Hi there,
I've made a magisk module to fix the round corner for our Mix2s with AOSP PIE based ROM.
How to install:
Just search
Code:
RoundcornerFix
in magisk.
Install before you have read the details of the module.
Before: https://photos.app.goo.gl/nvE2GSFEWJNQPcKX7
After: https://photos.app.goo.gl/xe4q6BND389Dq8848
Warning:
You should NOT install this module in MIUI or LOS based ROM.
And I don't think it works on Oreo
Report:

Thanks!! How come this wouldn't work on a LOS 16 rom?
can you make it work for chiron Mix 2 too?

It works with bgcngm LOS build.

Top corners are "hardware corner", screen have round cut.
Bottom corners are "software corner", screen isn't cut (rectangular) but touch screen is round.

I don't know if I'd say it works just because it installed and didn't bootloop... I had the same success, but the bottom corners still appear as if the module wasn't even installed.
Not work for me with official Pixel Experience. I installed dedicated polaris and no check model version, down corners still not rounded.
Ok, I know why now - corners will not rounded if we hide navigation bar. Is it possibile to fix this?
Thanks for the module. It works well on my Mix2s.
But the problem is, it won't work if the navigation bar is hided. Any solutions? Thank you.

If you use this Magisk Module the rounded corners mod works without the navigation buttons:
https://github.com/AndroPlus-org/magisk-module-hide-navbar
I was having the same issue hiding the navbar with OnePlus Gestures, but the module above fixed it.

Thanks much! This fixed it for me. Also, if you are using fluid navigation gestures, make sure to disable the navigation bar hide option for this magisk module to work correctly.
All most AOSP based room fixed it. This is no longer needed.
Yeah, it's fixed unless you disable navigation bar and use something like Fluid Navigation Gestures.
I'd like to see github repo ressurected :-/

I have done some basic mods for the Pixel that have been well received, and @StickyEyez requested I do it for the Pixel XL as well. You can see my original post here https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel/themes/mod-navbar-tuner-additional-qa-tile-rows-t3522314
**I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES TO YOUR DEVICE. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK**
**v1.0 2017.01.05**
This mod is based on the NMF26V update, but it should work on NMF26U as well. It may work on older versions, but I have no information regarding this. If you want to test on other versions, you should back up your original /system/framework/framework-res.apk and system/priv-app/SystemUIGoogle/SystemUIGoogle.apk
NMF26# increased the NavBar height to a ridiculous 48dpi, so I have added 4dpi step-downs to 32dpi.
I've also made changes to make the Statusbar slightly smaller at 20dpi (original is 24dpi).
Only install one of each mod at a time. The NavBar/Statusbar mode impacts framework-res.apk and System UI mods impact SystemUIGoogle.apk, so if you select multiple it'll just install the last one you selected.
The mods that can be applied are:
NavBar/StatusBar dpi
0dpi/0dpi
0dpi/20dpi
0dpi/24dpi
32dpi/24dpi
32dpi/20dpi
36dpi/24dpi
36dpi/20dpi
40dpi/24dpi
40dpi/20dpi
44dpi/24dpi
44dpi/20dpi
48dpi/20dpi
SystemUI Mods
NavBarUI Manager + Brightness
NavBarUI Manager + Brightness + 4 QS Tiles
NavBarUI Manager + Brightness + 4 QS Tiles + Battery Mod
Return to Stock
framework-res.apk
SystemUIGoogle.apk
Note, the 0dpi/0dpi mod is actually 0dpi/1dpi because if you set the statusbar to 0dpi you cannot pull it down while in apps. If applied to a standard setup, you will find that the tops of the clock show in the statusbar, and will not look good. But if you use a different launcher, I have been told this is not noticeable.
You can download the mod here Stranula_Full_Flash_v1.zip
To install you will need to have TWRP installed, then simply install the zip and follow the on screen menus.

**UPDATE**
I am about to be on a plane for the rest of the day, so I've updated the original post. @Cbass15 has reported the installer and mods to be working, so hopefully it is good to go. He is also going to be putting up some screenshots soon.
Here is just a couple of screenshots...
The first picture is a picture of the 4QT, along with brightness adjuster removed and battery percent enabled
The picture with a Nav bar is 32/24
The picture without a Nav Bar is 0/20
Want to see anymore screenshots before you flash? Let me know,I'll hook you up with one. :good:
Any chance of adding the center clock mod?
I don't see much point in removing the brightness slider as it does not shrink the area it was in. Unless you literally don't want to accidentally touch it.

