LineageOS problem with VOIP apps and Updates S6 - LineageOS Questions & Answers

Hello, i did install LineageOS on my Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920F.
I love this ROM but i have several problems:
- VOIP apps doesn't work correctly: whatsApp audio, videocalls, calls... the audio is slow. When audio has 5 seconds, on play during 10 seconds. I tried to resolve it but nothing works for me.
- I have problem with updates too. Updates are downloaded but when i try to install appear an error.
On the recovery, the download folder is empty.
- The call screen is gone when i do a call, but i resolved it with another dialer APK.
I don't want to back a stock rom, but this work fine, but i need to resolve this problems... can somebody help me?
Thanks.

Official ROM? Built in updater? Latest twrp? Searched in data/lineageOS_updates?
Calling screen could be an issue with dirty proximity sensor. Tried sensor status app like satstat?

Hello, finnaly i can apply the update searching on folder which you said.
Yes, its the official ROM:
- 14.1-20181126-NIGHTLY-zerofltexx
- Android 7.1.2
- S6 SM-G920F
- TWRP VERSION: 1.1.9
I found new problems:
- The dialer works but with audio problems. The people that call me said they hear a echo while they are speaking with me.
- If i use headphones on a call, this produces a interferences.
- Speaker works correctly and its clean. With stock ROM works fine.
WhatsApp and VOIP:
- WhatsApp calls reproduces my voice very slow.
- WhatsApp audio sound slowly with interferences.

Hmm.. OK. I have the latest official LineageOS 14.1 along with OpenGApps Super with a custom configuration file to stop some languages and a couple of apps getting installed. I have several other apps but nothing special and I my phone is not rooted. I also installed the very latest baseband via Odin.
Flashing the Aldeon kernel was simple and I didn't experience any issues with booting. I installed this kernel about three versions of Lineage 14.1 back as well and each time I have re-installed the kernel as it gets overwritten by the lineage update. I have never had any booting issues - I obviously do a wipe cache/dalvik after flashing.
Not sure what else I can advise? This definitely cured my VoIP issues with WhatsApp and Skype for Business.
Andy

I do a wipe cache after install the kernel (from custom recovery). Doesn't work too.
I dont want to do a clean install again... But i think that i come back to stock rom...

OK. Is your phone rooted or do you have Magisk installed? A clean flash isn't a big deal if you are signed into Google as it will just restore your apps and settings as long as you sign in as part of the 1st boot (WiFi settings etc all get restored).
Plus you can also just create a TWRP backup and then do a clean flash and see if it fixes it. If it doesn't you can obviously just restore the backup.

Thansk a lot.
Sounds like another one of these.

If you got UVUENC2 running on there either by kies or odin then at least the motherboard is a T999. Im wondering if maybe you got mixed components from whoever sold it to you.
Check the imei and sn against the sticker under the battery.

Thanks, exactly, i forgot coment, the IMEI and SN is not the same that the numbers that appears in Settings.
I discover this when i change the display, and kies flash until i wrote i747m and serial in Kies flash t-mobile rom.
Other thing that i forgot, when i flash the fhon in download mode, don appears the progress bar, in others models that i have always shows the progress at the same time in odin, and in this case only odin shows the progress.
Thanks
I would contact the seller for an explanation before going much further, especially regarding the imei.

What else can I do?
PD; The phone is unlocked, and works to make and recive calls.
Find the thread in general that hss the dialer codes and use that to check the cameras firmware version. Then grab an ATT rom and see if there is a corresponding file in the cameradata folder and copy it to yours. (Or you could try just copying the whole folder to see if it works).
If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what else to tell you...

I flahs drivers camera and doesn´t works, I root and flash recovery TWRP, i was reading that maybe need to flash a different kernel, the question is what kernel you recommend me to flash to try to work the hardware.
Thanks
Stock kernel is all I use. Kernel thread is in General section. All you can do is try a few and see.
You said you flashed the camera driver? What exactly did you fo and what did you flash? Did you use the dialer code to check the cam firmware version?
When in download mode does it show the model?

