I have disassembled my qtek S200. I managed to assemble everything except this small elastic part that I cannot find where it fits. I think it was close to or have a relationship with the stylus. Every answer is appreciated.
See the attached pictures. If I remember correctly, this rubbery thing is covering the element which is designated as "MIC 1" on the first picture (look at the bottom left of the photo). You can also get a goot look at it on the second picture. There the same element can be seen at the right end of the photo. On both pictures the element is uncovered.
In this topic you can find a link to the service manual for the prophet:

I have also found this direct link to the same document with Google:
http://mikechannon.net/PDF Manuals/HTC Prophet Service Manual.pdf
There is plenty of very useful info there, even if this exact question is not answered
Thanks for the info, I am going to check soon.
Thanks for the link for the service manual as well. I had it already and from what I saw your point that this question is not answered is valid.
Thanks once more for the info. I have just checked and it seems that this is the place for this part. The component that it covers has a tiny hole(probably an oscillator?) and I suppose that it is there to protect the component from dust and other tiny particles from entering.
You may well be correct, I have not investigated thiss fully. However it is typical of HTC devices to have a rubber cover over the microphone to dampen extraneous sound and knocking. Worth checking.

Mistakes were made, pockets had holes in them, phones were dropped. Now that I've gotten over the original shock of dropping my glide, I'm reviewing my options. I think i want to just replace the glass myself, but i can't find the part. I've seen a few places selling the whole screen assembly, but from what i can tell, my actual screen under the glass is fine. Does anyone know if i can get -just- the glass? or is the screen and the glass glued together or something?
edit: oh god, a thousand apologies. really didn't mean to post this in this section, could a mod please move? i cant seem to find the delete button.
According to this video

I dont think the glass can be changed without the screen.
This does not belong in the Development Section and I am wondering why no one hit the report button....
Thread Moved & Thank You.
Does anyone know if one can customize the screen that's visible when using the SView cover?
Apologize if this is duplicate....Although my search didn't reveal anything so I don't think it is.
Thanks for any info.
Basically the plastic piece that covers the lense came off and some dust got in.
Now i see little black smudges when im trying to take pictures. Is there a way to put it back on and fix these smudges?
Thanks guys
