Pixel 2 XL Notification Shade stuck on dark. - Google Pixel 2 XL Questions & Answers

I installed a program called Power Shade which is supposed to change the colors of the notification shade without root. I decided that I didn't like the program and uninstalled it. Now my Notification shade is dark even if the theme is auto or set for light. Everything else changes as it should. I've tried to reinstall the program tried to clear cache and clear data for the program. Have rebooted several times. Would hate to reset the phone over this.
This is a non-rooted 64GB phone stock running 9 (Pie) with the November update.

Never mind. Just found out the Android Messages program dark mode overrides the theme. Turn off dark mode in messages and bang I have control again.

[Q] LED Notifications and Metamorph

So for starters, I'm running CM6.1. I'm having an issue where I get my LED notifications all working (i.e, green flash as default with all applications that are set to pulse the notification light, flashes even while charging and screen is on or off) by setting "Always pulse" in Cyanogen Settings. I then go to apply a theme through Metamorph and now my notifications flash orange, but only for Google apps like Talk and the stock messenger. I'm wondering if anybody else has had an issue with this, and if so, is there a fix? This is really annoying considering how long I've (and all of us really) waited for LED notifications to work properly on these AOSP roms.
For further info, I'm trying the flash the Nexus S theme featured here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=863110

google now in notification bar just disappeared

anyone else's google now in the notification bar just disappeared ie the weather card. didnt swipe it away or change any setting but it just disappeared as did time home.
there all showing in the app as normal , ive tried turning google now on and off. tried clearing app data and cache and still wont re appear in the notification bar.
any ideas?
FIXED
Turns out there was an update id not been notified about in play store once updated all back to normal
Mine still doesn't show anything after the update. I like to keep my weather info on the notification panel. Already did the off/on trick or clear data. Both my gnex and n7 are totally blank
Edit: after update the card setting was suddenly turned off from low priority. All fixed now

[Q] Notification light issues - can't tell what the notification is

Is there an app that will show me a list or log of apps that have triggered the home button notification light? Also, is there a list of what colors/flash patterns belong to which types of notifications? Rooting is not an option until my one year warranty is up and that's several months away.
Sometimes when I get a notification I'll go see what it is and clear it. The home button light stops flashing but then when Iput my phone to sleep the notification light will start blinking again. When I wake it up there's nothing in notifications and the home button stops blinking again but then it starts again when it goes to sleep. I've tried disabling different apps and have found what some of the notifications are but not all of them.
My wife and I use ICQ to chat since we've been on it so long and sometimes the phone tells me there's a new message when there's not. ICQ does a fast red flash on the home button so when I see it I have to open ICQ again and go to the chat a second time then back out all the way to clear it. That's not too bad because it's got a unique color and flash pattern so I know what it is.
Sometimes it's a blue light with a slower flash rate. I think that's for email but not sure since it's probably used by more than one app.
The one I can't figure out is a slow green flash. I've tried everything I can think of including force-closing every app and nothing makes it go away. Even rebooting doesn't fix it. It makes it impossible to tell if I actually have a notification unless the notification has a different color and flash pattern.
If there's an app or a way to see a notification history it would help me figure out why it's doing this.

Swipe down from the top of the screen to pull down notifications. The colors are usually set by each app in their respective notification settings. There's apps on the play store that can also help set colors but I think you need root. It's not hard to root and unroot though just don't unlock the bootloader.

Yeah, that's what I explained in my post. When I unlock my phone the home button LED turns off and when I swipe down to see notifications there are none, but as soon as I lock my phone it starts blinking again.
I just went through most of my apps and most have no options at all for the notify light. The only one that does is Facebook but the only option is for on/off and no option for the color. ICQ, GMail, and Outlook.com only lets me choose sound and vibrate. I don't think I've ever seen an app with options to select the color of the home button LED.

OnePlus 3 alert slider is unreliable

I have a OnePlus 3 with OxygenOS 3.2.6. If I set the alert slider to "priority" mode I will see the little circle with the line through and it will behave correctly for awhile. But all of a sudden I will hear notifications, unlock my phone and see the circle is missing. If I push the slider back to the bottom and then up to the middle again the circle comes back and it works again for awhile. I have asked other folks I know who have OP3s and they have seen similar.
As a note, this also happened on my OnePlus 2.
It also happens on my OnePlus 3 with CM13.
I don't know what triggers it to change the notification mode. Maybe some app has permissions to do so? I am not sure.

[Q] notifications completely black

Not sure what happened, but after a reboot all my notifications from the drop down menu are completely black. Snapchat, texts, anything. They have a solid black background when I drag the notification bar down and I can't read it. The only way I can is if my background is white, but it's still difficult. Im running Viper Room, latest update. Any idea how to change this? I've tried changing the theme but that didn't do anything