I used this code:
*#34971539# Camera Firmware Update
based on this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/jb-4-1-2-camera-driver-t2006128
Cause this was my case
Rear Camera ZDFE02
Phone FW ZDFI02
After flashing
Rear Camera ZDFE02
Phone FW ZDFE02
But doesn´t works
In /system/cameradata, do you see SlimISP_ZD.bin? Or something to that effect...
Rear camera is the firmware version currently being used by the camera. Phone FW is the firmware loaded on the phone along with the rom or device firmware. So initially, what was on the phone was newer (this is normal btw). We used to be able to write the newer fw from Phone to Cam ourselves, but Damsung patched against that in 4.1.2.
In other words, whst it says for phone and rear cam do not need to match. Just make suure you have that ZD file in the cameradata folder.

I'm not responsible for any damage to your device of any sort.
By flashing this you take responsibility of anything that happens.
Process at your own risk!
This is first draft version, I'm not able to check it myself (I have P900 only). This is port - it's based on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2786899
Please somebody check firmware, hope it will run and we will move step by step to make it fully working. If it will work - I'll make build from sources.
Known Issues
Expect mtp problem.
Instructions
1. Download the zip(s) - firmware and Google Apps additional package (optional)
2. Download and install a compatible recovery
3. Wipe data & cache partitions and flash firmware
4. Optional: install the Google Apps additional package

Thanks to CyanogenMod team and special thank to crpalmer, his hard work on fix all problems for original SM-T525 finally allow create the port for SM-P905.
Finally! What a christmas gift!
Great, finally some development for the P905 :fingers-crossed:
Tried on SM-P905M with twrp 2.8.0. and the rodpp stock kernel with setenforce enabled - permissive mode
Wiped data & cache, flashed the zip atached and gapps mini right away.
Not lucky, got stuck on the Galaxy note screen.
Can someone else test on the SM-P905 (without the M), and maybe with the stock kernel without modifications?

The rodpp kernel is for a TouchWiz stock ROM, it will not work with any AOSP based ROM.
CM11 V0= Boot Loop
V1= Freeze on Samsung Screen with SE warning in Top Left corner
V2= Freeze on Samsung Screen no Warning.
V3 pending

I meant I had the rodpp kernel before flashing CM11, but i assumed that in the flashing process, a new kernel is flashed toghether, but i'm not sure about it.
Is that so? Or do I have to flash a new compatible kernel after flashing the CM11? Although i've tried to learn before, honestly i dont even fully understand what exactly is a kernel.

First you need to make a backup of your current ROM and Data to the external SD, I also suggest separate Data partition, or a Titanium BU after this, as it will facilitate the re-installation of your favorite apps.
After this advanced wipe your; dalvik cache | cache | system | data | internal SD
The CyanogenMod ROM contain both system and kernel, no separate install is necessary
Since your Tab is freshly wiped, it doesn't matter what you had before.
First, thanks so much for P905 - the best tablet out there - developement...
The feedback is however somehow hard to understand.
Can someone summarize if any of those builds work (ie. boot at least...) at the moment?

Me and Rusty-island tested and both of us got bootloop. Valera1978 removed the link to the rom. Maybe he is preparing a new version. He doesn't have the device, so he is developing in the dark and needs fast and precise feedback. :fingers-crossed:

Thanks again for the rom. It's been some time that no new version has been posted (V2 being stuck at Samsung Logo). Do you have ideas on how to solve the problem and are you still working on it? If I can be of any help for testing, it will be a pleasure.
updates? Looking forward for that! Please count me in if you need any feedback logs..
@Valera1978
Hey, first off, thank you for your efforts! :good:
And please, don't give up! You are actually have been the only dev to create such awesome thing to out P905 and P905M.
So THANK YOU, and please KEEP IT UP.
Afaik dev has removed links to the roms. Is it however possible to reupload, even non-working, roms again? If the problem is in the kernel itself only, the community might be able to find a way to run the roms by modifying available kernels, so they still may be highly usable.
Hope the developement will be continued....
+1
I would love to see this project get back again. It would be awesome to run CM into our devices.
u mentioned this is a port for the P905..this is the verison varaint correct?..my model number has a V on the end of P905..did you leave the V out or is this another varaint?...this is only rom ive found for the verison varaint ..hope this is for it..cause there is nothing else..im assumeing im gonna go ahead root with towel root, flash twrp recovery for theverison variant, then install this rom, cause its only one with my model number...is this a stable rom yet?...thanks in advance for any assistanse or response..and thank you for the hARD WORK ON THE ROM!! WE ALL APPRECIATE IT
edit-...OK IN SEE THIS ISNT SUPPORTED ANY LONGER...SORRY...ANY ROMS FOR THE sm-p905v VERISON VARIANT YET..DONT SEE ANY YET..
It's not stable yet and work was started on the rom and then it stopped suddenly... hopefully the dev picks it back up or another dev does... these are great tablets would be awesome to get a working rom for the p905 versions

