Any non-sense roms with HDR? - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone,
I see that HDR is working in the stock camera app, but only on Sense based roms. I can't get HDR to work in any other apps on stock (or Viper) and it doesn't work in any applications on Lineage based roms. I read at one point that it's something that's being worked on, but that was months ago and I haven't seen any updates since.
Does anyone have a rom where HDR works? If not, can anyone explain why this feature is non-functional (closed source drivers, etc) and if there's any hope that it'll work in the future?

I have HDR on aex ROM with snap cam. It's a paid app.

Camera apps & HDR not working on 4.4.x

I know the HDR+ function is not supported for our devices but the HDR function on other camera apps I've downloaded doesn't works either on 4.4.x ROMS and the stock camera app it's not so good, doesn't have many options. I love aokp, cyanogen, omni but I've been sticking to TouchWiz ROMS just because I love to take pictures and it supports HDR and other options from its stock camera app and many other camera apps out there. Some good camera apps don't even open at all in these ROMS. Is this kernel related or something? Can I work around this to stick to 4.4.x ROMS?

LG G3 Oreo Rom w/ camera

ok this is my first post here, so tell me if i posted somwhere wrong..
but my question is is there any Oreo rom, doesn't matter if it's 8.0 or 8.1.
that has a working camera, and that it can record..
You can record on all Oreo roms, but you need like footej camera or open camera apps. The stock will work when LOS devs fix it.
quality of images can vary depending on the app and the used setting!
open camera works nice, there is aswell a htc camera port here - that works:

Crdroid has fixed camera so now everything works perfectly.
Got D855TR; I've tried almost all of the 8.1 and 8.0 roms available here, unfortunately none of them gets my back camera or flash working (front camera works)... It is not hardware related because if I go back to stock MM 6.0 , they both work flawlessly... I am hoping devs will resolve these soon but seems like many people are having camera issues.. If anyone got any suggestions or ideas, I'd really appreciate it

Are the Gcams on custom ROMs different than the Gcams by Arnova, BSG, etc?

There are some custom ROMs that ship with Gcam. I was wondering if the Gcam in these ROMs is different than the ones ported by Arnova and other devs for the Oneplus 5T. Are those Gcams the same thing? Or are they different i.e. more stable and better?
I used liquid remix for a while and it was ARNova82 itself but the front camera worked phenomenally as I guess the camera 2 API was enabled and the gcam itself was natively installed and not as a third party app. The portraits looked straight out of a pixel and I faced no issues on any of the features.
They're the same ones. Developers choose whichever they wish to package into their custom firmware.

AOSP camera app supporting 4K

Hey everyone,
I can see there are some AOSP based ROMs for G7. I've tried some already, but my G7 is a daily driver, so I can't be reflashing it all day long to check on my own.
Thus I'd like to ask you guys, is there any camera app for AOSP based ROM, that supports same qualities LG's built-in camera app does? Expecially slow-mo (up-to [email protected] FPS), [email protected] FPS, wideangle camera, OIS.
I tried a GCam (+ some mods for G7) and some apps that are available on Play store. None of those was supporting 4K. Some were not even working well with OIS.
I would really like to get a custom ROM (LG's ROM is full of bugs), but this kind of limitation is a deal breaker for me.

Question To those running custom ROMs, do you guys miss OOS Cam?

Post title.
I've had this phone for nearly a year at this point, and the main reason I got it was on my OP7P, all the nice custom roms I could try out. However, the difference between there and here is that custom ROMs on that phone had OOS Cam, they also had the ability to dualboot.
I've avoided being on a custom rom this entire time is because I don't want to give up OOS Cam, but what do you guys feel about the lack of it? I know GCam exists but you can't use 4K120/60 video recording with GCam as far as I know. Has there been any changes to the app to allow for that?
I think that more and more people are asking for it to be integrated in custom ROMs. The thing is that on the opposite of the OnePlus 7 OOS cam app, the OnePlus 9 Pro's is heavily tied to OPPO's ColorOS Camera. And from what I understood, ColorOS has been a pain to deal with for developers, as OPPO isn't as community orentied as OnePlus.
That's one of the things stopping me from switching to a custom ROM. When I've tried GCam on OOS, none of the ports are stable enough. I'm not a huge camera user, but if my camera could crash when I WANT to use it, that would piss me off.
I found somewhere in this forum port of OOS cam, photos and videos working, some features missing tho, lucky I don't use them
So, custom ROM can live with OOS cam

That camera is from OP7 AFAIk, and it's next to useless. photo processing is broken, and video fails at 60fps, so people may as well use Gcam since it's does a far better job than that broken port.
