TabS 8.4 T705 questions - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, sorry if I ask questions already made and answers many times, but while reading well here and there in this forum, I have ideas a bit 'confused.
I own the device in question, currently stock Samsung with Marshmallow 6. I would like to unlock it, get root permissions, install a recovery (maybe the twrp) and maybe flash a new Rom like the LineageOS.
Can some "holy" summarize the steps?
Because I do not understand if I have the bootloader locked or not, if just I do the operation of the "autoroot chainfire" and then flash rom (everything from Odin) or if you need anything else. I would not brick the device...
Thanks and sorry for my english...!!!!

Help with installing ROM

Hello Guys
Recently my phone warranty expired and I decided to install a Custom Rom on my sony xperia zl(C6502). Kitkat 4.4.2
I decided I will install this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2656019 but unfortunately am a total noob in this department.
I didn't do anything as I might end up damaging my phone and all the thread regarding rooting says you need 4.3.
Also, the thread I came across say u need xyz fireware and kernel or something to do flash and stuff.
I would be grateful if someone could tell me how exactly I install the above ROM.
My phone is as it was during the time of purchase. It is not rooted, flashed or whatever bootloader thing it is.
Rooting Status :
Bootloader unlock allowed : yes
Would you please also tell me how to root my phone as I would like to root it as well.

Help! Installing custom rom, kernel and rooting

Hi
I was wondering if some one would help me and answer some questions about rooting, installing custom roms and kernels on my LG G3 - D855. I am a complete novice when it comes to installing any 3rd party software on phones.
I wish to install a custom rom (Cyanengine mod 12 Android L 5.0.2) onto my phone and possibly a custom kernel to improve the battery life. I believe I have to root to do this as well?
One of my worries is that I could brick my phone. If I do this , is it fixable? What order should I go about installing the modifications? Root, rom , kernel? Root, kernel , rom? Also what is TWRP? Sorry for the amount of questions, but I would be really grateful if some one could explain the process, and any thing I should avoid.
Thanks Again
regards
Tom

First you must root. Then you should install TWRP. TWRP is just an option you give your phone to do many things like flashing (placing) programs to your phone, backing up everything (Including your current ROM, data, apps, etc.), and deleting everything and wiping your device.
Bricking is possible, but if you follow a guide step-by-step you shouldn't. TWRP should be a major priority. You must root first, then you can do that. This custom recovery will allow you to backup everything. If you brick your phone, TWRP is your only way out BUT YOU WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A BACKUP TO UNDO IT.
I wouldn't worry about a custom kernel because with root you will have access to so many options that you can customize your phone to use less battery.
Therefore, you should root, install TWRP, then install Cyanogenmod 12. There are so so so many guides for doing these and a quick google search will get you right into it.
Send me a message if you have specific questions -- I'd be glad to help you out. I was in your shoes not too long ago as well.
Hope this helps!

Questions about BL unlock and rooting on 8.1

Hey guys. I'm sorry to ask the same question again (like others do) but i'm really confused. Today my pixel xl will arrive. I will unlock the bootloader, flash twrp and put a custom rom on it. I thought about lineageos 15.1. In the rom thread are advices that you have to be on 8.1. before everything will work smoothly. So my work process will be - wait for 8.1 OTA and then start all the processes.
But in some thread there's a warning that rooting will be difficult and in some others that there's no problem.
I really don't know what's the best way to do all this before something goes wrong. Can anybody help me out?

Can I flash Lineage OS on my ATT Note 10+?

Hello everyone,
It's been awhile since I've been on Android and now that I'm back it doesn't really seem to me like there's any use of flashing roms now as most phones are useable. The only reason I can see is debloat with or w/o root. Anywho, my question I'm trying to ask is am I able to flash Lineasge OS on my Note 10+ N975U? I tried looking for my answer but all I run across is people requesting to flash ATT firmware for Volt LTE to work and etc.
Thanks!

In order to flash a custom rom you need to be able to unlock the bootloader. Same applies with rooting the device or flashing a custom recovery.
Since we can not flash a custom recovery, root the device or unlock the bootloader then your answer is no.
