Hi;
I was loading a pic on "Whatsapp" when my T989 screen went blank like it is powered off and the phone never came back. My device is rooted, but runs the OEM Android OS 4.2.1 jelly bean. It has been rooted since 2 years ago and has been running JB for a year with no problems. Could the root be so old that it bricked my device?
1- Tried to re-power, remove the battery, switch the battery, Hard-Reset it , nothing comes on the screen.
2- When I plug it to my computer via usb Cable, it make a noise like it is connecting and search for driver, but Kies does not identify it or connect to it. But again nothing show up in the screen.
3- Called Samsung and confirmed there is no water damage to the device or the battery via the Solid white lables.
Is it bricked or something else, how can I narrow the problem to know fix it?
Thanks

Are you able to get the phone into download mode?
I need some help guys, my Note II yesterday acting very strangely, although there were no dock I keep seeing Dock connected notification on the notification bar. After that I tried connect to my PC, it display charging but PC won't detect it. And when I charge it sometimes it charge and sometimes don't. Is it my port faulty already? I tried to clean it but same results... Help :crying:
I've got a note 2, running 4.4.2, a note pro 8.4 running 4.4.2, and an asus win7 computer
i can run sidesync on the pc, connect the note via usb or wifi, and get keyboard/mouse sharing working just flawlessly
as soon as I attempt to do screen sharing, the note2 goes black (which it should) but the virtual phone just loads endlessly, and eventually times out. doesn't matter wifi or usb
if I launch sidesync on the tablet, and then the phone, the tablet see's the phone and attempts to make the connection. phone goes blank, and virtual phone just eventually times out, just like on the pc
has anyone gotten this working on the note 2? is there a specific version that works?
so, 5 minutes after the post, there's windows update notification, and the update is related to samsung USB driver update
do the update, reboot, and holy jebus, screen sharing works!
sorta
now I get connection (usb and wifi work) and I can see the screen mirrored. the phone screen does not black out, but I can't interact with it either. on the pc, I can see the mouse icon turn from spinny blue thing, to solid blue donut, but it does't interact with the phone. I can click the home, back and menu buttons on the bottom of the virtual phone, and they work, but nothing else does
bleh
any ideas?
Hello to all!!
Let me describe the problem...
The tablet needs to be repeatedly plugged and unplugged for about 10min to start charging...the charger is detected as a USB device.
When I connect the tablet to the PC nothing happens, sometimes, just sometimes the tablet displays "High-power usb device connected", but if I put the tablet in download mode the connection always works, also if I connect the USB-flash device to the tablet the tablet recognise it.
The problem is the charger an the PC...the tablet just don't recognise them...!
I also tried *#0808# ... now I have the USB setting on MTP+ADB .... and I also tried different roms and the problem is always the same.
If anyone know what is going on, please let me know!
Thanks!
Hello guys, I'm having some problems with my Samsung S4 mini i9195. I was changing sd card to try to see a video shot with my Xiaomi Yi, since the phone boot I had some lag problems when suddenly it turned off. I'm not able to charge it, boot, go on recovery or download mode. When I plug it to my charger it vibrates, and battery logo shows up for a few seconds the it disappear and the screen goes black. When I plug it to my pc it says "unknown device" and try to download drivers, but I hear the usb device sound like the usb is connected and disconnected continuously. Today I tried my friends' battery(charged to 70% at least) and as soon as I plugged it the phone turns on and the samsung logo shows up, then suddenly shuts down. After this try, my friend pugged his battery in his phone and after booting battery was 0%, then he rebooted again and the correct percentage was shown. I was thinking it was something like a dead eMMC, but not anymore I believe it's a bad power management problem. What do you think? Can you guys say if this is a motherboard problem or only something related to the charging board?
Thanks a lot for your help.
