MIUI 10 8.9.20: "Request stable rom update" notification - Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Questions & Answers

I had a very interesting notification appear tonight. Have a look at the screenshot, it's in Chinese and I have no idea what is going on, can anyone translate? Maybe this means MIUI 10 Stable is on the way...
Thanks

I got it too. If someone that reads Chinese can translate it to english that would be very helpful. Especially the part about ROOT. Thank you in advance.

Also if you choose applied another message later will pop up saying automatic update when not busy - accept or decline.

Translated loosely...

Thanks! Seeing as I'm unrooted with locked bootloader there should be no risk from applying so I did, and declined auto updates.
I'll report back if something happens

Keep us posted. Thank you.

Hi, are your devices locked Chinese or Global?
Thanks
Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk

Locked Chinese. But it's okay. I went from beta to stable via recovery rom. I'm now stable.

Yeah my japanese is so bad that I didn't noticed that it is chinese. Go figure
i've download this ROM, I don't have major problem, but there's a small problem which bugs me:
I had to remove the battery if I turn on the machine while connected to computer, because it stucks at the startup screen before animation.
performance-rise, before applying one-click-lag-fix, the quadrant benchmark score was around 900. after that, it's still slightly shy of 2000.
I had been using the I9000XXJP3 ROM, but there wasn't a Chinese input so I downgraded back to an eclair ROM, until today. This ROM resembles mostly the XXJP3 ROM.
There's a couple of things which makes me feel that this Froyo ROM is not an official Hong Kong ROM.
1) I'm aware that some of the chinese in the sysyem was simplified characters instead of traditional.
2) There was no Hong Kong supplementary characters in the default input method, contrary to the Hong Kong official 2.1 ROMs.
Wow, I'm from HK so will definitely try this out when I get home

After all this wait myself and im sure others were hoping fora froyo build with JIT fully enabled thus giving us a benchmark of about 1400 without lag fix..

Members' only download with password protection though. you might as well find a login on BugMeNot.com
So far, I have no intention to downgrade back to 2.1, but I might do so if I find more bugs in addition to the boot bug.

What about theX9007 platform?
This is great news about a new, stable release, but everything says it is for the X9006 only. Myself and others have the X9007. I use my X9007 in Europe and the USA... and have no intention of using LTE in China. If I flash this, will I essentially have the X9006?
I am currently running the last X9006 beta that was OK to flash on the X9007. All my cell networks are working fine, including LTE. If I do this, will I need to perform a special modem flash for baseband... or only if I want a "Chinese" phone? Everything I have always heard is that both phones are exactly the same hardware.

[Moto X Force] Marshmallow Rollout

Hello community, while googling for information about the release of Marshmallow for the X Force I found the Release Notes for the Update:
https://motorola-global-en-aus.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/109337
I guess they will start rolling it out in Brasil, so I wanted to ask, if anyone has the brazilian version and if anyone has the update yet?
I just got the phone and am really looking forward to Marshmallow, as 5.1.1 really feels like a downgrade coming from 6.0 on my Nexus 5.
[Update 2015/12/18]
As it seems, the Update is rolling out in Europe as of today.
If someone who has rooted his force would be so nice to provide the Update.zip I would be really grateful, as my device still has not got the Update notification and I'm not the patient type
It is stored in the /cache Folder and you can only read that folder with root priviliges.

Here in Brazil already had experience installing ota India and Australia and worked well. But as the friend reported that tried to install the Brazilian in Mexico cell phone and did not work'll wait a few more days to see if it comes out the version of Brazil. If you install this version of Mexico in a cell with version EU think it should work
I tried to install the mexican version on my european X Force but it failed because of an invalid certificate.

Fair enough! I really wanted to flash this though. I even tried but it said its not compatible with my build number of something. I am on B132 right now. I guess waiting would be the only thing I should be doing for now. It's been so many days already. I am so curious to try out Nougat on my 6X. And it sucks cause before this I had a Moto G4 Plus with Nougat. I feel downgraded with Marshmallow on this!
The EMUI admin in facebook told me that the updates are being pushed gradually and stuffs. But then, why is it taking so damn long to receive it? I check updater every single morning after waking up but no luck so far. Kinda sick of this now!
Hope to get the official ota asap!

I just flashed the 320 via firmware finder and omg, it worked!!! The entire thing was done in like 1 hour. The security patch shows june 5th 2017 and i can see a lot of new features already. App twin seems cool and i am shocked to see the updater file too cause a lot of people complained about its disappearance after flashing. Its super stable and all the functions are working just fine. No data lost and smooth like anything!
The only drawback i found was not able to directly unlock to the homescreen via fingerprint due to Nougat's restrictions. So as of now, I have enabled the floating dock just for that lock screen button cause if u lock it from there, the fingerprint unlock works!
My 6X is so damn better now. I can also see a huge different in the battery as well as app opening performance. Loving the EMUI 5!
Thanks for that quick inspiration Gopi. Like you said, you never know until you try! I tried, and now I am surprised to see that the outcome was worth the risk.

Good question. Is xiaomi.eu 8.8.9 a lower version to your current Global ROM and will that trigger an arb brick. Ask one of our xiaomi.eu developers on their web forum. My phone came from tradingshenzen with an unlocked bootloader and xiaomi.eu 8.7.22. I had all the signal and connectivity problems that everyone else was reporting with the fake Global ROMs, so I installed STABLE China MIUI 9 using MiFlash to clean all partitions then flashed TWRP and xiaomi.eu 8.8.9 and the phone works like a charm. I haven't had a connection problem in Canada or the United States and consistently get LTE.
Interesting development. I booted in to the chinese rom that's part of installing that official global rom and I had full bars. Switched back to the global though, out of not wanting to deal with the chinese rom.

The global roms 9.6.4.0-9.6.6.0 have a broken modem.
as you dont have antirollback yet,
if you dont want Anti-rollback:
Flash china 8.8.9 via fastboot while selecting "clean all"
flash xiaomi.eu 8.9.20 via twrp
Have a good day

Oh, no, I definitely seem to have antirollback. I tried 8.8.9 but Fastboot said their was an ARB conflict. I think I thought I had no choice at some point.

So I followed this guide, but after that didn't help I tried 8.9.20. Now I can't get past the loading screen, but I don't know if that's just because I made a mistake or what.
Edit: I'm an idiot. I misunderstood what the .eu roms were. I'm dling 8.9.20 now.
