Tips for thin but firm grip case. - Google Pixel 2 XL Accessories

I am trying to find a slim case for my 2xl that does not feel like its going to slip directly out of my hand.
I recently picked-up the Google fabric case and it still feels like its going to slip out.
Can anyone recommend a slim case that does not feel slippery?
I was thinking of the following and let me know anyones thoughts that have had it: RhinoShield Crash Bumper or the Spigen thin fit.

I have the Dbrand Grip, another bumper case, and it's...well, grippy.
I've had two.
The first wore down really quickly.
I got sent a brand new shipment by mistake (and they let me keep it) and this one seems to be more durable.
I've had it longer and it's not nearly as worn.

The top, not feel slippery

I got the Maxxessory Ultra-thin black case from amazon for $8. I love it. Crazy thin, matte finish - so it's a little grippy. Can't beat the price.... and the phone feels almost naked while having some protection.

a slim not slippery case ?

is there any good slim cases and not slippery back for galaxy note ?
dont want bulky but still want some protection ..
I have the elago G4 Slim Fit Case on my note atm, and I'm liking it so far. Not much in the way of protection, but it isn't slippery and the note + case still fits in my pockets.
One thing I would say though...it's a pain in the ^$#%#$% to get off once you get it on.

I use this very slim case that ONLY offers scratch protection. Very good to hold and has a matte finish so no finger prints.
Have a look at my review thread,

Slim, form fitting "case".
I like both the Incipio Feather UltraLight Hard Case (although it might snap/break as some have mentioned) and the Diztronic High Gloss Translucent Grey.
The Diztronic High Gloss is great, because it slides out of where ever you have it, mine is usually in my pocket and it doesn't pick up link. It's rather sticky and grippy, in a good way, doesn't feel like it will slip out of you hands or lose grip of the phone. It's very slim, so the phones slender sexy lines are kept and it shows through the semi see through material.
Both are very minimalist, the TPU protects slightly more, since it's a tad thicker, bouncy and raises above the screen face some.
That's IHMO, YMMV.

+1 for elago slim... I had a 4ft drop the other day with it on, and my note came out scratch free because it landed right on the corner of the case (whew).... using the elag + sgp protector and liking the setup so far.

I just ordered this one:

I will let you know how I like it when I get it next week. The Speck Fitted cases my wife has used on her iPhone 4 and 4s have been very durable and given great protection.

PureGear GripTek case

I first had the Seidio Surface case with kickstand and while I liked the case the kickstand was worthless in portrait mode, it was also a bit slippery to hold. Next I bought the SupCase and it does provide more protection than the Surface without adding too much bulk. The edges were a bit sharp but had started to wear down and the case provides more grip then the Surface & has a dimple. A downfall of this case is trying to type while the phone is on a desk/table as it slides around.
So I recently purchased the PureGear GripTek case in green. This case is not bulky but provides great grip due to the multitude of grooves in the sides and back of the case. The lip around the screen protects it if placed face down but thin enough that it doesn't interfere with swiping. The buttons have a good feeling to them and the bumpers on the corners will provide more impact protection without being obtrusive. The case slides very easily in/out of my pocket as well. Overall it's hands down the best case I've owned or seen. I plan on taking a Dremel with a round stone and carefully making a small dimple myself in the case, shouldn't be very hard to do and will make the grip even better.
I do wish that PureGear offered more color choices, I would like to see a darker blue & red along with other options. I bought the case from www.WirelessGround.com for $14 shipped with an online free shipping coupon.

I kinda like this. Is it pretty much a TPU case with softer/more rubbery corners?

Yes, the main material is not as gummy as Cruzerlite TPU cases I have had but it still flexible and easy to install. The added grip of the case is a big benefit with this case, I think I'm going to get a black one also.

amCase Ultra Slim-Fit Case Review + Pictures

amCase Ultra Slim-Fit Case
There has been a lot of slim cases like the Rearth Ringke slim, spigen and others. The amCASE ultra slim is a bit different than the others.
First, its thin alright. Fits well and not much wiggle room when in the case. The back has a nice soft matte grip finish, No corner was sharp but a nice smooth rounding on all sides/corners. There is some lift ont he bezel around the phone so it lifts the phone just a bit to prevent scraching the glass on the front when setting it face down on a table.
The amCase differes in that there is no bezel by the buttons on the phone. While it makes it have even less protection than other slim cases; it makes it a lot easier to take it off and on. The Rearth slim I have has just a good fit but the buttons would always get caught when taking it off or on.
It doesn't add much protection on the bottom or sides which is nice to have complete free access to all the ports/seakers.
This is definitely not a case if you're clumsy with your phone but there to prevent the small drops or scratches. Very minimalistic and good construction witht he added bonus of the easiest to take on and off of the phone than other slim cases
This is my kind of case. I presently have the rearth slim. It's the only case for me, so far. This looks like a great option for those of us who like the more professional look vs the bling, bulky, rubber, two piece, colored type cases. I'll have to try one. Is the logo (boo hiss btw) raised or etched in any way or is it just printed?

almost bought this case, but reviewers had issues with the matte finish coming off after a week.
Please update your review after couple weeks on the fit and finish.
thanks

just printed on. I'm sure it'll start rubbing off soon enough
I only used the amcase on my nexus 4. The first one I had was amazing. The second started peeling almost immediately.
I just received my new one for the nexus 5. It has a slippery soft feel that is really disappointing.

