hi all
i had 2 newbie questions!
1.where can i find the apk files that my phone downloads from market?
2.my phone only shows 7 pages of app whereas i've downloaded much more!
restarting the phone didn't solve the issue! what should i do?
3. quadrant doesn't connect to server and i can't see its results!
4. after restarting, my manually sorted apps lose their order!!! and i don't know on what basis they tend to sort themslves! this is REALLY annoying!
thanks in advance
1 - You'd need root access to get to them, they're stored in //data/app/
2 - Not all apps appear in the app drawer. Launchers, widgets etc tend not to have an entry in the drawer.
3 - No idea, sorry.
4 - That's just the way it is, a known bug.
I'm agree with no.4 , it's really annoying me. Whenever I reboot my phone, the order is messed up

Hi guys. I bought the Nokia X a few days ago and have installed Nova Launcher, sideloaded Google core services and tried using Framaroot without success (choosing the Gandalf exploit returns the message, "Failed... Error #7"). I am usually greeted by a barrage of error messages saying that Google services have crashed every time I fire up an app.
For the past couple of days, the native Nokia Launcher has been crashing repeatedly. Resetting app preferences helped restore order for a few hours before the messages began popping up again. I am being unable to do anything because before I can reach for the Nova Launcher icon, the Nokia Launcher crashes and begins re-starting.
My questions:
* Do you know of ways to launch the task manager? Or, at least let me know of how to launch Nova Launcher.
* Why do you think the apps keep crashing?
Let me tell you that the problems began after the system software updated to v1.11.
Thanks in advance.
use atom launcher turn off the system apps u don't like. there is option to turn off the system apps. my launcher also keeps force closing.

What firmware are you using? 10.0.3 or 11.1.1? you can only install google apps after you done rooting, and manually add those apps to system/app and change all permission to correct one.
I really love this app it does an amazing job of replacing the stock launcher, and let's you navigate everything like settings, quick settings a well as get to apps faster (multi column app vs single app display). You can also sort by active use.
Not sure if anyone else has tried it, the only part I wish I knew how to do was replace the stock launcher for this to get some resources back.

I had it on my watch for a while and found it useful. But then I removed it because I started getting an error "screen overlay detected" while trying to run some other apps (e.g Messenger). After several trials and errors I suspected that the Weat Mini Launcher may be the root cause. So I removed it. After that the error has not occurred again. But whether that is just a co-incidence OR the Mini Launcher was really the root cause - I don't know.

Yes, this is an issue I've found to. The app has a setting to disable itself, then you can run your app with the overlay error and give it the new permissions. Then go back to your mini launcher and enable it again. You only have to do this with new apps that require new permissions the first time.

Thanks. Will try as you have suggested
After updating to miui.8.2.1 stable rom, the third party apps like pics art, photo director, mx player, and even the mi store app are force closing without my involvement (collapsing).
I dont know what to do
Please resolve my problem
Hi, I've experienced this too. I even had a full reboot when using Google Photos. Try clearing the app data for each app that has a problem and see if that helps.
i have the same problem, it stops back ground processes which some times is really annoying and i can't make an exception
Yeah! I Experienced same problem. After Flashing clean MIUI Rom When i opened some apps force closed but after i reopened them apps started smoothly. I would suggest just close app from task manager and then reopen. Hope it will work for you.
Is the app down ,I click on it and it just sticks on the XDA logo ,website forum obviously working ok ,but the app seems to have an issue
Upgrades on the server side can cause outages. Try again after some time and update to the latest version
Much of the app seems to have suddenly shifted. I'm not sure I understand many of the changes especially as it's not been updated for 2 weeks
Seems to be working for me.
i gave up on it the last update broke it
i just use website now
are you using the old version....new:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xda.labs.play
The app works so-so. It could definitely use tons of improvement. It's good for push notifications. Every once in a while, clicking on a push notification will start launching the XDA app but then it goes away. Relaunching manually from the app icon works fine afterward.

Same here. It just doesn't want to load. Using the website now too.
I gave up on the app almost as soon as they released it. It is a mess. There is a thread for the app, seems backend changes made this recent mess.
Check out the new XDA app! Let us know what you think [App rolling out now]
The new app is just an upgrade to the current XDA app, so you should be able to just go into Play and hit "Update" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xda.labs.play The app is rolling out now, and will take hours to get to...
forum.xda-developers.com
I watched the New forums conversion and the app was behind on development. I decided then to only use the website and not the app in Beta!

no....read the thread psted above the new version is messed up
I thought it was just me. I switched back from iphone and didn't realize how much xda has changed since my older android endeavors.
I have not been able to use the app since 11/2 when it updated on all of my devices. It just hangs at the XDA logo. Have cleared cache, force stopped it, cleared data, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it still doesn't work. There are plenty of comments on the Google Play Store with complaints about the app not working but the app developers seem to be ignoring the comments including mine. A little acknowledgement from the developers about it would go a long way.
App never worked for me. Never loaded anything.
We've got a thread about this very crash in the xda app forum (2/3 of us are on pixel 6 pro and at least one comment in google PlayStore was a p6p too)
Latest update Broken App
So the latest PlayStore update has broken the app on Android 12. On my Pixel 6 Pro it worked fine on previous version but now it freezes on XDA logo and app never loads. Tried clearing cache/data. but no difference.

Yesterday this app would just force close after I opened it, but today it seems to open but it won't keep me logged in. How the hell can an app made by this community have so many problems? This is baffling to me.

I had this issue, I have a pihole and turning it off solved it. I am able to get back on with my pihole enabled after that. It was just the initial launch. So try disabling any ad blockers.
I had to delete app data a couple times yesterday because it would get the XDA loading screen and then go back to the home screen.

Same here. I find that the app doesn't refresh and I have to remove it from recents anger then relaunch. But now when I do that the behavior you describe reemerges. I hope they fix it soon.

The app itself is so strange to begin with. It's part forum app part browser. I definitely preferred Tapatalk.
