Xtrons PB76M209P, PX5, Octa, 2gb/16gb. Stock Android 6.0 ROM, as supplied by Xtrons.
This unit has always had random disconnects of all the USB ports, but they have always reconnected
after a minute or so. Annoying, but not too serious.
Now it has totally lost all USB's.
Tried recovery menu reboot, clear cache and reboot, reset button.
All failed.
Any Ideas before I dismantle half my dashboard to remove the unit?
I've emailed Xtrons, but no reply yet.
Cheers,
Mike.
Xtrons replied:
" would you like to buy new USB cables from us and try again?"
No.
This unit is less than 5 months old!

hi mike,
this problem is known! you have to open the unit separate the px5 board, clean the connections and replug the core-board. pls. also do the "cooling-mod" AND the "usb-power-mod". explained in the video (only german).

Ive tried everything I can think of and it wont work. I have two head units. My older GA5153 was almost too easy. I inserted the SD card into the GPS slot and the unit recognized it and suggested an update. A few minutes late...it was done! My new unit is a Witson that I found on AliExpress. I love the 9 inch screen and the fact that its a quad core, but the UI just isn't doing it. It remembers most things but there's little settings that revert every time you restart the unit. I want the new ROM on there but its just not happening.
The issues Im running in to currently:
Theres no Physical buttons on the unit. I should be able to use the reset as a select button but I haven't got that far yet. The problem there is every time I boot into recovery mode its just the android on his back and it says "No Command".
The unit doesn't do any type of auto update like the GA5153 did.
It almost seems as if the UI was designed to try to prevent people from upgrading. Any and all help is appreciated as Ive been at this for hours and hours with no success. Thanks guys!
Can't you use a USB keyboard?

As bad as it sounds, I didn't even think of that. One of the wiring harnesses in the back has a usb port on it. Ill have to see if itll read it when I plug it in.
The unit recognized the keyboard and it was functional while the unit was on, but it wouldn't work in the recovery menu. I'm not sure what to do anymore. All the ROM installer apps Ive tried have failed to recognize the ROM on the SD card. Its very frustrating but I will make this work.
What Witson model do you own?
Are you sure it's a MTCB HU?
Have you tried to contact the manufacturer?
I dont think your Witson unit is an MTCB HU.
Hello ,
two weeks ago I bought that unit for my Mazda CX-5.
The problem i have is, when I start the car in the morning, no USB Port is available.
when I start the car later again, all ports can be used.
The seller said, it will be an inkompatible USB chip (my chip is GL850G) and I should replace the GL852G for the GL850G.
It´s no contact problem, I tested all possibilities.
Is it possible that the reason could be is a firmware problem.
My englisch is not very well, so please be answer easy for me.
thank you
Sven
Update to hal9k ROM, it's an hardware bug. The hal9k ROM resets the usb hub when HU boots.

Hello,
That's enough, and works?
Thank you

Hi
I have the same problem on my Dasaita!
the problem occurs only with the dab module connected to the cable with 2 usb, while the single USB cable, which I connected the 4G wi-fi router, always works.
If I will installed the hal9k ROM, could I fix the problem?
thanks
I purchased a Dasaita PX5 Android 8.0 headunt for a NISSAN X-Trail 2016 last August. Since autumn I've more or less weekly (sometimes daily) a big problem: the head unit restarts during nomal operation conditions and sometimes it even restarts up to 10 times!
After resetting the unit by pressing the reset button the system mostly runs fine. I think the main problem is the USB chip on board. I've read that there's an USB-chip issue. Dasaita suggests to change the chip by your own. Why they do not ship new updated boards?
Hey guys! its been a minute since i been on this forums. since the Samsung Vibrant and Galaxy S2 lol
anyways I bought a Phoenix Android head unit for our 2018 f150. the manufacture told us to do a CANBUS update and provided us the file via dropbox. we followed the youtube installation instructions and it went up to the 100%, then restarted. it never came back on. just a black screen. tried cycling the car on/off. tried holding the RST button. tried disconnecting the trucks battery and reconnect. nothing.
when the car is on though, the bluetooth signal for the head unit and the Sync does both show up.
is there any way to fix the bad CANBUS update?
Info on the unit:
MCUVer: 860C_KWY_E165f-FOD3-La1.00-9124
FrameworkVer: px3-userdebug 7.1.1 NMF26X eng.zxw.20170905.151422 test-keys
OSVer: 20190226A-1024x768-1.6G-860C-Ver1.0.0.kw-Ov
Nandflash: 17.68G/26.88G
RAM: 913M/2G
my unit does not have any buttons on it. all it has is a RST button. have to use a pin to press it. I think i read something about connecting a USB keyboard. not sure if i would be able to reinstall a CANBUS though.

What did the reseller suggest to resolve the issue, when contacted about this result?

