Have you tried installing stock via Odin?

Actually our device supports treble project there is a lot of treble roms but I recommend phh aosp treble ROM but consider taking backup before flashing the gsi image is the most important step.
Now let me know if anyone has tried it

I don't have any specific re your device, but I have a Galaxy Tab E that did the same thing. Why yours is doing that may be the same reason the Tab E is. At about 11/21/17 the builds for the E quit booting, stuck at animation. You * might * try an older build, if that works, I'd say it's the same problem.
good luck.

I don't have this device but, your best bet is to post this question within the following Official LineageOS thread for your device. Even though it states "Discontinued" on the title, you should be able to obtain some member guidance within it.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3545692
If all else fails, and you don't receive any responses from the above thread, you can always try to obtain some member guidance within the following Q&A thread that's specific to your device.

S9 recurrent Rooting Problem - Screen o Death/Deep Sleep.

Brief :
Hello everyone,
I recently was asked by a friend to root his Samsung SM-G960F. I made sure to make a complete backup using ADB bridge and several other backup apps, in case anything happened.
I started using this tutorial :
Theandroidsoul - Samsung Galaxy S9 Root - (I'm sadly unable to post normal links because I'm a new user).
but due to certain unclarities, I was forced to follow another tutorial.
I ended up rooting using this method, following the instructions on this youtube video that seemed pretty straightforward and clear to me :
Waqar Khan - Video : watch?v=CfS0sEsAAtg
To resume it goes as follows :
1) - Installing TWRP :
- Toggling OEM Unlock and USB Debugging options.
- Using Odin.
- Flashing TWRP.
- Allowing modification on the system partition on TWRP.
- Wiping the data using TWRP and clicking on recovery afterwards..
- Flashing dm-verity and force encryption disabler zips.
---> TWRP fully functional.
2) - Rooting of the device :
- Flashing the N960F_Root_for_OEM_issue-devices from the SD card.
- Selecting "Patching the OEM and rooting with SuperSU".
DONE.
Note : It didn't contain anything about "Magisk" and according to the androidsoul website, I should've probably not allowed the System partition modification.
Problem :
The phone experiences now every now and then the Screen of Death/Deep Sleep : It gets blocked on the lock screen while it's partially showing it but stays unresponsive and I'm forced to hard reboot the phone faced with the apprehension and incomprehension of my friend.
I looked on the internet and the problem seems to be pretty recurrent. Many users are also experiencing this problem and like myself have no idea what to do. Some propose to install SOD-Killer to temporarily solve the issue. Some propose installing a custom ROM like elementalx without providing any further details on its compatibility with the root already installed above. Now even with SOD Killer, if the phone isn't charging at night, it gets discharged fast, and sometimes turned off by itself.
What are my options now ? How to repair this root, or undo that altogether ?
I read somewhere it might be because of KNOX not being completely/correctly disabled. Something must be triggering the SOD right ?
Is there an actual solution to this problem or should I go to stock ROM somehow ? Some users still experience this problem even if they rolled back to stock firmware. How to correctly unroot ? Can I unroot using my ADB backup or does it not include the partition system ?
I would be endlessly grateful if anyone could give me some of his time and help me solve this delicate situation.
Thank you very much for your help.

Dear God, I just noticed that. I just followed the tutorial on theandroidsoul . com/ samsung-galaxy-s9-root / Would you please be so kind and help me fix it ? I really don't know what to do next. Then never offer to do this for a friend ever again.
Thanks to all of you for your propositions. I will try to do like you said and get back to a stock ROM. I will indeed avoid to ever root for someone else again. This is too big a responsibility for me to take.

Samsung j2 Prime (sm-g532m) - how do I get LineageOS on this device?

I'm not completely brand new to flashing with custom roms, but I sometimes go 2-3 years running stock, so when I do come back I have forgotten everything and it feels like starting over.
So far I have achieved the following:
1 - backed up device
2 - reset device back to stock
3 - flashed stock image using Heimdall
Unfortunately after all that I am not sure if I have made any progress. It just took my phone back to factory settings.. My storage is full, my SDCard is empty and I can't push a file to the sdcard because I don't know how to reference the right path.
I tried flashing a TWRP recovery.img file to the recovery partition, and it indicated success. But when I boot into recovery it looks exactly like it did before. I get no TWRP gui interface. The TWRP app has no official build for this device, so is unusable. I also tried installing Magisk but got errors and just uninstalled it.
Frankly I don't know what to do yet. I'm not sure the device is officially 'rooted' or not. I'm not sure what to do next. Do I flash an Enigma Android 6 image? Do I have to do that before I can update to Android 9?

Yes, that's where I got my twrp recovery.img file from. I'll go back through those steps and ask in the thread if I have further issues. Thanks.
Typically there is a reboot into system after flashing twrp. Some stock ROM replace twrp with stock recovery in that case.
Known workarounds:
Flash twrp to boot partition also
Remove battery after flashing twrp
Use windows Odin and unchecked reboot
Do some key tricks to force recovery during reboot.
Once twrp booted, it normally does tricks to not get overwritten.

