DeviceKeystring has stopped - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note5

(UPDATED)
Hi, when i try the code *#2663# only said DeviceKeystring has stopped.
Yes, my note only works with the SPen, but i want to try with that menu to see if it can made that the touchscreen works again or not, but i have the problem that i said.
I'm in the N920AUCU5ERB5 system.
I tried with the Binary System 5 and it made the same error.
Could it be that the touchscreen it's really broken?
New Information
Hello, this morning when I woke up I took my cell phone and I did not take it well and it fell to the floor, nothing was broken, so I decided to restart it to see what happened, when I did the touch screen was working.
I'm not saying that if the touch screen does not work, drop your cell phone NO, but it is likely that if this is failing have to open the cell phone disconnect and reconnect the cable that connects to the screen, maybe work as in my case although it was unexpected.
And yes, the *#2663# is working now, but how the touchscreen is working i don't going to update that.

[Q] Touch problem....

I m facing an awkward problem with my WFS's touch.... It works pretty fine with everything for sometime but after some irregular time, it starts acting erratically and I simply loose the focus on the screen...... the touch buttons automatically start acting until I lock the phone using power button.... As soon as I do so, it works like a charm again after sometime....
Notes:-
1. It doesn't happen in any particular ROM.
2. It doesn't happen in any particular apps.
3. It doesn't happen in any particular time interval, it just happens, sometimes after 10 seconds only, and sometimes not even for half an hour continuously.... (I was watching a movie on phone on mxplayer.... It worked pretty fine for about 45 minutes, and all of sudden, the touch closed the movie....... I turnt the screen off and then again came back, then it happened again within 10 to 20 seconds continuously for about 10 times so I got pissed off and kept the mobile aside.......)
4. I have tried almost everything out there related to touch fixes for WFS, like unlock freeze problem solutions etc, but neither of them happens to work in my case.....
5. I just have a hunch that its moisture problem.... I guessed, that when I use my phone's screen continuously, it works like a charm like earlier, but when the screen gets heated up ,it starts reacting erratically......
If anyone has any solution of at least knows the accurate problem, I wold b really thankful to them...........
I have tried using different ROMs, Kernels etc...........
If you think it's something related to moisture. Put the phone in a rice container for 24 hours. Take the battery, mmc, and back cover first. Shut down the container tight. The moisture should be take care of.
It can also be faulty connection or another hardware problem.
This also happens to me so you are not alone. Though I have grown used to it, it is still a pain in the back side at times. I also press the power button in order to temporarily remedy the problem. This is a hardware issue either to do with as said moisture or overheating.
well...what happens with mine is when i press the power button to unlock, touchscreen doesnt respond for some time and i am unable to unlock the device. But after that touchscreen works fine. Sometimes i even cant recieve the phone! And if even a single tine drop of water falls on screen...entire screen stops working!
That happend with mee too...i just send mine to hTC service center(ahmedabad)...they replaced touch screen and motherboard for free, though with s-off with custom rom...they didnt denied for warranty,lol....!!!
Now every thing works fine.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using xda app-developers app
Lucky you smartboy....
Well as a solution I too went to customer care center they said they'd have to update the touchscreen firmware and would require a special card to do so, and for the time being they didn't have it and hence they would send a request to other center to get it.... I'm waiting for their reply when they get it....
Thanks sukhijit for the moisture solution.... I'd try that also....

[Q] Phone stuck in screensaver mode

Hi!
I brought my Xperia Play phone USED two years ago and I've never had any problems with it.
However, recently, the phone has started to freeze itself in "screensaver" mode (Where the screen goes black after 15 seconds and locks the phone), but the screen won't light up no matter which button I press. I've had to restart the phone every time this happens.
It's been behaving strange at start up as well, as it sometimes take 20 minutes just for it to turn on, while on other occasions, it won't turn on at all!
Is this problem caused by the battery, or is it the hardware?
Is it with stock firmware?

Yes.
I've never modded it or installed custom firmware/apps.
Have you tried factory resetting it?

Yes, but it didn't fix it. The problem still occurs.
tldr: Black screen, no display, everything works "under" (I can answer the phone etc). Not a flex cable problem because occurs randomly, regardless of the slider being open or closed. The problem also occurs during boot up, so rather not a software problem.
I think I have something similiar. Everything was fine until a few days ago the screen didn't want to unlock..or at least I thought it was that.
Basically the phone sometimes works OK but sometimes if I turn off (lock) the screen, it won't go back. To be precise, the phone works and if someone calls me I can pick it up moving the finger where the slider should be, it's just the display doesn't turn on. Same goes for booting, bootloader logo etc, so IMO it's not a software problem.
Strange thing is that it just randomly pops back, sometimes when I move the gamepad slider, sometimes when I put in a jack cable or if I hard reset the phone (remove battery). I've had problems with the flex cable in the past and this time I know that it's not it (no difference if I open/close the slider).
My guess would be some power supply or LCD driver IC issues, because the screen stops working almost everytime if I put the phone into the dock. Moreover, if the screen doesn't work, the orange charging LED is not working (green and blue are OK). The moment the screen starts working, the orange charging LED starts working too.
it's very strange but I'm used to electronics doing strange stuff. Just wondering if I should give a try disassembling the phone and trying to fix it or just buy a new one or something?
I might add that I have bought a new battery ~3 months ago, but it's been working fine to this point. I have tried if the same problem occurs with the old/original battery and it's the same.
well, any ideas?
edit: This video shows something very similiar (except the backlight): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4p0-kv1cxA
Same problem. And I guess this guy has it too.

