Alright so I have always used bodyguardz screen protectors for all my devices so I figured I'd get one for my pixel 3 xl too. Well it's garbage so I need suggestions and figured others would find this info useful. All that said, let's get some suggestions and reviews going and see who's got the best product out there.
Here is the fit of Bodyguardz protector. Garbage as you can see.

I get the feeling that Whitestone Dome will be our only practical option like with the 2 XL. Whatever I got from Amazon is hot garbage as well.

Honestly, I think I would be okay with that. It's much better than the ones with the adhesive only on the sides. Thank you for the pics.
I agree. Given the current terrible alternatives, I think the bodyguardz protector is the best bet to hold us over until Whitestone releases a protector for the 3 XL.
Does anyone have a link for the bodyguardz protector? I can't find it on Amazon.

Yeah, with how well the Whitestone protectors did on the 2 XL, I find it very hard to believe they aren't going to do something for the 3 XL, as well. I'm planning on going with a sub-par protector just to hold me over for a month or so, until Whitestone or something similar is released for a more long term solution.

Is the zagg full adhesive? I thought I read somewhere it was. Between that and the $45 process tag and skipped right past considering it.

It's full adhesive and way over priced but I got it with a deep discount. I manage our work Verizon account and picked it up while ordering some other hardware for staff. It does overlap some where the screen curves so there are places it does not stick but covers the viewable screen area. Zagg also includes an alignment tool so that is nice but in short I wouldn’t recommend it at this price point. I’ll try to get some pictures alter today.

Yeah the price is ridiculous. But thanks for the info. I’d be curious to see the pics and see exactly how it fits. I just can’t believe how much these manufacturers are missing the mark... I’ve never bought a screen protector before from either that doesn’t actually fit the intended device

I love the ArmorSuit screen protectors. I've been using them since the 6P, after the previous brand I used disappeared, and haven't looked back since. They're thin, fit well with no size/cut issues, have no orange peel effect, rainbowing, etc.
Caught it this morning, but if you order through Amazon, their case friendly fit is dirt cheap, too. $3. Wish this was active last night when I placed an order through their website. Hopefully I get mine shipped soon because the TGSP I got as a temp doesn't fit with a case, and isn't cut properly to account for the slightly curved edges.

I think it will be whitestone also. Mine on the 2 XL was great. I tried the Verizon one for short term protection. They tried to put it on twice but both resulted in raised edges so they are going to refund it. Whitestone tweed this AM they will have it in Nov. https://twitter.com/whitestonedome/status/1053272064881254400
I bought these until Whitestone comes out. I was actually quite surprised how good they were. I mean it's not perfect but full adhesive. Sticks good on the edges. Coating isn't bad.
I'm a screen protector snob and I'm almost okay with it. $7.00 for 3 of them makes a great temporary until Whitestone comes out.

This is great news!
My phone arrives today. I have an IQ Shield tempered glass protector here waiting. However, the reviews of it have started rolling in and they are HORRIBLE (Amazon link). It's so bad that Amazon stopped selling it.
So last night I went up to a Verizon store and picked up one of their pricey tempered glass protectors. It's only going to cover the usable area of the display and probably won't stick in some places, but it will hold me over until Whitestone releases their solution.
I've always used the Spigen GLASS.t protectors but they're not out yet for the Pixel 3. In the mean time, I'm using this ESR Tempered Glass protector...
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H8ZNZJ8
Despite the negative reviews, it's working perfectly for me. I'm using the Google Fabric case with it and my only issue there is that the case lip isn't tall enough so when you put the phone down face down, it's the protector that's resting on the surface. We'll see how long the protector holds up.
I got the SuperShieldz screen protector (2-pack). It's utter garbage. Doesn't fit properly and interferes with touch.
I also tried the Tektide protector. It's slightly better touch-wise, but somehow it covers the ambient light sensor so the screen is always dim. Also, the adhesive is pretty ppor.
Both were cheap, but definitely no long-term solution.

Saw this on ebay today. Was wondering if anyone has tried it out yet. It seems similar to the one sgp is coming out with.