If you don't want to disable the brightness bar, then don't disable it. It is an option in the UI Tuner. You can toggle it easily.

Yeah, it's a toggle. I just find it unfortunate that it doesn't really shrink down.
Thanks for this package, BTW. I just did this manually myself yesterday because nobody had anything that would allow for the navbar tuner in 7.1.1...

Unfortunately, not from me. I don't have the time to invest in modding. I just happen to be on vacation and had some spare time to do this.
I've been waiting to root and install TWRP until we get xposed framework because I want to hide the nav bar and enable pie controls. I see with this mod that I can hide the nav bar. Are there any good apps or installs for pie control like the GravityBox module with Xposed? I would love something that works similar to the pie controls in GravityBox. I've tried stuff like LMT but it doesn't appear to be as smooth.

Dude u champ! This is what I've been looking for. The navbar is way too big at stock. I keep bumping it when typing too.
Any chance u can make it even smaller?

If you don't want the nav bar at all, you will need something like pie controls or something similar.
Hi to all!
I'm experiencing a really strange thing when try to set an HOME gesture with some of most famous apps for that purpose, like ALL IN ONE GESTURES, EDGE GESTURES and similar.
If I set recent apps and back gesture, they work in every way I set them...but if I try to set ANY KIND of gesture for returning to home... nothing happens.
The command work properly (I feel the haptic vibration, or alinz, that starts when a command is performed), but the gesture won't work in the end...
Anyone noticed that too? Maybe there's something I missed for make them work?
I use swipe up from bottom border and it works for me. I use aio.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk
I didn't find the cause yet but it is also happening to me. If I reboot the phone the home gesture starts to work fine, it only breaks if I re-enabled the nav bar + disable immersive mode using their quick tiles provided by joneplustools and systemuituner. The easiest solution is to reboot the phone.
Well but are you rooted?
Because I can disable navbar but on home screen it'll be always there, so I can't use bottom gestures, only edge...

Right now I'm rooted, yes.
Without root the navbar always shows if you swipe from the bottom. You could try a 0px navbar by I think it doesn't work in OOS at the moment.

I already have the 0pt navbar and used successfully on S8 but with OnePlus it just don't works, I suppose because the navbar is named "drawable" in OnePlus internals while in APK it's "navbar", at least I've read it on multiple sources...

Yeah that must be the reason.
If you don't want to root right now your solution is to use a gesture app like edge gestures or swipe navigation because you can use gestures from the right/left edge so you activate the navbar less often.
It's not ideal but is has one advantage; for example when I want to close a game using the back button, the gesture sometimes is not recognized and I have to activate the navbar using the quick setting and that sometimes breaks the home gesture like we discussed yesterday so I have to reboot the phone sometimes. You only have to swipe from the bottom and it's all fine.

According to my experience this kind of problem is most likely caused by a third party app, possibly an xposed module or some half baked apk. Privately exchange a list of your installed apps, compare and concentrate on the more dubious apps you have in common and you may find your culprit there.

Well I don't have any X module since I'm not rooted, apps installed I don't know but I doubt it because are the same apps that was in S8 before, so I don't think that an app can interfere with the 0pt navbar functions...

Yeah that's the main gripe. I suppose you are concerned about burn-in.
I don't know if stock OOS Oreo will fix that. Maybe some Dev can mod the navbar file as I was done with the old filetype as in the Galaxy S8.
I also can tell you that on LiquidRemix 8.0 ( it's on a Telegram group as is in testing stage ) you could hide the navbar completely without root but I understand that you don't want to change the rom and right now is has bugs so is better to stay in Oxygen.
Right now I'm using stock OOS 4.7.4 with root and to update is super easy, just download and flash the full zip, flash your kernel + magisk/superSu after and it's done.
I don't know if you care about Android Pay...

