Hi Everyone,
recently on reddit there was a topic on a weird popup when trying to share anything from the camera app. I dug in and found its possibly a bug with the camera app or the build.prop.
does this problem exist on any other variant? I have the ULM model bought from Project Fi, but i'm curious to see if other variants are affected.
the first picture is of the popup, the second is the menu in camera for sharing that causes the popup to appear
Just wanted to post an update.
Looks like the september security update fixes the build.prop so that this doesn't happen anymore

I noticed that this problem was relatively prevalent with the G3 and that there were a few threads a while ago, but those went unresolved.
Except for a factory reset, has anyone found a work around with this issue? I only just noticed it happening with my ATT G3 when I rooted it...
I'm not sure if that's the issue. I also replaced the regular media profiles xml file with the one that is modded, as I heard that may help, but it did not.
Is there a workaround for this?
Same BS....different day

Seriously, how can a brand new phone right out of the box have the native camera app crash indefinitely until LG and Verizon (among other carriers) roll out a patch 6-9mo later if we are lucky!?
I'm so pissed about this it isn't even remotely entertaining. Can you install 3rd party camera apps? Yes. Are they full of bloatware and not as simple and streamlined to use? Yes, usually. It is just ridiculous. I'm un-rooted and within 2 weeks this was happening. What a @##$%-show.
Can't believe this hasn't been addressed. There is this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/app-xcam-lg-v5-1-0-t2873604. It didn't work for me though. Still crashes even after following the directions to a "T". Even paid for it and nothing changed. So, I got a refund.

Upon further attempt, I did get the XCam app and settings to finally work. So, the link above does actually give you the streamlined app with modifications and ability to save to SD (after purchasing the settings app, rooting, and applying the SDFix app). I must have missed a step.
Still SUCKS that the native LG app is broke.
Had the same problem, now fixed with latest update

What does that mean? What latest update? I saw your post from that link and you state v10 h...what does that mean? Maybe an OTA update from your carrier? I have Verizon, I assume we are not battling the same thing here regarding LG G3 for Verizon.

That would be the last firmware that LG released for the international version of G3 (D855). I assume that all carriers base their updates on the official updates from LG.

Ahhh, ok. So, obviously I can't get updates for this phone unless Verizon rolls that out, correct? Not like I can download something independently from LG and upgrade it right? Other than custom ROM. Which I may be closing in on. I did have good luck with the XCam app though...it uses the base LG camera app but tweaks the @#[email protected]!# out of it. It has worked nicely once I finally got it going, if anyone stumbles upon this.

All you have to do is disable OK Google Hotword detection in the Google app. You could still use the feature through Nova Launcher if you're using it but that will solve the problem. It was a huuuuuge relief for me when I found that.
"OK, Google" crashes the app!?

So, I disabled the hotword feature in the Google app under the voice settings and enabled in Nova Launcher (love this launcher btw) and lo and behold it appears that the native camera app actually indeed works again, with zoom. I haven't really used video yet.
In all fairness I haven't used the native camera app in a while and I've been using the XCam app workaround (which has been great, I almost like the interface better), so I'm not sure if this indeed worked or not. On a side-note I don't have the "Ok, Google" feature actually working from the Nova Launcher (it is enabled) but I could care less as I just go to the actual Google app and then say "Ok, Google" and it of course works from there. Thanks for the help man....

Okay so I have a problem on my OnePlus 3. I don't really know if this is Oneplus, OOS or Android related, but I have these weird issues with Picture Previews. When I'm cropping a picture, it just shows this super tiny part of the actual image. When I then Crop the picture in this super tiny part, the result is a more or less normal cropped picture, so the problem only lies in the preview.

I posted screenshots on Imgur, because im fairly new to xda developers and I can't really handle xdas Post settings.
I'm running rooted OOS v.3.2.4. Android 6.0.1. I already tried installing another Gallery App, uninstalling the built-in Google Photos and then reinstalling it, and of course I rebooted several times.
I'm hoping anyone can help me or fix this issue, because I didn't find anything on google
Hi, a few days ago I manually checked for updates on my Galaxy A7 2017 and found a new update was available. I updated immediately, since it was the first update I received in a long time, and was excited with the new features this update was supposed to bring. (Selfie Focus, mask effects, etc.), but none of these appeared as an option, I'm able to download mask filters, but when I try to use them, nothing happens.
My device jumped from October 2017 security revision to February 2018, so that maybe has something to do?
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone could help me with this, I've already deleted the app data from the stock camera, with no results, so I was wondering if anyone had an apk file to share or any other solutions.

I've already checked, no updates are available.
Today's October security update brought changes to the SMS app compose box area. Now to the left of the compose area a toggle appears which reveals the camera, gallery and Samsung apps chooser menu.
I haven't noticed any other changes so far.

I got the October patch on November 1st. I am pretty sure it was just security patches. I have noticed better battery life on my G960U1 S9 but that could just be me.
I think there is also an extra LTE bar now. Other than that I think that's it.

I've also noticed in messages that if you use words like "today" or "tomorrow" it hyperlinks it like Facebook messenger does. I'm curious if the changes to the messages app is starting toward the adoption of RCS messaging.
Another subtle change in the Device Care screen, different graphics now.

I just read in the Samsung Members app that users of the S10 are complaining about this feature being turned on by default, without an option to turn it off. In my case I haven't seen links to other apps when typing words as "today" or "Monday" for example.

OK, my bad! I just tested my Messages app and indeed I'm getting links as you mentioned.
Anyone on Tmobile? Since updating to J2 all of my phones have horrible call quality.
Hi,
Just got a new LG G7. When I first used the AI cam feature - I was seeing tags of the things it was recognizing.
After upgrading to Android 9 - I don't see it the tags anymore.
Is this was removed as part of the upgrade or I messed something up with the configurations?
Someting on your phone.. Works for me
Any idea what can cause it?
Is there any configuration to disable it or uninstalling some app \ permissions can cause it?
It's built in the camera app so I have no clue