Why bash this company and say SGP was first? This company could have been first they are actually shipping now not just taking pre-orders. I first saw this protector on ebay around the same time the SGP was posted on here so who knows who was first?
I have no affiliation with them I'm just saying there is no point in saying it's not unique when they are the first company SHIPPING one so it actually is unique

Strange, before it said pre-order rather than add to cart
Might have been overwhelmed because of preorders, hence the long expected ship time. Either way I'd love to see a review on the Tridea, but SGP makes some high quality products, especially screen protectors.
Also, it is available on Amazon. It's $11.99

This has a good price but the sgp covers under the button and above the speaker. Wish this one did, I'd try it.
Fwiw. The sgp dealer i ordered from told be they had issues with the first batch that came in and that they are going to have to cut a new match which might cause further dealay.

I got mine today and they were a little difficult to align properly but not bad. You have to press on the edges several times to get them to stick but if your persistent they will stay down. The clarity is pretty good. When the screen is off there are some weird looking sport that almost look like orange peel but they are smooth and you cannot feel them. When the screen is on you cannot see these spots at all. These are just my first thoughts. I will report back in a few days to see if the edges stay down.
Overall I am pretty happy with the protector. They are much better than the straight ones that don't stick to the edges.
Amazon no longer has this screen protector. I was just about to order it too.

SGP failed with first batch of "Curved Crystal"
Then SGP failed with first batch of Neo Hybrid.
Goodness, are they testing it out on a customers?
p.s. Tridea owners, any comments on a subject?
Are these worth it? Seem to be the cheapest screen protectors for the quality?
http://www.xprotections.com/products/Google_Nexus_5_Screen_Protector_Premium_Tempered_Glass.htm
$3.15 + $4 shipping = $7.15. Still the lowest price for tempered glass I've ever seen. They also have for another model like Samsung S5 or iPhone 5S.
No review yet. Pretty much new company. From China of course. (not surpised when it come to this price). Look around and OMG, price start at $2. I know this may be crap but seriously, this is so cheap, dirt cheap.
Some infos I found from this company:
http://www.gcoupon.com/view/companies/248074/Xprotections.html
From Mar 2014.
Short review:
The package was fine. The glass have oleophobic coating for sure. This glass fit very well in my screen without any bubble, not like a Nillkin. Just remove my Nillkin and apply without any issues. For someone who said the nexus 5 screen is a hole's problem, not the Nillkin glass, I am highly doubt it. In fact, I may got a lemon with this Nillkin. Anyway, the screen is perfect fit and so smooth. I am so satisfied.
The quality is solid. Below is a picture of this glass's thickness. I cannot say much about it's quality now as I just received it today, will update the review after few weeks using. But first impression was good and nothing to complain
It came with cleaning kit like other tempered glass.
The shipping speed was fast. It's China Post Air Mail but only 9 days (include weekend).
I can say with this price range this thing is amazing value. Highly recommend.
Here are some picture when I open the package. Sorry I don't have a camera to make a vid when apply it, but this thing is pretty similar like Nillkin glass. I will get more photo when I borrow one from my bro.

I got a Nillkin too, but after about 10 times applied and re-applied my screen still had a big hole in the bottom (not affect the screen view), which is so annoying for me so I got this to replace. If this sucks I lost 7 bucks and apply the Nillkin back. After all it's just 7 bucks. I suggest you guys get this as a backup. Well, Nillkin was originally China product but it's proved to be good brand until now. With this unbeatable price this one may worth a try.
And btw, Paypal accepted.
that website is super shady. no ssl at all, plain order forms, no email verification, domain registered to "mr protector screen".
no thanks, but good luck.

You do know that the bubble at the bottom of the screen is because the Nexus 5 screen is not 100% flat right? It is not because of the Nillkin screen protector. It happens with all of the tempered glass screen protectors. You just need to really rub it out hard or use a small clamp with soft cloth between the clamp and screen.
Just do a search here and you'll see pretty much everyone having this problem regardless of which screen protector they are using.
Anyone running this?

I do. Just got an e-mail from them say my glass had been shipped. Will do a review whenever I got it.
Usually these cheap screen protectors come without any oleophobic coating on it which makes the screen/glass very tough to glide your finger over.