I can tell you that on a fresh installed OOS 4.7.4 without third party apps it doesn't work. The problem is that on Oxygen the navbar has another name in system so that mod doesn't work.
No I don't care about it because there's no need for it now, at least for me.
I've always rooted phones, no problems with that, it's just that I don't feel the need to do it with 5T since is nearly stock and good to run stock "as is"...
I'm on OOS 5.1.1 and I like navigation bar hide feature on it (toggle button on the left side)
I want to try other custom roms but they don't seem to have that feature.
(Not an Expanded Desktop. It's very uncomfortable to use)
Is there any other rom with navigation bar hide feature?
EDIT: I don't want to use any root/magisk/xposed module.

I hope rom supports hide feature, don't want my device stay rooted or use xposed.
For now I use 'Granular Immersive' app. It is flexible in that one can configure to hide navigation by app.
But I would prefer if it had ways to configure such in bulk. Nevertheless it works fine for me.

Hi can you provide link, please
I’ve tried several custom rom and none of the them has oxygen os gesture navigation.
It’s a shame.
They provide other gesture navigation system but much less reliable and user friendly and using the button navigation bar area for some gesture but with this method you are loosing real estate from the screen(it’s like you are having invisible navigation bar button)
Oxygen os gesture navigation is superior to all crap solution custom rom offer.

Most custom AOSP roms have the Disable Navigation Bar quick setting tile. I'm using OmniROM, arguably the best custom firmware for the 5T.
You can get the best OnePlus gestures replacement app ever, right here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ivianuu.oneplusgestures
I've used for years navigation gesture apps like GMD gestures and All in One Gestures. They're much more customizable than the OOS gesture navigation and they work well in custom roms. OOS tends to kill background services in itself unless the app/service is converted as an system app. You need root but it doesn't trigger safety net and my banking apps work as well.

I like Omnirom but Disable Navigation Bar quick setting tile is very annoying.
Expanded Desktop that styles can be set style for all app, not per app and quick setting tile is much better, like in AOKP.

How is it very annoying? Once you toggle it, you don't really have to do it again unless you are troubleshooting something with the Gestures replacement.
Perhaps you're using it for a different purpose?
EDIT: Oh, I guess you just want it to come back whenever you swipe. You can add the Immersive Mode tile to Quick Settings in OmniROM using Tiles, a terrific app that adds additional tiles to QuickSettings.
I've enabled full screen gestures and I'm using Google keyboard with swipe.
Afkomst every time I start with the letter p, I'm using the back feature. Quite annoying.
Anyone experiencing the same and has a possible solution?

Look into LMT launcher then.
Unlike it's name it actually isn't a launcher but a very minimalistic open implementation of Pie controls.
It requires root to function properly but at least no Xposed is involved.

Thing is that I don't want the on screen buttons and I do want MIUI full screen gestures. I guess that's not possible, in MIUI it's one or the other. I'll have to live with that or use another launcher. Minor issue, since the phone is working excellent!
Yeah for that your only options at the moment are either to run the unofficial RR build with Arasthel's gestures baked in or Xposed plus Xposed Edge module.
The next best thing you could go for other than that would be XDA's gestures application, but that one simulates the gestures as found on the iPhone / OnePlus devices, so they work a bit differently (the back gesture works differently).
You can edit your buildprop to tell your phone you have hardware keys. It will then remove the navbar for you. You can then use edge gestures, Swipe navigation etc.

Easy if your are using magisk.
1.- Disable gestures.
2.- Install "Hide navigation bar" magisk module.
Best regards.
Or disable them via a adb setprop command without requiring root, etc.

GravityBox was running solid on Open Beta 2. I've updated to Open Beta 3 and when GravityBox is enabled the phone acts a bit unstable.
Both the status bar and nav bar will disappear and then it goes to the lockscreen. It's somewhat usable, but it continues to act that way until the module is disabled and the phone is rebooted.
Has anyone managed to get GravityBox to work well with Open Beta 3?

You are correct that Gravity Box needs xposed. Since it was no longer being maintained by its original developer and didn't support new android updates, it was unofficially ported in early 2019. The port is now called EdXposed and runs as a magisk module.

I haven't had any issues with the most recent version of Gravity Box on Android 10.
Not all the old xposed modules work nowadays though so you'd have to look up compatibility of particular ones but Gravity Box definitely works.
