Hi guys this is my first thread
lets cut to the chase ,I flashed pixel experience gsi and it works flawless
How to install:
1.unlock your bootloader
2.if you have custom rom and twrp recovery go to stock rom with stock recovery!!!!
3.download the gsi https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/wiki/Generic-System-Image-%28GSI%29-list
4.reboot to bootloader using the power button and volume down button , open command prompt and type this 2 code VERY IMPORTANT
fastboot -w
fastboot flash system system-arm64-aonly-gapps-su.img
5.after flashing reboot device ….device will get bootloop this is fine! after the 3rd boot device will boot to stock recovery and will say to reset the phone
so reset the phone
If the phone resets then that's it congratulations your phone now has pixel experience reboot device
If the phone does not reset then its ok! shutdown the device and go to fastboot and flash twrp and go to stock rom once again using Huru Updater and go to developer options and enable OEM Unlock then reboot and flash gsi
https://forum.xda-developers.com/9-lite/development/stock-rom-indian-firmware-c675-t3813875
After flashing stock rom again boot the device and after reaching the home screen shut down the device and again try Step 4 and Step 5
6.After flashing the gsi it is recommended to do factory reset to avoid settings stopped errors....
7.It is also possible to flash other andoid pie gsi I have not tried if you try let me know!
Since I was experimenting I couldn't record my progress if you can record it would be great!
Whats Working?
Except Hotspot Almost everything works
I have attached screenshots below
Is the hotspot, VOLTE and bluetooth working if I may use this as my daily driver.

Thanks for sharing. Should I switch from emui? I just flashed the B187 last week.
*Any fix for hotspot as of now and can we expect it in the near future?
*Does the camera work?
*How's the ram management?
*Battery life
*Does the phone lag, like, is there any lag in the UI?
*Have you tried gaming on this?
*Do you recommend this as a daily driver?
Know that's a lot of questions but would be grateful if you could help.?

Hospot does not work
Camera Quality is poor
Flash light does not work
Battery is not so great but mangeable
Phone runs buttery smooth... No lag whatsoever
Gaming experience is great but battery falls rapidly
Overall it can be used as DD but you have to sacrifice camera quality and battery life

Finally got it working. Well I flashed the 32 bit one before so that wouldn't boot. Yesterday I flashed the 64but one and it works. Thanks for sharing. The UI is a bit laggy but that's okay.
Well for the camera you can use gcam it's not perfect but does pretty good.
And I'm surprised that the hotspot works fine ?
Can you please tell the full steps for installation( from unlocking a boatloader).... I am using Honor 9 lite ...please tell me about room can I use as a daily driver everything works fine or not how we get updates after installing a rom

aaaaand it booted!
I just flashed Resurrection Remix GSI by phhusson and it works. With EMUI 8 beta you can now flash a treble ROM. Still, this requires further testing so be careful. I'm not responsible for bricked phones. Here are the steps:
1. Make sure your device is on EMUI 8 beta with unlocked bootloader (guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/development/hwota7-hwota8-honor-6x-t3792601)
2. Download GSI from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...opment/resurrection-remix-phh-treble-t3767688 and move it to the folder where you installed ADB
Note: Honor 6x doesn't support seamless update so you want the A-only image, not the A/B one. Just in case you don't know already, Honor 6x has arm64 architecture.
3. Open cmd and navigate to your ADB folder
4. Reboot your phone to fastboot mode and type 'fastboot flash system name-of-the-image.img' where name-of-the-image.img is your downloaded GSI.
5. Hit enter and wait for it to finish installing
6. Famous words: "Reboot and pray"
Problems:
1. Since we don't have a treble-compatable TWRP build yet, there is no way to install gapps for now. I will try to find an image that includes them.
2. All the problems present on the actual ROM (check ROM thread)
3. There are likely others. (There always are some)
I'd like it if others tried to flash this and share their experiences here.
Thanks to @phhusson, @vovan1982, @HassanMirza01, Huawei, RR team and everybody else I forgot to mention.

