Wifi Problems!

Hey there, I brought my htc one x on contract with 3 at the start of august, the first one had a problem with the battery and had to wait to have a new one in white but eventually, I recieved one that worked. It had been great till a few weeks ago where my wi-fi has been poorer than before, everything else was fine though including my computer and few other things but my one x suddenly buffers every youtube video which take a while to load and keep pausing, the wifi disconnects every now and then but the internet along with twitter and facebook you can't always tell but it defiantly is poor at times. The Wi-fi icon at the top is full at times even when it isn't connecting well to the wifi and then always goes up and down. Always random. I tried the squeeze test which has once or twice improved it but nothing is effected by it usually, even when i downloaded the wifi analyser app, at first i squeezed it and it shot up but since then even if it says the signal is good, it still isn't. It's the youtube that is the worse, but I don't think it is just that as the wifi disconnects and goes up and down at times and just poor compared to before. Do i have this same problem though? The squeeze dosen't always work and what shall i do? Go back to the 3 store?
Really was a good phone till this problem popped up.

[Q] HTC One X - WiFi drops every now and then? (Phone passes squeeze test)

So there is this one thing that have nagged me in the back of my head with my HTC One X, and it's that the WiFi sometimes (rarely) drops for a few seconds and then reconnects (at full strength), it seems random, happens both in use and when not using it, as in I unlock the phone and it's not connected to the WiFi, 3G connectivity seems to work just fine when this happens, it appears to be a WiFi only thing.
Now I'm sure this is NOT the WiFi hardware fault, the squeeze test does not make my WiFi signal die, and my brother also bought the very same phone, just another color, and it behaves similar in WiFi performance, and it too have no issue with the squeeze test, however, as my brother rarely use WiFi or browse with the phone, I haven't been able to get an answer if his phone behaves like mine does every now and then.
My router is a Netgear WNDR3700, running on Ch 11 (no one else on the channel), and other equipment such as laptops have no issues with it, so I'm wondering if this is software issue or what not, the phone is currently running stock HTC 4.0.4.
What could create this issue I wonder? I'm thinking of setting my routers beacon interval to 1000, it seems to save battery according to some threads, but I can't seem to think this is relevant here.
I have the same issue with my HTC One X+. In fact, I found this topic because I was seeing whether it was an issue (I hope it's not...).
The issue seems random, but now and then I turn on my phone screen to have no signal and then it reconnects. Not the WiFi bug and not a dodgy signal as it's strong.

Im now onto my 3rd white HOX for my wife (my grey one has been perfect!) and the second one suffered really back from wifi drops, the squeze test afaik doesnt drop the signal but make it better???? If I squeze mine it shoots up to full and when I release it, it drops back down really low. If yours and your brothers are the same maybe try another channel
I think this may be the issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1708492

[Q] WiFi Issues

Hello,
Basically, for the last couple of weeks my wifi on my HOX is seriously slow, and disconnects and reconnects continually (meaning it simply isn't possible to use the internet). This is particularly problematic as I live in a fairly rural part of the UK, and struggle to get mobile data inside my house. The little wifi icon disappears then reappears at the top of the phone.
I do have the issue where you press in between the camera and volume rocker to increase wifi signal, but this has always been the case - it has only just started not actually working properly. My HP Touchpad works perfectly fine. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas of how to fix this, as it is clearly problematic as it voids most apps that I use regularly (Tapatalk, Facebook, Engadget etc). I can often refresh a page if I am lucky, however this success never lasts.
I am using Viper X 3.7.5 - however the issue started midway through using Viper X 3.7.4 (it isn't the ROM though, as it worked perfectly fine when I first installed it).
Any ideas what to do here? Will obviously thank anyone who helps

Wifi Problems

Hi folks, I was curious if anyone here is experiencing any wifi issues. I see it both at work and home. At work, it drops often. Could be the access points but my other devices work ok. Nexus 5X Moto X Pure etc.
At home what is more frustrating is I will be watching something on YouTube or Netflix and then all of the sudden it stops playing the video. I can toggle wifi off and on but that only helps for a short period of time and then it happens again. I am still within my 14 day window and have had other Samsung devices have similar issues. Am I alone with this? Or do I swap it out and pick a different device? Though truth be told, don't know what what would be.
Thanks!

Does Oreo update fix all these issues ?

I got the phone on launch day from Three store. I've already had 3 replacements in store and got a 4th one RMA'd from Razer.
Dont know if its worth waiting for this update. Some people say its fixed most issues some say it hasn't.
Currently i get that auto screen dimming when gaming or on a app for like 5 minutes or so. Very frustrating since the screen is not so bright anyway and it goes down so much, I literally cannot see the screen content when I am outside.
On top of that I have this Bluetooth issue when I connect to a device, either car stereo or any device literally.. It connects and says its connected/paired successfully but when I play something, it plays from the phone speakers.
The only fix to this is I need to go back and delete the paired connection. go to app settings and delete Bluetooth share and Bluetooth midi service app data, restart phone, pair again.
If these two things are not fixed. I've got no more patience left, I'm just going to sell the phone.
Great idea of a phone it is with the loud speakers and 120Hz screen but software has been the worst I've used on a phone by far.
Any info from you guys regarding all this ?
The screen dimming while gaming issue happened to me once, but I was just covering the light sensor with my finger, so I just fliped the phone and never happened again
Well, sincerely I have been with this device for 1 day, I will see if it brings problems, although for now I have not found an anomaly.

I haven't had those problems, but clicking the down arrow on the mobile data quick settings crashes, every so often my phone freezes and reboots (though less than Nougat), and there's the multitouch bug which gets fixed in the May security patch (which as far as i know is not out yet).

The Bluetooth problem may be a problem with your cars radio and not the phone. I have a 2012 Scion TC and and tried connecting my Razer Phone, HTC 10 and an iPhone 8 and they all had similar connectivity issues where audio was just being routed through the phone.

The issue itself is nothing to do with covering the light sensor. I've read on here and on Razer Insider forum that it is heat/power related and that lowers the screen brightness because it consumes too much power. A lot of people get this problem and a lot dont know about it too.

Its not my car radio. I've tried on 3 different car radio's and a Bluetooth portable speaker, I get this problem with literally every device i connect to. I still have not had a fix or a solution. Only thing Razer suggests every time is a factory reset which did not change anything.
This thing on max settings according to Ampere is pulling nearly 1.5amps from the battery with brightness at full and all settings maxed
