Hi people! Recently bought a RN5Pro. Don't want to root it right away. In the mean time, what are all the apps, mods etc. I can use on non-rooted device?

Hi all,
I recently got a Motorola DEFY in China (my old got swiped, FML) and decided to really try the android experience.
However, upon receiving the phone I realized that there is no market place and what I get is a stock Chinese Motorola App with crappy Chinese apps. I was wondering if there are any DEFY ROMs out there that includes the market place or is there even a way to get market place without rooting my phone?
Additionally, are there any good source APKs I can get since all the apps provided through the Chinese moto store is useless to me.
Thanks for your help. This is my first Android experience and I hope I can get the most out of it.
Thanks
Root your device.
Install Clockwork Recovery.
Flash one of the many gapps packages from the development section.

hi peeps,
finally ended up with a free work phone which pushed me to root my op5t, got latest RR installed, rooted with magisk... so what other xposed mods does everyone have and which ones should i avoid, as this isnt my first rodeo and i know if you just installed any old ware it will mash up the phone and ill be back to square one.
any lists of stuff to add or advice about what youre running would be amazing!
thanks in advance
p.s. is RR the best choice?
Hello Xda Family. I migrated to A2 Lite 3/32 last week from my retired Sony Z3+ and I want to ask a few questions about rooting. I updated phone to latest January Pie update. (It was oreo which was pre-installed from box).
Due to camera quality DRM limitations, rooting Sony phones was a scourge. As I read rooting topics, unlocking bootloader and rooting the phone aren't harmful for our phones. But I am still suspicious about rooting. I will have a few questions about rooting.
1- Does Rooting Mi A2 Lite permanent phone? (I don't really care about warranty). Which magisk and which rooting topic is best for new beginner?
2- Is there a way to flash stock ROM again? If something goes wrong, I will be able to get the phone working again.
3- One of my reasons rooting phone is having camera api2 Google Cam. Stock camera photos are very bad. And other rooting reason is having a kernel which can extend my battery life and getting rid of the action services and health services apps from system.
Professional ideas and experiences are really appreciated.
I can't decide if I root or not...
Recently, I got a Poco F3 one week ago and I just don't like the UI of it and I want to change it to PE plus.
(In case this is important, I don't use any of the banking app)
Since I'm still a very beginner at flashing ROM, I have a couple of questions want to ask :
1. Is losing the Widevine L1 really a big deal? I saw somebody said it would make the phone not safe and more easily for hacker to steal your info.
2. Is it easy to update the ROM? like those minor bug fixes update. Do I need to flash the whole ROM again for that ?
3. what's the best way to back up the phone data (not all ,just those important one) without costing
4. Is there a way to install back the MiUi built-in camera? Since I think the poco camera app is doing quite good
5.If I don't like the PE plus, is it easy for me to switch back to the original MiUi, and will it get back my phone warranty ?
That's all the question I currently have,if someone know any of it please let me know. Thanks.
1. Did I lose L1 in my F3 ? I never checked. I have tablet for netflix like applications and do not see a sense to use it on small smartfon.
2. Some roms need upgrade by flashing all , some has build-in updater and updates only system parts.
3. I use google one with cloud and titanium backup with local storage. I do not know which is the best.
4. It will replace libraries of custom rom with MIUI versions and it is dangerous. I use gcam .
5. Miupdater is very easy to use. I never used PE, always LOS and now Arrow and never will return to MIUI.
