Hello, I'm using a Redmi Note 5 (636) and when I try to set up hotspot, the devices that connect to my phone have incredibly low speeds, to the point where they can send text messages via WhatsApp, but not pictures. This never happened on MIUI 9 nor early MIUI 10 versions.
Devices not working properly with my hotspot: Samsung J7 2016, Huawei P10 lite and my HP Pavilion 15 laptop.
I don't think this is carrier-related, as I actually get over 50 GB of data per month and my carrier doesn't force a limit on the hotspot speed.
Do you guys have any suggestions? The phone is not rooted.

Have 250Mbit broadband and with my Samsung I get full speed (I'm in the same room as router) but with honor 8 pro I got 140Mbit o my one time. Now it's so slow as 7Mbit.. Tried reseting device several times.. And in WiFi settings I have excellent connection. It saying 433Mbit but on Samsung it says 768Mbit.. Please help me out? Kind regard Dexter
I'm suffering the same issue! 5G speed slows down till it switches to mobile data or just gets stalled, connected but without data moving at all.
Not related to my router, because I've "enjoyed" this issue at home, at the office, airports, friend's places... Always the same behavior: speed goes down till no data flow at all, but still connected to 5G WiFi
I am also facing same problem what happens with honor ui i contact to customer support of honor they told me that u have to hard reset the device by in booting menu then i got fine but after 2 days wifi speed goes down on honor 8 pro seriously then I'm waiting for developers rom but there is no official rom available for this device :crying:??
Same here.. I've got Netgear r6220 router and the max link speed i m getting is 390mbps on 5ghz.
i am using redmi 6 pro from 3 years but now one problem is coming. the problem is that my phone is only getting half of internet speed on wifi as compared to other devices. its ping is very high. i am connected to a wifi network which is my home wifi . all other mobile laptop are getting full speed but my phone is getting half speed and sometimes it drops to 0. i have flashed it with custom rom & official rom but nothing is happening. please help me to solve this problem
im having a random issue in my device in which when i connect to my wifi i get network speed then somehow after around 10 second or so the speed drops so slow that i cant even send a whatsapp message even youtube streaming or any other thing that requires net doesnt work i have dual band wifi so if i switch to my other wifi then its the same case so basically when ever i need to do something or send a message i need to switch wifi so the messages get delivered and then to recheck if there are any notification or any message i just have to again reconnect wifi plz give a solution either this is a software issue or a hardware issue
My Redmi Note 8 Pro WiFi also keeps on disconnecting. Running on Stock MIUI 12.0.5, Non rooted device.
Redmi NOTE 11T 5G & Note 7 Pro plagued with Ping spikes during gaming on both Mobile Data and Wifi. PLEASE HELP. Other devices have nice ping on same wifi at same time.

These lag spikes might be from performance, is your phone overheating?
RedMi Note 9 Pro Max - Switching from Wifi to Mobile Data not working.

i am fairly knowledgeable with rooting and tweaking things on my phone, but ever since i manualy updated from android 12L to the new june feature drop my Ultra capacity has dropped from my phone... I know that there is some radio changes from android 12L to mainline android 12 and June feature drop .. i have tried flashing all three radios succesfully and still have not managed to get it to come back... are any of you experiencing any kind of radio issues with the new updates?? any recommendations ? attatched are the radios for android 12L android June feature drop and android 12 stable.
I just checked mine (T-Mobile US) & and I didn't even bother to check, as I'm usually on WI-FI most of the time, but, it was showing 5G (no UC).
I toggled the WI-FI off & on & now I'm indicating 5G UC.

After a few minutes of being back on WI-FI, the 5G (no UC) comes back.
Seems to drop down to 5G while on WI-FI, but, stays connected to 5G UC when WI-FI is turned off.

I'm having the same problem on my P6. I tried turning Wifi off but it still reverted back to regular 5G after a few minutes.
While this particular bug isn't bothering me too much (on WI-FI almost all of the time),it's one of several reasons I'm switching back to the latest stable firmware (getting bootloops while rooted on Android 12 QPR3,did not have that problem on Tiramisu 13,but,I'm not seeing much on any betas,if anything,to stay on either one).
Mine shows 5G UC with the newest June update. I did not have to do the airplane mode trick.
We don't have 5G working at all in UAE using P6 pro, very disappointed.
All other phones including chines brand (Xiaomi , oppo ....) 5g is ok.
