Hello everybody. The story goes like this
Last night I put my P6-U06 to charge overnight, After half an hour I realized it didn't charge at all. Not even 1% although the device stated "Charging(x%)" on the homescreen. After fiddling with it a bit changed chargers, changed cables etc. the phone died. Putting it back in the wall socket started charging my phone. After a 15% charge I thought I boot it up. Then the display went completely black and started vibrating continuously. As such I believed it to be a software issue and proceeded to download firmware from the huawei website and placed it in dload folder in sd card.
Problem is I have absolutely no idea if the phone is off or not because as soon as I plug it in a computer or wall socket it starts vibrating and the little LED starts beeping red. However when I try the 3 button hold for recovery the continuous vibration stops for a second and then it kinda pulsates( like when you are typing ) then starts vibrating continuously again. I have tried every possible combination of these three keys all with the same result. For some reason I cannot start the huawei recovery procedure. Also the pc is not detecting the phone at any stage.
What do you think is causing this? I can't explain what happened. A minute was working fine the other bam! bricked phone.
Update: plugging the phone in the pc or wall socket while holding the 3 buttons starts it with the pulsating vibration mentioned above. However nothing on the display and a few seconds after releasing the buttons the continuous vibration resumes.
Update 2: This morning the phone was left without charge. When connecting it to the charger the display came alive with the battery and percentage of charge. However booting it again resulted in the same issue.
Like title says, my VS985 is looping in random ways and sometimes doesn't recognize that the battery is in the phone. Here is an overview:
- While off the charger, it is unresponsive, no buttons work.
- Recovery button combo does not work. I cannot get into recovery at all.
- While plugged in, it shows the battery screen, then reboots into a loop, has a long vibration
- Plug in + power button is a short vibration, I see the LG screen then it reboots to the above loop
- Plug into PC + up button shows the download mode screen then reboots to above loop
- At random times it will display the gray screen as if I plugged it in with no battery
Am I screwed? Wanted to sell this thing but I doubt it now. It was rooted running an older Euphoria build

Not going to buy a new one to attempt it since this isn't even my main device.. However, I left it plugged up in it's battery loop all night and this morning it had booted successfully and the battery was at 100%
I unplugged and powered it off, it's still unresponsive. No buttons work at all. I plugged it back into the charger and it starts the same loop again...........

Exactly the same behaviour with my d855. The last few months were just random reboots here and there, occasionally needing a battery pull. These days it was turning off randomly during use but never while plugged in...now it doesn't even boot while plugged in. Your description matches my experience perfectly.
I've seen quite a few reports of this behaviour, all happening recently...what is going on?

Not sure how to explain it, I don't think it's the battery since it will sometimes boot up correctly. I ordered a new power button flex cable off of ebay when I made this topic, when it gets here I'll post again with the results.
@3dawg the brand new power flex cable solved my problems, which was that the old power button became faulty and was rebooting the phone before it could start anything
after installing the new flex cable, I was able to charge the phone (it was completely dead from rebooting) and now I'm able to use it again

This is interesting because replacing the battery on mine also completely fixed my problem. Thanks for letting me know!
So my galaxy nexus won't turn on or go into download mode or anything.
Only response I get is when I connect it to charger it shows the battery is charged and then it goes away,
and when I plug it in the computer it shows unrecognized usb device and then it goes away then it shows unrecognized device again(this happens in a loop)
how it supposedly got bricked: I was just using phone on a CFW, and after changing some voltage settings from some voltage control then applied, and then screen flickered and then it turned off, I turned it back on and everything was working but after 5 seconds same thing happened, then I turned off and on again and still same thing happened, after a few more tries it just stopped turning on ;-;
I have the same issue but hadn't made any changes. The battery died the other day and it didn't come back. I can boot into the bootloader and when I choose start or recovery it just goes back to the full battery logo.

Would getting a new battery fix this?
Ok, so recently i got a replacement for my broken s4 i9505 a samsung galaxy i9195 s4 mini so as soon as i laid my hands on it i instantly went to install the cyanogen mod for the android 6.0 i was constantly updating the phone via the cm updater on the phone. So last night i turned off my phone went to sleep woke up next morning turned on my phone it vibrated and everything i went to eat something and left my phone in the room i came back tried to unlock the phone and found out that it turned itself off randomly so i tought that battery is at 0% so i turned it on again and connected it to the usb to charge it up watched youtube on my pc for about 10 minutes eyed my phone and saw that it was stuck on the first samsung logo the one before the recovery that first pops up when you start the phone so my mind went kinda "wtf" so i unplugged the usb took the cover off and took my battery out placed it back in and tried to start my phone and it doesn't start or charge i tried power + home + volume up that doesn't work so i tried to connect it to pc again and it shows up as qualcomm HS-usb QDLoader (9008) (http://prntscr.com/dcoono) so im thinking that something went wrong or the phone forced to update itself but i don't think so cm updater does it automaticly i've always doing it manualy. The phone bricked itself?
Help?

Whenever my s4 mini drains completely I will get ZERO response from it until its connected to a high amp charger for a while or i charge the battery on an external charger first. This really had me scared a bunch of times as well, hopefully that is your case. If you know the battery is charged id start by going into download mode (volume down) and starting over with a new recovery.

I tried the battery on the s4 i9505 its 50% charged.
Tried QFIL but always returns an error for me saying that the sahara failed...
I can't even start it up..
Hi,
couple days ago when I unplugged the earbuds from my phone I noticed that the headphones logo was still appearing and thus the phone was not outputting any sounds to its speakers. I tried to plug and unplug the earbuds a couple more to see if that fixed it and when it didn't, I decide to reboot.
Ever since the phone has refused to work, when I boot the phone now the following happens:
-Phone buzzes, MI logo appears
-After that it shows me the screen of an empty battery as it would when the battery is drained. (Worth nothing that when I rebooted the phone, battery was at 80%)
-After a few seconds the notification light in the upper right partner of the phone blinks twice and the phone shuts
If the phone is connected to a charger, it will just repeat the beaviour described above endlessly. Things I've tried so far:
Accessing Fastboot
This doesn't work because, while the fastboot logo appears, just after it, the empty battery logo appears and the phone again shuts
Replacing the battery
I've tried replacing the battery with a known good one and the same issues appear
I am at my wits' end all the possible solutions described around the internet seems to be based on the assumption you still have access to fastboot which I don't. Is there something else I could try?
Thanks
try edl mode