This guy has a video review of it and shows the case peeling pretty badly at all 4 corners.

Thin and Grippy Case

I'm thinking about ordering a OnePlus One today and need advice on a case. I rarely buy cases for protection but more so for grip, but the added protection would be a welcome advantage. I've read so many reviews and forums here that my mind is mush. I want a case that offers a tacky or grippy feel on both the back and the sides. So far I've yet to find that perfect combo and think I may have to settle for the Diztronic Ultra TPU Case. Can anybody elaborate on it's grip or another case that might be better? I have small hands and the OPO is going to be a stretch no matter what.
Try to see the orzly bumper fusion cover
It may not offer enough protection for you, but check out the pelosi case. Has a similar sandstone grip as the back of the phone.

Protective Case

I always rock an Otterbox Commuter case on my phones mainly for work conditions can get rough at times. From what I've seen, Otterbox is only offering their Defender series (too big and bulky) and their Symmetry series (thinner, one piece case). I've decided to go with the Symmetry series and I'm pleasantly surprised. It definitely adds a little bit of bulk, but not as much as the Commuter, while offering great all-around protection. The one piece design is easy to put on and remove (unlike previous Symmetry cases I've tried on other phones). I do wish that there was a bit of grip on the sides like the Speck Presidio series cases, but I like the design. Unfortunately the only options were clear, pink, or black.... so I went with black.
So what's your choice for a protective case? Share pics and comments.
I too normally use the Otterbox defender for my phones but I wanted to try something new. I bought a poetic revolution for myself and a supcase unicorn beetle pro for my wife. They appeared a little slimmer and had port covers which I wanted. Amazon says they will arrive tomorrow so I shall see.

I had the unicorn beetle pro for my Nexus 6 and it's a nice cheaper alternative to the defender, but it still adds more bulk than the commuter case. I may look into the poetic case though. Let me know how they work out for you. ?
I went to Best Buy and tried out the Defender case. Definitely too bulky and I hate the built in screen protector (and it doesn't sit well over a glass screen protector, even if you take out the built in one).
You may not like the poetic as it has the built in screen protector. I'm used to the bulk of the defender so I'm not a great judge of the size. I will tell you the poetic is smaller then the supcase unicorn beetle. Built in port covers are nice too, overall it is a smaller rugged case you can say.
just received the Poetic Karbon Shield Slim Fit Case With Anti-Slip Side Grip and Carbon Fiber Texture. it's a slimmer-fit case that offers (what i believe is) more protection than a thin TPU case. sharing pictures for those interested to know how it fits the G6. i also have tempered glass screen protector on the phone as well. you'll also notice in the first pic that wireless charing works with the case on the phone. i usually go with a much thinner case but i really like the look and feel of this one. will give it a week or so before i decide if it's a keeper. (please excuse the dust in the pictures - our HVAC ducts were being cleaned when i took these pictures).
Went from a Note 3 with Otterbox Commuter to a G6 with Spigen "Tough Armor" case, and am satisfied with it. Feels like it provides just as much protection as the Otterbox Commuter, yet not adding quite as much bulk. I'm kinda rough with my phones sometimes, and I'd have peace of mind if I were to accidentally drop my G6 from waist-height or so.
If you choose to go with Spigen, definitely buy it off Amazon, rather than directly from Spigen's website; it's cheaper off Amazon.

I almost went with this case but I got this one instead. It's the Caseology.
This Poetic has been great for me after a few days of use. Lightweight, decent protection, and good grip.

I wanted to order Poetic but they don't ship to EU and i get Ringke Fusion but still waiting for the phone.

I just ordered this one on Amazon. Saw the office and couldn't pass it up. Glad to see it looks good, and works well with a glass protector. I got the Spigen glass 2 pack as I've always liked everything Spigen makes.
Was gonna get the unicorn beetle that I had for my s7e, but don't think I need that much protection on this one, plus no edge screens that I need to prevent my palm from hitting lol.
Update: I hate the Karbon case. Doesn't fit tightly and leaves gaps at the edges on the front. I guess for $8 it'll hold me over until I get a good case, but this one is not staying pass this weekend.

I would go for the Spigen Rugged Amor, it’s much slimmer and provide pretty much the same protection as the symmerty series http://www.the-reviewr.com/best-lg-g6-case/
Had that rugged armor for my v20 and loved it. Decided to go with the neo hybrid for the g6

Do you have pics of what it looks like on your phone?
Thanks!
So guys I'm searching for a good protective case that doesn't add too much bulk. I'm torn between the Poetic Revolution and the Supcase Unicorn Beetle. I like the way the Poetic looks except for the cutout on back, I prefer the Unicorns Cutouts. If anyone here has any pics to share, that be awesome. Or unless someone has another case to throw in the mix. THanks
