Good evening, firstly sorry for my english i use google translate!
It's been 2 days that I can not do the update just like you and I want to find the solution, looking for a solution so here is the solution! do not hesitate to share it because I try a lot of things before getting there but without success!
To start just follow this tutoriel : Sources !
Once finished, you just have to install on the store "Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor" launch and follow the steps ( It is essential to go through the application first, I tried without and it did not work (error code during the search) )! Once the application is closed just run a search for update normally from the settings, It worked for me after 2days of different attempt, the phone first downloaded me an update and I was still under 8.1, once restarted it found me a second update that made it pass on windows 10!
Good luck

UPDATE:
After googling and searching finally I found the culprit, I don't need to upgrade my OS, just upgrade Windows Media Player into version 11. And work like a charm >__< I rarely using WMP so I don't need to upgrade it.

I don't want to root my phone at the moment but I use other computer that have Windows 7 and no problem at all. Thx.
SOLVED
Solved with just upgrade Windows Media Player 11
I purchased 3 FTVs for my home net purely to run xbmc and dont have a lot of interest in amazon prime or the stock FTV setup.
2 of the 3 boxes were fine, blocked updates on my net, rooted, disabled updates, XBMC on, everything worked great. Still need to do some tweaking but all good.
1 of the 3 boxes already knew of the update, and is trying to get it, but is of course blocked. As I have never booted it, I have no way to know what FW its on now.

I have tried waiting of course.. Tried pulling the network cable after it finds the DHCP and before 'checking for updates' (actually doesnt say that it seems to already 'know').
Is there a way of resetting the knowledge of the update ??
What is my best course of action with the greatest probability of securing root ??
Is there a way of stopping an update if I let my router connect to the update links ?? As I have never done that I dont know how the process goes ??
Or is there a way of on the first boot, when it updates, enabling ADP and rooting and disabling before the next boot (I read this works but perhaps not in this situation, eg from a normal boot not a first boot).
Lastly, I am not in the US, I dont know if it will even allow me to get the updates outside of there and I cant VPN via my router.. Which would lead to a useless if not bricked FTV stuck in a loop of an update it cant get.
Sorry for the Qs.. I did search but theres a lot of variables and one mistake could lose root on this box, where possibly the right combination or sequence can preserve it.
http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-unbr...ry-mode-and-factory-reset-the-amazon-fire-tv/
Just did this.. With a reset of user data and cache.. really thought it would it would work..
Booted.. had to discover the remote.. then.. Exactly the same.. Update detected (blocked with openDNS) and in the same loop ??
Can I block update system by ADP ?? Given the recovery option of update by ADP, is that any use here ??
hello there,
i own a non lumia basic windows phone (lava iris win1) and always wants to upgrade it to windows 10
while searching on google and xda for few days i managed to install windows 10
i am too lazy for typing so i am giving tutorial links that i followed HERE
i've used the custom patching method and recommend it
also the registry values given in this tutorial is for spoofing the device to lumia 830. but i used registry values of lumia 535 dual sim (almost similar hardware with my phone , use according to your phone) that can be found using below image at lumiafirmware.com

KNOWN ISSUE IN MY PHONE - MAJOR ISSUE IS BATTERY DRAINING FAST EVEN IN STANDBY , OTHER ISSUES ARE NOT SO RELEVENT AND BEARABLE ( LAGGING AND APP CRASH SOMETIMES )
DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK
IF YOU WANT TO DOWNGRADE AGAIN TO WINDOWS PHONE 8.1 REPLY TO THIS THREAD I'LL MAKE A NEW THREAD FOR IT
Followed it and successfully got latest red-stone build. but as you said battery drain is huge problem. just wanted to know if i go back to 8.1 again will it fix battery problem ? because i have tried that before in September last year and it couldn't fix that problem.

Hi everyone,
This is regarding my ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE551ML (1.8 GHz CPU, 4 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM). A few days ago, after 1 year and 11 months of excellent service, suddenly I saw that some of the apps (Play Music, ASUS MiniMovie) were corrupted. But a simple uninstall and reinstall fixed them. Later that day, I was about to open settings when a message popped up "Unfortunately, settings has stopped". Rebooting the phone did not fix it and I was totally stuck as I was unable to clear the data also for the settings app which also requires "Settings" to function. I managed to do a factory reset after which, I could not even get to the home screen because that involves the Settings app as well.

I went on to proceed with factory reset from the recovery mode and to my shock, the recovery mode was also corrupted. Screen just froze with a USB logo. I tried to flash the recovery with xFSTK but got write error.
Then I took apart the device and cooled the flash memory (SK hynix manufactured) with some IPA.
The device booted up and was able to get to the home screen. Then I followed the ASUS standard downgrade procedure to downgrade the device from Marshmallow to Lollipop (which should force flashing of the recovery as well and everything). Phone was stable then. Then following ASUS standard upgrade procedure, I upgraded to Marshmallow and did a factory reset again. Set up everything and phone is rock stable now, performs good as new with no slow downs or anything.
My question is "What exactly happened?" It was never rooted and very well taken care of (even looks like new). Is the flash memory failing? Can the firmware get corrupted on its own?
Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hello I am also having the same issue? Can you please explain more about the way you have recovered. I love my Asus Zenfone2. I am trying to do Factory RESET which causes this issue. Do you mean, use IPA to clean the Memory side? Please help me. My email ID is [email protected]
Firstly, try to flash it with xFSTK using the tutorial here on XDA. If it fails, then you need to take the phone apart.

System Update
Your suggestion helped my Nokia Lumia 2520 RT 8.1. The system even though jail broken in Test Mode was allowing update notification, which never happened. Now with turning on Auto instead of Manual, has been updating for the last 2 hours, periodically restarting. Programs such as Flipboard that did not work have started working like a charm.
Thank you so much.
Your welcome