Just received my glass today from them. A short review was updated.
There are plenty of sub-$5 glass screen protectors on eBay. Don't think you can go wrong with any. Although some have three cutouts instead of two...
Can I order it in India??? Have someone ordered this from India??

I actually have ordered screen protectors from this website for my cousins' iphone 5s and galaxy s5 and they say that the glass seems to be holding up pretty well. I actually plan on ordering one as well just to replace my nillikin just in case it breaks. How are the edges? Are the rounded just like the nillikin? Just wondering because that's the only way for me to get my case to fit properly.

Agree to this it is not an issue with the protector but rather the nexus screen itself as the tempered glass does not stick at the bottom we need to press to apply it properly whereas in some nexus it just fit smooth

Except now that one plus has encountered MORE delays (truly unbelievable with how few devices they are shipping out right now) it looks like I'll have my screen cover from the UK before I have the phone lol
So got this screen protector in the mail.... took about 5 business days to get to utah, WHICH as it turns out is faster than One plus was able to get me my phone... ya i have a phone protector from the uk shipping standard a day before i get my phone shipped from california, both ordered on the same day.
Screen protector feels great, i'll be able to actually install it and see how it fits today. BUT after seeing the packaging i realized i've ordered from these guys before. I bought a tempered glass screen protector for my wifes nexus 5, it is WONDERFUL. aside from having the same smooth feel the glass underneath has (compared to the sticky plastic polymer that i'm used to with zagg and those guys).
My absolute favorite feature of the tempered screen protectors is the slight radius/round they put on all the edges. Simply WONDERFUL, because android makes use of a lot of its edges and it just pains me to get caught up on a sharp edge.

Hi,
Received mine today also. Install went great and so far so good. For the price I think
this is a steal. I paid $35 for a Spigen for my S4 last year.

Just ordered both after receiving my oneplus invite today. Thanks for the heads up

Orzly make a great glass screen protector for the Moto G. I smashed one (saved the screen, but its almost invisible and has lovely rounded edges
Anyone have pics of their One+ One with a tempered glass screen protector. I'm trying to have all of my accessories ready so that I can start using the phone right away -- once I receive it.
Where did you order it?
Just ordered the glass and the softcase for the OPO. Any one got any reviews on these?

Hi,
The glass install went smooth and easy. I use the scotch tape method.
Line up the protector on the screen first, then use 2 pieces of tape on the right side
of phone to hold in place. Then lift the left side and remove the bottom cover and then just flip back slowly
over the screen. I think I had 2 bubbles near the edge which came out easily.

Great idea with the tape
How do you rate the protector, do you think it would withstand the keys and scissors that you see in the videos?
Are you using a case at all?
Could do with something for the rear camera lens as these always seem to get scratched.
here ya go! http://www.amazon.com/Protector-Spi...d=1411173934&sr=8-1&keywords=spigen+glas+moto
But how does it fit? There seems to be a problem with some of protectors out there that they are not fitting 100%.

As far as I know. But, I'm sure once Spigen releases theirs, all the copy cats will be releasing their versions short after. But if you want to wait for at least another month, then go for it lol. I'm happy with my official ones that resist fingerprints.
it says on the box 28% thinner.. Thinner than what exactly? Its their first release!
Just got an email from Spigen today. They Amazon page said shipping on 30 September, and I ordered it. But Spigen says they won't be shipping until mid-October. They gave me a code for 30% of anything from their store for my being inconvenienced.
Spigen is a trustworthy brand, you can count on them to get it right. I've purchased tempered glass protectors as well as their cases for the past couple years, and many others will vouch for them. As for the whole 28% thinner thing its them marketing themselves as the thinnest glass protection available.
zagg has a screen protector for 14.99 just in case anybody wanted something less expensive...i found one for 75 cents! ehe
Just ordered one (the Spigen, not the Zagg). Supposedly ships 10/15.
I currently have the official Moto one, so I'll be sure to let everyone know how it compares.

