I just tried 'Watch only' and discovered that it was one timezone ahead!
When I returned it was back to 'normal'.
Is that a 'feature' and how does one then 'set' the correct time?
After having rebooted the watch I tried the "Watch only"-option again - now it shows the correct time.

I am new to the Smartphone...
I synced my calendar to my S620. Now sometimes randomly I get notices that I have an appointment when in fact I had that appointment yesterday.
It looks like all my meetings are getting moved forward 12 or so hours in my calendar. Then maybe after 5 or 10 minutes the calendar reverts back to the corrrect times.
Has anybody else encountered this issue?
Any solutions?
might have to do with your time settings, check if it's auto on in the time settings as well as the right timezone and it matches your computer
I have experienced a similar issue. Yesterday I noticed one of my appointment times change on 2 separate occasions. The time changed to an hour earlier than my meeting was supposed to be and then changed to an hour after. I set it back both times. Fortunately, I knew what time my meeting was that day.
I've only been using the Dash a couple of days so I don't know if this will be an ongoing issue. I had put the device in my holster without locking it, so I was wondering if that might be the source of the problem. Also, I had some trial 3rd party PIM software installed which I have since uninstalled. I'm a little worried that this would be an issue that would get through testing.
Today I noticed all my meeting times advanced by an hour when my service changed from T-Mobile to Centennial when I was driving. The time on the home screen of my Dash was correct, but all my meeting times changed by an hour. I watched as I changed back from Centennial to T-Mobile, and double checked my meeting times. They all moved back to the correct time. Anybody have any idea what is going on? It doesn't make sense that the time on my home screen was fine, but my appointment times changed on me. Any insight on the matter would be helpful.
In the clock settings uncheck the "auto clock/time zone" setting
Hi,
When i get a call and i click on "decline" button, i should get a pop up allowing me to send a quick message or make a reminder about calling back.
I checked and the relevant options are ticked on in the phone settings section.
What happen though is that i decline the call and the pop up shows for a split second and disappear :\
I attached a picture of the evasive pop up.
I tried ticking the option on and off, rebooting, nothing helps.
The only thing that seemed like it changed was resetting the phone (on power menu, you can reboot and delete temp files or something like that). That made the feature work once, but on the seconds time i declined a call it dissapeared again.
I did make sure the "Don't show this again" option is UNCHECKED.
I searched XDA forums and google, and only found one relevant topic which did not solved my issue.
Help...?

You might just have to do a complete factory reset. Sometimes, system functions can get screwed up for no apparent reason (it is usually something else you installed). Are you stock or on a custom ROM?
Hi, thanks for your reply.
I guess that deep inside me, i knew you would recommend that...
The device is new. Bought it last week. it's stock, unrooted, untouched.
I did a lot of rom changes before with my other device (GS3) so i'm no stranger to factory reset, but every time i used it was to completely change a rom. I have never done it on a brand new device in order to actually reset a glitch...
Can you tell me what exactly will factory reset delete? What will i loose? any personal data? apps? app setttings? what else?
Thanks :cyclops:
I am an avid user of Textra, I've thoroughly checked the Battery Optimizations and turned off "auto optimization", which has helped quite a few of my apps stop from restarting every time switch apps and attempt to return to them.
I tried reinstalling the app to no avail. Basically what happens is, every time I am in a conversation, "go home", and attempt to return to the app, it has restarted on the main conversation page vs the conversation I was in. It's super annoying when you're trying to sms back and forth with someone and you have to keep clicking their name to continue talking to them.
I tried installing YAATA as well, and it is having the same issues. I looked at all the settings and see no internal reason the apps are restarting. I currently am using PULSE SMS and it's working fine, and is not restarting each time I multitask to another app and back.
I have also checked under Developer options to ensure "Don't keep activities" was not selected, and that the "Background process limit" is set to standard, which it is.
Any advice?

I came form an S8+ and never saw this crap before. I did see mention of it on an S10 in a post on reddit and the solution was apparently "disable "strong protection" in biometrics advance settings". But this option doesn't exist on my ultra. I don't want to faff about unlocking the thing every morning when I turn it on just to be able to see if any notifications have turned up. It is also not booting fully until I unlock it because it comes up with "starting phone" afterwards and I then have to wait another couple of minutes after that for all the notifications to have arrived. It's ridiculous. There MUST be a way to turn this **** off and have the thing just boot normally! There has to be an obscure option somewhere that I haven't seen?? I can't even find mention of this on google so perhaps I am the only one in the world this happens to.
I have the same issue. But can’t find any solution.
I'm new to S21 FE. I was surprised when I saw the option "Keep screen on while viewing" in Settings. I enabled it because it should be a nice feature, but I can't see it working.
I change the display time to 15 seconds and the phone always switches the display off after 15 seconds (yes, I was looking at the phone).
Am I missing something?
Sorry, but the display time has nothing to see with the option "keep when on when viewing".
This option means that the screen won't shutdown while you're reading something on it (like a long text)
I just set this option on and give a try... a kept the phone in my hand looked the screen more than 30' (of course I didn't touch anything on it, I just looked it ) and he stayed on...
My English isn't good, and probably I wasn't clear enough.
Your test showed the behavior I expected. But it simply doesn't work on my phone. It uses time set in Settings. I expect that enabled "Keep when on when viewing" will override the time settings.
OK, it means that maybe he doesn't wields on your phone
What is the version of your ROM ?
Did you try to unset the option, restart the phone and set it again?
Did you receive a system update recently? If yes, did you do a wipe cash partition from the recovery? (recommended after major updates)
I got my phone a previous week and its firmware was updated in the process of preparing an Android for use with my account. In the first walk-through Settings I enabled the option "Keep screen on when viewing" because it looks interesting to me, but it didn't work. Two days ago I got a new firmware (G990BXXS2CVC6) and it still doesn't work.
I tried enabling/disabling but it didn't help. I also restart the phone and didn't help.
I didn't wipe the cache partition from the recovery.
And here is some additional info from this morning. I noticed that the screen keeps on (if I look at the screen of course) if the phone is charging! When I pull off the cable, this feature doesn't work anymore.
That's strange! On mine it works even he's not charging
Maybe you can try to do the wipe cache partition... but if he works like that from the begin, maybe it will be useless.....
Your phone is also a snapdragon one?
Strange, I agree.
Yes, it is a snapdragon dragon.
I will carefully follow the behavior in the next days.
Once (or twice) today I noticed that function worked (without charging). But it is very rare.