Thanks,in the mean time I'm looking for a proper cable to root my phone lol
UPDATE:
I flashed AOSP GSI and it boots normally as well. Has gapps and root as well, but you'll need the og supersu (phh's). Chainfire's su doesn't work. Also, you can't give adb root access via dev options so you cant pull boot image to patch it with magisk right away. I'm also unable to get stock camera to work but will experiment with that in the future. Battery life seems a bit better than on nougat roms but then again I'm running pure AOSP with no major battery consumer app on it for now. That's it for now.
@TheParallelOne
Did you try to use stock camera app from there?

Bro do complete research first. we have fully working twrp. use twrp on elemental Rom. and installation procedure is also completely wrong. first flash twrp from fastboot using command fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY V2.img then check the recovery and reboot to boot loader then flash system image then reboot to recovery do formats data then install gapps then again reboot to boot loader then flash stockrecovery from dot os thread which is also treble rom then reboot to stock recovery do factory reset now device will boot fine.
Also there are some bugs like mtp, battery drain, heating issues on normal usage and slow charging in some rims. I have tried 4 roms and decided go back to elemental Rom. but these treble roms much better than nougat custom roms comparing to them these can be used as daily driver. pure Android 8.1 roms with all latest features.
Can you provide screenshots please
That's great news. TFS bro.

mtp working on some roms and battery drain is not that much compared to emui 8 stock now im gonna try more roms.
Treble roms are much faster and more stable you can't find any bugs. even I was surprised honor 6x can run stock android with this much stability.
Battery drain comparison
on stock emui 5 5% drain for hour while watching movie in mx player no apps running in background all freezed.
on emui 8/treble roms 7-8% while watching movie on mx player but didn't freezed any apps only apps running telegram and whatsapp.
conclusion if u r in emui8 go for treble roms for complete pixel experience
4G VoLTE

hi there,
i used crDroidAndroid-8.1-20180606-riva-v4.3 but there were color problems i didnt know 2 fix so i decided 2 flash a new rom resp. a newer version but no custom rom boots up.
when it tries 2 boot is freezes at the boot screen, then screen switches off and nothing happens. i can go 2 fastboot and recovery.
sometimes it boots up but after a few seconds it freezes 2.
i tried different roms and recoveries but nothing works.
i foolishly wiped internal storage once but then i flashed the stock rom again which boots up. then i unlocked the bootloader and flashed a custom recovery and a rom again but the same error is there (no booting up)
anyone got a solution for this problem? no unbricking suggestions plz
edit: im in the wrong thread i think. i wanted 2 post it in "Guides, News, & Discussion". cant delete it. sry for that

so i managed 2 create logs while booting up.

3) https://pastebin.com/0pwXyuys
4) https://pastebin.com/S41FG2SQ

3) is 1st part of the log while booting with successful boot into the os.
4) is 2nd part of the log while booting with successful boot into the os.
i also tried 2 log "cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/last_kernel_message_log.txt"
and "dmesg > /sdcard/kernel_boot_log.txt" via terminal in linux but it only sais file or directory not found.
i hope sum1 can give me sum help now.
so i did this https://en.miui.com/thread-3921604-1-1.html but it doesnt help. as i expected.
any1? i can post more information if necessary. just say which and perhaps how ;D
cmon guys. i can impossibly b the only 1 who faces this problem.
i dont think its a hardware thing cause stock rom and android 7.1.2 (viper os) work. maybe a vendor problem? could flash another vendor img solve this problem? can sum1 send me his?
i got sum more logs after flashing rr 7.0:
logcat 1st part: https://pastebin.com/EBZAgbhF

Fastboot flash latest miui 10 stable using mi flash tool and use the rom after setting up. Then flash custom recovery and do a full wipe.
This works for most cases.