Is it possible to review the protector when you get it? I still can't decide which one to get.
Yes, I'll be reviewing it, and comparing it to the official Moto protector, which is what I have now.
I'm patiently waiting for reviews. I've got tempered glass on all my devices. I've got the Spigen in my Amazon cart. Just waiting to pull the trigger.

same here! waiting for a real life review
Okay, here's my short (yeah, right) and sweet review:
I ordered the Spigen GLAS.tR SLIM product from Amazon. I got the email that it shipped on 10/9, and I got the product via USPS mail on 10/16, so it definitely ships via budget (i..e. slow) shipping. However, since it wasn't even supposed to ship until 10/15, I was pretty happy.

The packaging is pretty nice, and contains everything needed to protect the product, and the tools needed to install it.
From the picture, you can see it comes with cleaning wipes, squeegee, a card containing a serial number, little dust-removal stickers, instructions, and the protector itself. The first step of the instructions say to wipe the screen with "the micro-fiber cloth," but one wasn't included. I'm not sure if one was supposed to be there or not, but luckily, I have my own.
The protector went on super easy, although I have to say, it's not as easy as you'd think getting one small circle completely centered on another. I'm not ashamed to admit that it took a couple tries. Fortunately, the protector has two protective films, one for the front and one for the back, and the front one has a couple tabs you can kind of use to hold it, so that you can see the entire circle. That front one also allows you to squeegee the bubbles out (although I didn't really have any), and press down on the protector without fear of scratching anything.
But I'm sure all that you really want to know is, "How does it feel?" Well... it's thick. Noticeably thick. It supposedly has a curved upper ridge so that your fingers will just slide right over the edge, but if it does, it either doesn't work, or I'd hate to see how it'd feel without it. My fingers definitely feel that ridge every time I'm swiping from the extreme edge.
That's not to say that it's annoying, but it does take some getting used to. My official Moto protector didn't seem to get cut quite right, and it had a spot about 45 degrees long (in a 360 degree circle) where the edge could literally be seen when looking straight down. Even at that spot, which is the only place I could really feel it, it still wasn't nearly as noticeable as this Spigen protector.
On the flip side, I had my Moto protector for about 3 weeks, and already ended up with a couple scratches on it. I have a feeling that this Spigen protector will be a bit harder to scratch (although I haven't had it long enough to really say), so there's your trade-off.
Get past the edge though, and this protector definitely feels like the original glass. I thought my Moto protector was smooth, and it may certainly be in my head, but this one does feel a bit smoother. However, it also seems to be a bit stickier in certain situations, such as when your finger is slightly wet... as it would with the original glass.
Fingerprints don't seem to be an issue, and just wipe away with my shirt, but I can definitely say that they wiped away a bit easier on the Moto protector. I think that's because the Moto protector wasn't quite as clear, and hid the post-wipe smudges a bit better. Speaking of clarity... wow, this Spigen is clear. When I turn my 360 to a relatively sharp angle to my eyes, the Moto protector would seem to "fog" just a bit, making it really stand out. Not so with the Spigen. No matter the angle, you can see the edge, but otherwise, it's completely invisible. The clarity really just doesn't compare.
Here are a couple pictures that show the thickness of the two protectors. Sorry, I didn't have my SLR with its macro lens available, so I took these with my phone, but I think you can still tell the difference. See if you can tell which one is which.
Spoiler:
The bottom one is the Spigen.
To summarize, I'd say that the Spigen is definitely the better protector, compared to the Official Moto protector. Its only strike is that it is noticeably thick, and you will definitely catch that edge from time to time when swiping. However, it's certainly clearer, and since the Moto protector is relatively soft plastic, I'm sure the Spigen is more durable and scratch resistant (although, I can't say for certain on that last item).
I think you'd be happy with either protector, and the cost difference is very small between the two kits, making them very comparable. However, you do get two Moto protectors for the $15 list price, vs one Spigen protector for the $20-ish Amazon price, making the Moto the better deal on paper. Factor in clarity and durability though, and the Spigen is definitely a contender.
Thanks for the review! When I applied the $15 one I didn't notice much difference in clarity, but maybe I didn't have my glasses on. The thing is, we generally don't apply screen protectors to watches. The two reasons why I applied one are 1) Protecting the resale value. And 2) the finger print is definitely way less noticeable on the protector than the original glass.
Did you notice a difference in the oleophobic coating department?