OK, bad jokes about Nordic deities aside. Try using ODIN rather than Heimdall to flash TWRP. In ODIN, make sure the automatic reboot on exit feature is turned OFF. After exiting ODIN, MANUALLY reboot the thing into recovery mode using whatever multiple button combination is required, and you "should" find it starting up TWRP for you. ASSUMING that is so, then power off the device and re-start it. it "should" now be working correctly, meaning with whatever ROM you have in place and TWRP as the recovery. And if THAT worked, you can flash SU using TWRP if you are not already rooted and you are good to go. Good Luck.
I now have managed to finally get TWRP flashed. It worked this time. Could not begin to tell you what I did differently...
I managed to flash the custom ROM and am now dealing with two remaining issues - a password I am being asked for that I never set, and getting the right version of opengapps flashed.

FYI - the only version of Odin I could find for Linux is a glitchy Java version. All the tutorials say to put things in the 'AP Slot' - and I can clearly see that in screenshots. But my version didn't have an AP slot. The graphics were misaligned and I finally gave up. I did manage to flash a ROM using ADB sideload. So there's that.

Yeah, Odin can be more than a little bit "glitchy" on Linux boxes. Surprised you found one that worked at all, to be totally candid. I suggest to folks that they just beg, borrow, or steal 15 minutes on a Windows box and do it the easy way. Yes, I know "windows" is a very long "four letter word" in many circles, but sometimes you just bite the bullet and take the path of least resistance. The IMPORTANT question is: is your problem solved ??

Good question. Do I have LineageOS on my device? Yes.
Is it a usable version? Uh, no. My device is now reporting to be a Galaxy J7 and the WiFi is useless. This was from an Enigma ROM. So at least I have managed to figure out how to flash the device and TWRP recovery is working. Now to find a better ROM.
I guess the question I have now is this: *IS THERE* an actual, working Android 9 PIE ROM for the J2 Prime (Grand Prime+) model?

Hui. Quick search in XDA shows: there is probably no aosp based ROM for your device. So you flashed a ROM for a different device? You should learn a bit about model names and codenames. And be glad to not have bricked your phone.

Well, it's from here on XDA, and it was advertised as being ported for my model specifically. Just surprised to see the other model info in 'About' - I agree that Pie seems to be non-existent for this phone. What about Oreo? So far every single article I find on the 'net is just click-bait.
Sometimes it is better to stay on stock ROM. With twrp you can install magisk or xposed or nanodroid.

managed to make root work but a problem appeared:unable to use samsung account, unable to use any other type of lock screen type except swipe, andafter i instaled youtube vanced using magisk repozitory the phone entered again in the lock screen loop.i think its something about the kernel i used(elementalX 2.08) or the no verity version using 1.0.
I will look trough the forum for other versions and i will try to flash them.i will also try to flash a new rom, maybe thats the problem.

The ROM is probably the problem for you. Because now knox is tripped for you many samsung and other services dont work anymore for you on pure vanilla stock. If you like oneUI maybe try out a few roms, they are better than stock. There is also a growing AOSP ROM community, there is a group on telegram you should check out.

none of the issues detailed in this thread make any sense. If a g965f is bootlooping after an attempt at rooting it, whatever was done in that attempt obviously failed and nothing in this thread really explains why, which mostly seems to be due to the lack of info from the OP and who all has participated thus far. We have no idea what baseband the OP is on, what version of TWRP they used, what version of Odin. We are lucky to know its a 965f so far...

a great deal of the devs that make the android community great all hang out here and share their contributions first on here, but you will find that certain phones on this site get far more attention than others, and the S9 area is a sad sad shell of what xda used to be. The reason im replying to your post at all is because xda is not the only place one can go to get good info on phones, but it is a reasonable place to put your trust if youre unfamiliar with the myriad of other sites specifically devoted to android and the users that avoid XDA for one reason or another. Try talking about any pay services on here or anything to do with "software of the illegitimate variety"

Can anyone flash twrp into S9 Android 10 (Snapdragon)?

My phone is a japanese variant, Docomo. Now the latest version is oneUI 2.1. I have tried to flash both twrp 3.5.0 and twrp 3.4.0 into the phone. Then I formatted the data and succeeded. However, if I restarted the system, it was stuck in the warning page all the time and can't enter into the homepage.
I have only seen several ways to flash twrp based on oneUI 2.5. Can anyone help me? Very appreciate.
Still waiting for you
Maybe you need to flash a custom rom or so
It may be possible to force installation in download mode with the warning page displayed. Roms can be found quite a few different places. If something is not working properly, please do a factory reset.

I've tried several times, but all failed.
Docomo's device is a malicious creation of a Japanese original. What appears to be a working custom ROM was mainly in China. But a closed place. I was tormented by the few that even worked on my DOOCMO S8.
I will try to find a way to do this for Galaxy 9.
