Does native video calling work on custom roms yet? This is the only thing stopping me from switching to custom as I use this feature too much.

It works on 8.1 ROMs based on LineageOS.
Unfortunately, not working in any of the 9.1 ROMs yet.

yes i've used the search function but i was wanting to know if theres a app where still camera has focus and video camera which records at 720p? i know the MIUI can focus but not sure about 720p recording.
MIUI camera has no 720p in GingerVillain 2.6
LGCamera neither. AFAIK it depends on the ROM.
i'm running CM7.0.3 and it doesnt. any idea which does?

Cyanogenmod is an aosp rom and these roms does not support 720p, no matter what camera app you use.
so basically only stock roms supports 720p?

He's obviously using a Sense based rom and he's basically complaining about how Sense roms have screwed up camera when it comes to video playback. If there was a way to fix this, obviously the devs would have done it by now..
I'd like to know if the new official mm update still has snapchat video recording issues. I've tried many roms, so far it only works on cm13 based roms and I'm still getting video lag. In 5.0 stock the video is completely black. Do you guys know any rom that does not come with these issues? Thanks
Hi everyone,
I see that HDR is working in the stock camera app, but only on Sense based roms. I can't get HDR to work in any other apps on stock (or Viper) and it doesn't work in any applications on Lineage based roms. I read at one point that it's something that's being worked on, but that was months ago and I haven't seen any updates since.
Does anyone have a rom where HDR works? If not, can anyone explain why this feature is non-functional (closed source drivers, etc) and if there's any hope that it'll work in the future?
I have HDR on aex ROM with snap cam. It's a paid app.
Hey,
I'm currently looking for a smartphone with long battery life and support of HQ sound (LDAC preferred).
I found some ROMs with Android 8.0 and I heard that this version of OS supports LDAC. Does it mean that when I install one of these ROMs, I will be able to use LDAC?

LDAC is included in AOSP since Oreo so you should be able to use it on every 8+ ROM until someone will remove it from his ROM. It is visible in my codec selection menu on LOS15.1 but I can't test it for you since I'm not in possession of any wireless headphones. I believe that you should look for information and how it works on other phones threads too, not only here. There is possibility that Lineage doesn't support this codec itself since stock haven't supported it but I'm not sure about that since LDAC is part of AOSP unlike AptX for example where your phone needs to be certified to allow developers to include this codec in official builds.
Basically you can add any existing bluetooth audio codec to your phone's ROM. There's not any hardware requirements besides bluetooth so I believe that you should be able to use it.