A3 2017 - RAW photography

Hello everyone.
I believe that the A3 2017 should have the Camera2 API on the stock Nougat rom.
Can someone please confirm this?
Does the build.prop have:
persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=0
or
persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1
I would like to know this before actually buying the device.
Thanks!
I took a look and I couldn't find it, here you go anyway.

@AK2H Could you add the persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1 line and try with Open Camera to see if it does indeed take dng photos ?
Thanks!
In which line should i add it exactly?
And what are the differences that should I see to recognize if it did work or not?

You can add the line anywhere, the position doesn't matter.
To see if it worked, using Open Camera (or any other app that shoots RAW, just enable RAW capture) you should have a .jpg and a .dng file for every photo you take.
I added the line and saved the chenges and rebooted (also I didn't notice what was the file permissions before I modified it, so I set it to rw--r--r anyway because that's the norm for most cases)
I installed open camera app form play store and enabled the (Use Camera2 API) option.
Took a picture and checked the pics folder and i found the picture in .jpg only

Did you use a root file browser?
Some file browsers do not see the .DNG files
Thank you for trying it !
Wish you a pleasant weekend!
I used root browser for editing
And Samsung stock file browser for checking
Edite:
I checked using root browser and same results sadly.
You are welcome and Happy weekend to you too

Yes I did change the ones mentioned in initial post
I am on official AEX 4.6
There are 2 more lines in build.prop
Ro.product.model
Ro.aex.device
And there are some camera tweaks in there too:
persist.camera.imglib.fddsp=1
persist.camera.llc=1
persist.camera.llnoise=1
persist.camera.stats.test=0
camera.disable_zsl_mode=1
Do I have to change any of these too?

Seemed to work before the buildprop changes took effect. After flashing the zip, I managed to take some photos, I edited b.p through kernel auditor and rebooted. Since, I get the following error when taking a picture with the back facing camera. I am able to shoot video and 5ake selfies though.
Pease advise, noob here, but seems like something that should be solvable.
I am on AEX 4.6 as well.

Here it is

Desperately need help removing spyware that has created persistent filesystems

So my Nexus 5X started behaving abnormally numerous Wi-Fi drops, the size of the internal storage increasing drastically in a short amount of time and other random uncharacteristic behavior. My phone was unrooted with locked bootloader so I read the recovery logs and kernel logs and noticed something was not quite right. My wireless gateway had my Mac address as my IP address and my Mac address. When scanning for open ports on my phone I noticed there were hundreds of open ports in the very high range of ports. I tried to flash the factory image from the Google site and it restored some persistent file systems that are not part of the stock system image. So I rooted my phone to have a look within the root of the system and saw this modified build. Prop file. it seems as though I am running via a virtual machine created inside my Android phone. There are many many system apps installed that are not stock system apps. Any information, knowledge, help on my situation would be greatly appreciated!

Doing a quick comparison to the build.prop on my device (I'm running crDroid), I don't believe I see anything out of the ordinary. Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't doing a "full wipe" and reinstall of the ROM wipe out any malware??
Yes it should, just as flashing Google provided factory images should wipe the phone completely and install a fresh stock OS and NOT automatically restore additional filesystems that are not a part of the Nexus Factory Image installed
Just curious, how are you "seeing" all of the find systems? I ran "mount" (as root) and got the following in my device:
