maximum all ROMs have volte enabled. if you're in roaming then you need to set ims settings in access point. and if you're not in roaming then you need to flash volte enabler zip present for lenovo p2. just search it

Thanks I will look into that appreciate your help will update on my progress

Which RR ROM did you install mate? I'm finding LOS 14.1 performance is sluggish and I'm experiencing kernel wakelock battery drains as well.
Keen to move to another ROM and kernel if necessary.

Sudden AOKP ROM problem ???

I had flashed AOKP 21/2 build. It was working great for a week with little overheat problem . Nothing serious though . But from today onwards it started restarting on its own. It happened couple of times and now all the bugs people have mentioned starting showing up. It makes that crackling sound when headphone is inserted and won't recognize it . Network won't come after the restart. That brightness fluctuation and almost everything. Does anyone has the same problem ? Cause for a week it was working great. even my video recording was fine.

Try AICP - https://forum.xda-developers.com/k5-plus/development/rom-k5-plus-t3536263
It is the most stable rom i found till now and VoLTE also works pretty well.

The modem you have installed must have come from a stock om with volte support in order to continue to enjoy volte on your custom rom. the custom roms do not provide anny modem software and hence if your stock rom did not have volte you will not have it after flashing a custom rom.

What was the last stock rom you tried? You must enable volte on stock rom and then flash custom rom else volte won't work (personal experience)
If you have twrp backup of stock then restore it, enable volte in settings and when you get volte sign (HD next to signal) goto twrp and wipe everything and flash custom rom

Was volte enabled with 4G sim inserted? You can flash this stock rom (use the one which is your variant) and enable VoLTE and once you get HD symbol (you have to make a reboot after enabling VoLTE) install custom rom

Sorry you just made me laugh there
I'm also sorry that I can't really help you since I do not have VOLTE in my Country.
Everything I know is what you said you have done already.
aka Flash Stock ZUI, enable Volte (try if its working), shutdown the device and flash a Custom ROM you like.
You could try to get your SIM in Slot 1 (if it isn't already) and then redo the process.
Also using QFIl to flash the latest Stock ZUI Version (I suggest you to use the Indian Version, this will lock your bootloader again)
And then redo the whole process.
Just change the sim slot. You are probably using it in Slot 2.

I am using it in sim1 slot only.
The problem started all of a sudden. I was using the AICP rom, then there was an OTA update from their end so i updated it ,but after that volte doesnot work. Then i changed many ROM's but nowhere volte works except the stock one(which is very ****ty).
Did anyone find a fix for this problem?
My solutions
1. Install nougat update from lenovo i.e 2.5
2. Then enable volte in sim settings
3. Then unlock the bootloader again
4. Install the twrp
5. Install AEX(my suggestion)
6. Install micro gapps
7. Then reboot and please let every process complete dont skip anything let the phone detect the Networks
8. Saying it once again dont skip or hurry while booting let it complete and then click next
9. After booting enable volte in sim settings enhanced 4g lte mode
10. If it doesn't work for you then try the vpn settings which i have attached as a screenshot with this post
There you go.
FYI
i an also having same problem.. i was using AEX and suddenly my VOLTE disappeared........then i have flash 4 to 5 ROMS but nothing worked.............but i have tried my friends JIO sim which is working in my mobile
now what should i do??

Same here. AEX messed it up, only solution is go flash stock Rom and then re-install whatever Rom you want.
Hay guys solution 100% working for zuk z2 plus Indian version
Switch off your phone
Remove sim slot
Put jio sim on slot 2 and other sim on slot 1
Switch on your phone
Disable volte from settings
Make a call from sim 1
Switch off mobile again
Remove sim slot put jio sim in slot 1
Switch on ur phone
Switch volte on
That's it
I did this just now and jio sim is working again
I saw this video on

VoLTE not working in any custom ROM that SUPPORTS it.

