Greetings to all!
The specs for the Mi A2 Lite says a compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor etc are installed/supported on this phone, but I see no such apps installed or any way to activate them.
Could someone explain? I have the global version, with stock Android 1 & no MIUI. Thanks
No need to activate them, just use them, they are already active E.g. compass will be used by Google Maps or Here We Go maps, gyroscope by some kind of games etc. There are some apps in Google Play who can use those sensors too.

Thanks for your reply and advice. I was hoping to be able to open up and use eg. the compass myself, as with other phones I have (including Xiaomi).

You will definitely find a myriad of compass apps in the play store if you search for it.

This is pretty weird but any barcode scanner I use on the 5x inverts the camera. Meaning if I move left, it moves right. My regular camera works fine. Has occurred on shopsavvy and barcode scanner. Anyone else?
The same thing is happening with my banking app when I try to deposit a check

I don't know about barcode scanners but I tried using A Better Camera as my camera app and it also inverts everything, photos and videos are saved upside-down (rotated 180 degrees).
Appears to be the apps' implementation of the Camera 1 API, not considering its installed orientation. I don't imagine Google will fix this themselves, and instead rely on the app devs to update their code.
It would have been a lot easier if they just installed the camera in the same orientation that everyone else does :|
Can someone post the sample rates for barometer and accelerometer in Huawei Watch? I am a developer working on apps that use these sensors and it's important to know various devices' capabilities when working on algorithms that process raw sensor data. For example, LG G Watch R has a barometer running at 90Hz sample rate and accelerometer at 200Hz. This is very good because it gives me a lot of samples every second for smoothing and differentiation.
Here's how: install an app called Smart Altimeter and tap the info icon.
Your help is much appreciated. Not trying to promote the app or anything - delete it if don't need it.

Thank you! 20Hz is decent. So far, Huawei and LG watches are the only AW devices featuring a pressure sensor.
I have this problem, maybe it is possible to calibrate this somehow or just switch it but I couldn't find it myself.
Whenever I lunch 360 video on yt or other VR app. Vertical gyroscope sensore is working fine. However up and down are switched.
How do I switch it back?

Hi, I had same problem than you.
After many research I have found Gyro_files.zip I have replaced all files in different folders and after a reboot, all work perfectly for VR now.
Edit: I can't post links or files, you can search "Gyro_Files.zip" in google and choose the first link then you can download the archive.
Any cm14 for US version?!
Hi,
I've been trying a few camera apps. I'm using the A2 camera module (magisk), GCam_mod (R5Plus_fix_crash), CameraMX app, CameraZoomFX app and OpenCamera app (from FDroid). And I could only use the geotagging feature with the Open Camera app. The other 4 apps didn't geotag any photo. I must say I have google services disabled, I don't know if they heavily rely on them. All other location apps work just fine.
I tried leaving the app open for quite a while. Tried shooting with split screen (not the first two) with an app that uses location (satstat or maps) after it fine locates me. No luck. Only OpenCamera is able to use the phone location to tag the photos.
Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?
anyone know proximity so that works with more 10...... need it for aftermarket case......tried a few play store apps but none seem to work
This has been discussed before, this new implementation for the prox sensor under the screen is not available for third party apps, or cases, sorry...