They told me to hold the rst button, and try disconnecting the battery, press the reset button again.
Then last solution was to disconnect the battery for several hours and try again
Hold reset for over 20 sec (on my headunit about 22).
Hi guys,
I just bought a car unit android 8, but the screen sometimes (90% of times) looks flipped left-to-right. Sometimes is also flipped upsdide-down+left-to-right.
And sometimes I get the screen working as it should be, flawlessly, until I do not restart the car.
The defect appears from the beginning, right from the initial logo, and it remains also if I try to reset the unit. Also when I get the "boot" text menu, it appears flipped as everything. (edit - in addition, the touch layer still working in the right way, so I cannot easily understand what I'm touching on the screen, and this makes everything more complicate)
The unit is a px5, 4GB RAM, 8-core, the MCU is MTCE_XRC_V2.93_1.
I didn't already tried to overwrite the android files, because I'm trying to get some assistance from the producer. Anyway the product is coming from China, so I guess I will have to do it by myself. Until now, I rebooted, reset, cleaned, changed startup settings, and spent a lot of time in doing and re-doing all these tasks, but the unit still like at the beginning.
My question for you: do you think is it hardware problem, or can be fixed with a firmware update?
Do you have any suggestion, setting or trick in order to solve the problem?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Kind regards
It looks like a hardware problem indeed. The touchscreen 'digitizer' is apart from the display in the front. You could try if the ribbon cable inside the radio is firmly connected to the mainboard i guess. Otherwise i think a new screen..?
I will have the same issue with this same units. I write to selller , he send me a new spare part responsible for displaying the image.
I have the same problem. What is the spare part that solve this probem? Thank you in advance.
Got my Fold 3 a few days ago. Got is setup and plugged it into my truc,k and my Android Auto unit reads "No Device'". My Note 10 works fine but not my new phone. My headunit is a Jensen (like I said, worked fined with my Note 10). The Fold3 works find in my Nissan (Pioneer head unit) and my Edge (factory Ford Sync).

I am no expert here, but when I had a similar issue. I believe it is because I transferred everything from my prior phone to the new one. I got the same error when trying to pair my phone with wireless Android Auto in my Kia K5. My solution was to goto Google Play Services and clear the cache there. For some reason that allowed my phone to be found by my reciever. and worked. I didn't experince this with my new ZF3 but I did when I got my Note 20 Ultra last year. So try clearing the cache in Google Play Services.
Hey so try clearing the cache in the Google Play Services app. This worked for me when I had a similar issue with my Kia K5 going from Note 9 to Note 20 Ultra. I got the same error no device. This was going to a wireless head unit for AA. I finally figureout how to clear the cache in the Google Play Services app. Then went back to connect and it worked. Try this. It may work for the ZF3. Thankfully I did not have the same issue going from the Note 20 Ultra to ZF3. But this is what I would have done.
Thanks, man. I did that and to no avail. My phone is still not being recognized by my truck. When I press "Android Auto" on my head unit, I still get the message "No Device"
I'd flip cables for sure. Then I'd go to your setting when plugged in and make sure it's not set to charge only on the phone. Should be adjustable from the notification on charging.
I've having some weird issues with android auto and my fold 3. I've noticed when connected to android auto I often loose cellular data and it switches from 5g/lte/edge and no service. If I disable android auto the phone operates normally. Anyone else seeing anything similar.
Just a thought for OP. Did you happen to try opening Android Auto app in phone and checking to see if truck is an added vehicle and add if not?
The cable seems the most viable option. There is no option to select or deselect charging only, and Android Auto is no longer separate app. It is built into the OS and automatically opens when the phone is plugged into a headunit and there are no options to manipulate. The pain is that the dash has be pulled out to change the cable so I'll have to research a certified cable.
Did you buy chance to to settings > advance settings > then use Android auto there? Not sure if a setting in that will help. When I open it it wantsto attempt to connect to vehicle

When I go there, I get the button to connect to a car, but when I plug the cable in, nothing happens and the head unti still displays no device. I'm thinking that I'm going to have to remove the dash and change the cable.

Ah well unfortunately don't no more than that, just knew I saw an android auto option in there. My car doesn't support wireless and haven't tried the wired part yet to see
Well, removed the dash and head unit and changed the cable. I tried a Belkin USB-C certifed cable and even the known working cable from my other truck, and got the same thing.
On the phone I get the notification to stop my truck and apply the parking brake to continue and on the head unit I still get the notice of "no device" when I press the screen for Android Auto. At this point, I'm hoping I don't have to change my head unit to get this setup to work.
Weird mine worked just fine.
Did you make sure everything was updated
Yeah. I called Jensen they say it's a phone problem, Samsung says it's a Jensen problem
Got an email from Jensen customer service. My HU uses a bypass to allow certain functions while my truck is moving. I installed the HU myself and also installed the bypass. Jensen engineers found that I need to disconnect the parking brake wire from the bypass and connect it to chassis ground. I did that and was able to connect. I'm so happy to be able to use my phone in my truck.