Hi, so the thing started less than about a month ago, I was using the official Xenon HD ROM and was using VoLTE just fine (Jio) but on day suddenly, VoLTE stopped working. I tried reinstalling the ROM, installing other ROMs and such stuff but had my exams so I just installed the official MIUI for the time being and VoLTE was working fine. I wanted to switch from MIUI so today I installed Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 and VoLTE didn't work. I tried installing the unofficial LineageOS 14.1 by Nijel8, VoLTE worked fine for a while, then I installed Magisk 14.0, rebooted and VoLTE stopped working yet again. I uninstalled Magisk, still no luck, then I clean flashed the same LineageOS ROM again but VoLTE remained broken.
I wanna ask, why can't I get VoLTE to work when the said ROMs have VoLTE support, with other users actually using it. Thanks, I don't wanna go bakc to MIUI
Never mind, I fixed it by adding ims in the APN type field in my APN settings as suggested by Room Danton
I have the same problem. Can you please tell me how to fix it?
could you explain yourself better, "how to" if possible? thank you

Just suggesting
I tried all the oreo ROMs (except Jaguar- well I installed it but didn't find some things according to my taste, so uninstalled it) , you can surely try it.. considering OP's work on jaguar nougat I am sure it will be good.
Anyway, coming back to question. I will say as of now-
1) AEX (most stable and bugless amongst all), only rear camera portrait mode as of now.
2) Validus (first to have both front and rear portrait mode), just 1-2 bugs like dt2w not working, lockscreen cannot be waken up using home button, only using power button, some heating while charging - compared to other ROMs), otherwise quite stable and good performing rom. I would have sticked to it if not for the bugs I mentioned above.
Here you have both's pros and cons.. upto you now.
Another stupid thread
Jaguar r14. The most stable rom for it. No doubts

are you a heavy user and what about sot
Try AICP 13.1 based on Android 8.1. It's working fine with GPS, VoLTE as of now! Been using it for a week now! Very smooth experience.
It's pointless to discuss about what ROM is the best, as most ROMs cater to different needs.
It's like a person asking what's the best food or what's the best religion. It's a subjective matter.
That being said, if you're just looking for recommendations for ROMs to try out, you'd first want to understand how you want your device to perform, i.e. how your use cases for the device are like.
If you are a heavy gamer, avoid LOS-based ROMs as they tend to cramp the device performance. Look for Vulcan-enabled ROMs if you use emulators like PPSSPP.
If you are a person who focuses on long lasting battery, some of the minimal ROMs like Omni or Validus will help you out.

Try to update the baseband . I'm using Baseband 2.0.079 . Even before I updated the baseband Volte was fine with JIO sim.
Try to use this link for the baseband 2.0 and don't worry , the phone vibrates too much while boot.

Volte loosing issue in oreo roms

i have tried each and every oreo rom available for lenovo p2 and using jio roaming
i am facing volte loosing issue after certain reboots in every rom,
i tried swapping sim cards, flashing stock rom using fastboot and did all the ota updates, tried adding ims to apn type, adding some build prop lines and also tried vreating new apn ! still no success
not facing same issue in los by code elixir but dont want to use it as it has less customizations.
any other solution available for this problem ?
i know most of the developers dont use volte so dont care much about volte but most of the indians are using Jio som cards for calling and internet accessing purpose
So devs i humbly request you to find solution for this issue...
Ya its a big issue in using Oreo rom. I am back to Lineage os 14.1 .
Flash the modem of the stock ROM when you lose the connectivity. It worked for me.

VoLTE is a PIA for developer's. not just because the code is proprietary (meaning no access to the source code).
the Dev's so far have not focused to fix VoLTE for Oreo hence the issues. they focus on other major more important fixes first.
Oreo is a major re-write to C++ compared to Nougat.
VoLTE on 14.1 is stable because the Dev's have figured out a proper way to make it work. Which is not yet the case with Oreo. so if you want stable VoLTE stick with Official LOS 14.1.

How to flash stock modem .
I am on AEX.
---------- Post added at 07:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:46 AM ----------
I think AOSP roms have volte problems.
When I am on AOKP os volte working fine..
Yesterday I flashed AEX which is based on AOSP.
Volte gone.
One way to get back the volte is by changing the sim card from 1 to 2 or vice versa. This will get you volte. And then if you want to change the sim cards back to original then do so. The volte will stick.
Other one is, flash the stock ROM modem or an LOS modem. It worked for me with stock and RR modem.
