Also next time, flash this. https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/development/rom-h932-oreo-v20o-stock-twrp-t3863202
It's stock on newest update. After you flash, wipe dalvik and cache. Then flash magisk and TWRP.
( I flash TWRP just to make sure)
This will give you back all system apps you have deleted without losing data.

I think revert will not work as market will check for update and will update itself
so it has to come on your device even if you ignore
so just replace the market app with this

You don't need to update manually. This morning I opened market and I got a new ToS prompt. Hit accept without reading. Then it started like normal market. But when I opened settings the market showed up as Play Shop. So I rebooted my phone, thinking it would fully update once I do. And it did. I opened the Market app again, and it showed a new splash screen. After that the market icon on my app drawer disappeared, replaced by the new play shop.
Nw I fixed that... I allowed it to update itself

It would update itself. I'm using Hybrid and it did. If it's not updating open market once and then reboot. Open it again and it should be updated.

thanks again :good:
it SHOULDNT matter guys.....but this will block OTA's from updating and stuff, so if that is important to you.
but always make a backup of the build.prop just to be sure. once FB home is available to EVERYONE, i would change it back just to be safe....but again, it shouldn't mess with anything else. most apps are available on the Note 2, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Does it matter if parts of the build prop mentions toro/tuna? Or does the rom I'm using matter?

Uninstall and reinstall FB Home. You have to have your build.prop changed prior to the installation of the FB Home app.

Off topic question.
Looking through the stock (factory image) rom I notice that classes.dex already exist, as well as the .odex files. Is there any difference between the two?

Tried this and it will force close SystemUI. Got it to work by deleting the odex, but I don't recommend doing this unless you know what you are doing.
If you do try it make a rom backup of the system, and data. That way if you bootloop you can restore system back.

Yes there is a difference.
Odex files (.odex) are the normal odex files, which can be deodexed.
The classes.dex files within the apk filke are for using ART. (i think)..

rwrr are the permissions and any animations that are still playing are in system/media unless you're talking about the splash screen(the lg screen before the boot animation) in which case thats part of the kernel and not able to change.