Thanks for the review. I have been using the Spigen Glas.Tr for my Galaxy S4 and Note 3, never look back at plastic screen protectors ever since! I have gotten the Moto Care Kit, but the Spigen will definitely be in the next Moto 360 accessories list for me.
Oh a quick one, what about screen sensitivity, especially at the edge when you swipe, say Wear Mini Launcher? Was it sensitive enough when you pull the drawer from the edge?
Are you going to get a Tempered Glass Screen Protector for your Pixel 3? I might give caseology a try on this one but I'm probably going to wait at least a month to see reviews.
For now I'm going to try this

These flexible glass screen protectors have been a game changer for me.

I prefer thin cases and traditional tempered glass is so thick that it sticks up beyond the lip of my case. These protect like glass, but flex just enough to not shatter on the first drop.
I am not affiliated with Brotect in any way. Just sharing my experience.
Until Whitestone Dome comes out with a screen protector for the Pixel 3/XL (or Belkin joins the Made for Google gang), you can pretty much guarantee that all options are going to provide a sub-optimal experience (rainbow effect, smaller than the viewable display, weak and visible adhesive, etc).
I've ordered the Verizon branded one so it's ready for when my phone arrives. I'm not optimistic in the least bit, but it's some sort of protection until hopefully Whitestone drops some love on the P3.

I hope you're right that Whitestone Dome comes out with their own version for the pixel 3. I love the one that's on my pixel 2 XL. It's perfect no bubbles
I too purchased the Verizon glass screen protector for my Pixel 3 but, when WhiteStone comes out with theirs I will def buy. Had one on my S9 and it was the total best experience for a glass screen protector. As long as you follow the directions and have patience it far outweighs any other protector with regard to clarity, screen adhesion, and toughness.
My Pixel 3 XL arrived this am sooner than expected. Was thinking of stoping by the Verizon Store to see if they have any of theirs in stock until something solid starts to surface. I have Whitestone on XL 2. It's shattered and cracked but great!! I ordered a Bodyguard but thinking of canceling it. Anyone got pics of anything installed? IntelliArmor, Verizon, etc.? Already seeing the cheap China brand reviews pop up on Amazon as bunk. Just hoping something is decent since the curve seems not so extreme.
Installed the Verizon protector last night and have to say it's not bad at all. I like that it has adhesive all over vs just the edges, so no rainbow effect. Took my time to align with masking tape (make sure the screen is lit when you do it) and I'm very happy with the end result. I had bubbles that wouldn't initially go away, but figured they would once the screen warmed up (and they did). The fit is also great, covers all of the viewable display.
I'd say this one is a winner (esp. for the price).

Do your edges lift? I stopped in a store yesterday and let them apply it. It does not stick around all the side edges and a few places on the bottom and top edges.

Did they use a template to apply it or guesstimate the application? I had mine arrive in the mail so I installed it myself. I don't have any lifting on the edges. You can try to warm up your screen by having it play a video for 20-30 mins then try pressing down on the edges that are coming up. Might work.

Nah, he eyeballed it. He also had to pull it and reset it a few times so I think he exceeded the capacity of the adhesive to handle it. I can take it in and let them try again or get a refund. Good to know there is a chance it can stick. I might hit it with a hair dryer today. I agree with you looks like it should stick.
I know it's not tempered glass but the LK wet install screen protector fits very well and the install is easy (for a wet install).
I generally don't like these type of screen protectors, but thought this would be a good quick option to hold me over until better ones are available.
I just received the iq shield 9h blah blah blah, from Amazon, and it came right back off. Worse than an old otterbox. I'll be returning it on Monday. It doesn't touch at all at the top and bottom, and barely in the middle.
I really liked their liquid skin on my one plus 3, will be going back to a soft screen protector.
Used tempered glass on my old n4 and n6 and never looked back. Tried to give the cover on the poetic case a chance for a day but I just didn't feel it had the same protection if I kept keys in my pocket. Might prevent surface scratches but would not re-distribute pressure along the entire screen if it ever pushed too hard against it. tempered glass protectors are on the way.
Is anyone using the ZAGG InvisibleShield Glass+ for the regular Pixel 3 and can give some feedback?