[Q] Touchscreen and sim reader both stopped working at same time

I have the ATT sgh-i747. I was using it as normal. The battery was low and i could not charge it before it got to 0%. After it died, I connected the charger and started it back up. When the screen came on the "no sim-emergency calls only" message was there and the touch screen did not work. Also the time and date were off, it said 3:59 September 15th. I tried the normal reset (take battery out, replace, turn back on) several times and still the same thing. I had just replaced the sim reader a month ago, as well as the rear camera and speaker, and everything was working as normal. I opened the phone up to make sure all connections were set. Still the same message. I did a factory reset and after I turn it on, still, the touchscreen does not work and still says no sim. I find it odd that both these things would stop working at the exact same time. Also the phone is long past its warranty. Any ideas on what this could be?

Touch screen doesn`t work anymore

Yesterday suddenly my phone just deny to work with touch screen. I try hard reset with update.zip. I try clear data with button combination. I wonder what can be the cause? Is there anyone with the same problem? I wonder if i change the touch screen what will happen? Because the screen is not broken, i didnt hit the phone. The touch stopped just when it was with screen off. I hit the power button to wake it up, and then cant swipe.
Yes unfotunately mine as well. It happened 1 year ago, touchscreen used to work randomly. So I sent it back to China, but it was working perfectly.
After getting it back it worked for 1 month, and since impossible to do anything. Without touchscreen no TWRP, no backup possible, no flash.
It's a brick now and it is no guaranteed anymore. I lost my money my time and my nerves.
So sorry for you but I don't think you'll manage to fix it. I think it's an hardware issue.
You can try use OTG cable and a mouse.
Mine touchscreen have an row in the middle, with about 1 centimeter that don't recognize the touch, all the rest work perfect. With a mouse, work all.
Mine stopped working one morning. I left the phone on the bedside table and the next morning the touch screen didn’t work..that’s all…the screen is fine, I didn’t have any accident with it...
It was 4 months ago.. I tried everything I could to revive the phone, but I couldn’t.. so I bought a new phone, from different brand obviously
Good luck with yours!

Witson PX5 Faulty (?) Touchscreen

Device is a PX5 fitted for an MB SLK (with extra hardware Buttons, CAN-BUS, etc), Android 9.
I think someone posted something similar before, I'm also in contact with the producer (Witson):
First the tl;dr - Touchscreen didnt work temporarily, then permanently, now not in some areas.
Now the details:
~2 Weeks ago: Touchscreen suddenly didn't respond, I rebooted the device, worked fine again
~1 Week ago: Touchscreen was acting "on its own" sometimes making presses I didnt make, so songs switched etc. maybe was also only dirt, but didn't seem like it, only reboot helped
~2 days ago: Drive to supermarket, everything works fine, come back, screen doesn't react anymore. AT ALL. Tried to reboot, still doesn't work. Tried to boot into recovery, even there the screen doesn't work(tapping gestures, long press).
So I wrote Witson and simultaneously googled for issues like that with Android Head Units, read sth about calibrating the screen or holding reset+power button... last thing didnt work.
Smarta** that I am, I connected a mouse to the device, system was working fine with that, so I could still somehow use everything, so definatley sth with the touchpanel
Then came the answer from Witson, they sent a video on how the recalibrate, so I did:
Go into Factory Settings > Enter 126 > Touch Panel Calibration (or sth like that) .... 2 crosses in the corners of the screen, no reaction .. i think i also tried to use "Reset Touch" but also didn't work.. BUT I didn't reboot afterwards.
Now the fun begins: After work, go to the car, Head Unit starts, I dont even try touching until after 3 minutes and as I try suddenly the screen reacts! But after some time of driving, it stopped working again.
Back home, reboot, touch works for ~1min then stops again.
Boot into recovery, Wipe/Factory reset, Screen reacts PARTLY after that, like around the middle it doesn't seem to react... Factory Settings for Calibration again, want to enter the 126, but that row on the keyboard doesn't react. All the others do (even though sometimes laggy), Mouse again, enter code, go to calibration, touch works this time! Calibrate, apply, reboot. But still sometimes the Settings itself don't react all the time, when I wnat to enter WiFi Password, again, upper row of the keyboard doesn't react, rest of the keyboard does.
WHAT is going on!? Faulty Hardware? Software? "Driver"?
I also have a video of me trying to enter stuff on the keyboard, if someone needs it.
Suggest to send it back or demand warranty replacement for these poor lack of Quality Control knock off head units.
All you will get posting here are guesses.
