor/lib/liboemcrypto.so. If your library is located elsewhere (or missing), this module will have no effect (but it's harmless to try it).
The module has been verified working on a Samsung Galaxy S9+ (SM-G965F/DS) running Magisk 16.x/17.x/18.x on a variery of ROMs, on a Samsung Tab S3 (SM-T820) running stock Android 8.0 and Magisk 16.x/17.x, and on a Samsung Tab S4 (SM-T830) running stock Android 8.1 and Magisk 17.x/18.x. It was created because a similar module on XDA did not work on my devices. It is being released by popular request, because a number of other users contacted me with the same complaint.
The module was integrated into the official Magisk module repository on 2018-06-27, and can therefore be directly downloaded from within the Magisk Manager app.
Please note that a consequence of using this module is that Widevine DRM will fall back to using L3 instead of L1. This means that Netflix will play all content in SD quality, regardless of your subscription type. Of course, without this module, you won't be able to play anything on a rooted device, so beggars can't be choosers.

Hey guys, has anyone gotten Gpay to work on lineage 19.1? I have done the following and have had very odd results. Firstly, I am passing safteynet and my device is registered as play certified in Google play store. I'm seeing where sometimes gpay won't open at all and when it does it says it is unable to load my payment methods.
Specs:
OS - linageOS 19.1 (latest build as of this post)
GAPPS - Mindthegapps (latest build as of this post)
Steps taken:
Installed magisk, enabled zygisk and rebooted
Installed magisk hide props module then rebooted
Installed shamiko module then rebooted
Installed universal safteynet fix (zygisk) then rebooted
Configured denylist in magisk checking GPS (all), and Gpay (all) rebooted
Changed device fingerprint with magisk hide props module to a certified one then rebooted
Additional steps taken:
I cleared data from GPS, play store and Gpay and rebooted
I tried a different device fingerprint and rebooted (clearing data like above afterwards and rebooting again)
I have done a complete fresh install of my OS and tried again from scratch.
I also tried seeing is renaming magisk would help at all, it didn't
It appears I'm getting nowhere with this. If anyone has gotten it to work and has some insight it's be greatly appreciated!
Nevermind, looks like it was an issue from having the pixelify module installed as well. After I removed it it started working just fine.

Not that I've found, however I did notice if you install the pixelify module then uninstall it, it does seem to leave some stuff behind.

Just also wanted to clarify in the case I decide to install magisk, which module do you install exactly? All of them? Zygisk/hide props module/shamiko/universal safetynet fix?

Ok so here is the breakdown:
Zygisk is not a module, but an implementation method used by modules. Magiskhide props is used to change the device fingerprint to a valid one that registers as protected by google play. Shamiko is for hiding root from Google play services, and Gpay (and whatever other apps may need it). Universal safteynet fix is used to help pass google safteynet checks (security). Not listed is the pixelify module used to add pixel exclusive features but of course with it install it cause havoc on Gpay and other apps so once installed it should be uninstalled.
TLDR
Yes all of them

You install the pixelify module? Also can you explain how it's not working?

Nope, I didn't. Other than the modules to hide from banking apps as mentioned above, I installed a pixel launch module here to make it for pixel-like: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/app-mod-pixel-launcher.4442077/
Other than that nothing else.
It doesn't;t work in the sense that it does not pick up music, even popular ones. The settings are there though, I can see them. It just doesn't identify any songs

This is the pixelify module I installed then removed, you can give it a try.

I installed Android 13 yesterday and had some trouble getting GPay/Wallet contactless payments working. Here's what eventually worked for me:
Magisk 25.2 (Github, XDA)
Hide Magisk app
Enable Zygisk
Enforce DenyList
Add the usual suspects to DenyList (Google Play Store, Google Services Framework, Google Play Protect Service, Wallet/GPay app)
Install @Displax Universal SafetyNet Fix Mod as a Magisk module (kdrag0n's unmodded original did not work for me)
Clear storage/cache from GPay/Wallet, Play Store, and Play Services
Reboot
And that's it. No messing around with hiding props configs or anything like that.
I used a couple of apps to check my Safetynet/Play Integrity status: YASNAC (Github, Play Store) and Integrity Checker by @1nikolas (Play Store). On YASNAC, you need to pass Basic integrity and CTS profile match. On Integrity Checker, you need MEETS_DEVICE_INTEGRITY (which I didn't have with the standard Universal Safetynet Fix; I needed Displax's mod) and MEETS_BASIC_INTEGRITY. I don't have MEETS_STRONG_INTEGRITY; it's my understanding that you can't get that with root/unlocked bootloader at the moment. However, it appears you can get contactless payments working without it.
I hope having all this information together helps others, as I had a bit of trouble hunting it down.
Bringing from the kernel thread so we keep the off-topic to a minimum there.

Reinstalling SafetyNet Fix 2.3.1 in Magisk Modules seems to be working fine.
Spoiler: YASNAC CTS profile check

But still I haven't DEVICE_INTEGRITY in Play Integrity API checker. upd. after cleaning cache, now it doesn't have even BASIC.

The app is probably corrupted, others are just doing fine. Anyway.

The newer Mod version of 2.3.1 Universal Safety Net fix referenced in the OP fixed the device integrity for me just now. I uninstalled the original fix (didn't reboot yet), then installed the new fix, rebooted, and I got device integrity passed.

You don`t need to add all this stuff to DenyList when using USNF.
Weird that some don't work and others do *typical of Google though I guess lmao*. I've been using mine fine since the moment I first flashed it without any of above hassle. The Wallet might be bank related but integrity I dunno what would be the difference
This worked for me. I followed the same procedure in the exact order and experienced the same thing all the way through. Thanks very much for taking the time to make this post, I was absolutely dreading this and you made it easy for me!

Thanks! Appreciate the tip and the great work on the mod!
You can also install Shamiko for banking apps that need to be hidden. Mark but disable the deny list.
For those that have done this, is all DRM related stuff working with Widevine L1, etc (Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, etc)...
I can confirm for Hulu, works perfectly well with Displax's mod of USNF 2.3.1 and Shamiko.
Is it weird I'm still passing Integrity and Safetynet after the Android 13 update with the original kdrag0n module? Or is this one of those slow rollout things that will eventually affect me?
Thanks for this! Did the exact steps as the OP and everything works perfectly!

Until I used the SafetyNet v1.31 MOD version, I only passed basic integrity in the Integrity Checker app. After I installed the MOD version, I then passed Device Integrity as well.

That's what's weird, I pass both Basic and Device Integrity without the new MOD version, just using the old kdrag0n module. I guess it'll just hit me eventually lol