Crdroid is my choice because aex and rr are very early builds. I like pixel experience but the devs not updating it so crdroid or havoc os.
Like i said use Xiaomi flash tool and flash miui 10 stable via fastboot method(there are 3 options in the bottom select flash all instead of flash and lock to avoid unlocking the bootloader again), don't flash anything else, setup and use the phone, flash recovery wipe all and format, install rom, don't flash gapps yet, boot into rom and see if its fixed.
Use vendor based recovery, if using batik recovery you have to flash batik recovery again after format.
This is my solution.

i did it several times before but 2 b safe i did it again like that:
i flashed riva_global_images_V10.1.1.0.NCKMIFI_20181029.0000.00_7.1_global_f444c158ed.tgz using XIAOMI-TOOL-MiFlash-for-Linux-by-IceMan-master. im on linux mint 18.3. i have 4 options:
flash_all_lock.sh
flash_all_lock_crc.sh
flash_all_except_data_storage.sh
flash_all.sh
i chose flash_all.sh
i booted into the stock rom and set it up, enabled dev options and adb.
then i switched it off, went into bootloader, flashed twrp-3.2.3-0-riva.img via fastboot.
after that i entered twrp, flashed OrangeFox-R8.3-riva.zip and rebooted into recovery
i wiped everything except external sd and usb otg (i dont have these)
after a reboot intorecovery i formatted data then rebooted in recovery
i flahed crDroidAndroid-9.0-20181002-riva-v5.0.zip
then reboot into system
no success as i expected! wtf is wrong wtf. this cant b true!
but thank u very much for ur efforts! perhaps i would try 2 restore a vendor img from sum1 which rom does work. i know its a great demand but could u send me urs? ;D i dont know if there r sum personal info..
best regards
Don't give up there might be a solution.
Pray to God for some help.

Currently I am using Xiaomi.eu beta rom. You can check their website for all the features. Its smooth, stable and can update without needing to got the recovery:victory:
This should work for you because unlike other roms this is based on miui for riva. That means you will get updates till Xiaomi ditches support for riva.
I recommend you use this rom over the global rom until you fix the problem with your phone.
Some things missing:
Choice of region is limited( India is not available)
There is no custom kernel available for miui oreo as of now.
Magisk safetynet not passed
If you're going flash this rom you need to be on latest global beta fastboot rom and need a recovery that supports oreo base.
I use batik recovery base oreo.

dont u have 2 wait 2 weeks or so till bootloader is unlocked?
what exactly do u mean with won't boot up? bootloop? or stuck at boot logo?
after flashing a custom recovery, did u boot directly into the system or did u try 2 boot into recovery? sometimes the stock recovery overwrites the custom 1 when stock rom boots up
my problem is solved. i remembered that i made a full nandroid backup with twrp before i flashed a new rom and the problem appeared. so i restored everything i backed up with twrp (incl cust) and voila, rom booted up. and i can wipe system and data and flash every rom i wanna and it still boots up \o/
i really could have tried it earlier but i didnt think of this untill yesterday ;D
well, thx for ur efforts anyway buddy @NaAnBcEhEuL9A8K7
cheers
A word of caution: I am not a ROM developer for this device, I'm just giving a safe method for flashing GSI to this device. If you decide to flash an unsafe/untested GSI (which is anything other than Havoc OS 2.9 GSI) the resulting outcome is your fault, may that be your phone booting up to the welcome screen of your new ROM or a brick. If you have any questions, please PM me.
1. Unlocking the Bootloader
This is pretty easy.
-Install the Mi Unlock app from here on your PC.
-Go to the Settings app on your RN8P.
-Press About Phone and then press the MIUI version number 7 times or until it says "No need, you are already a developer."
-Go back and scroll down until you see Other Settings. Tap Other Settings and from there tap on Developer Options. From there you should turn on OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging.
-Scroll up and click on Mi Unlock Status. Add your account there and install the ADB and USB drivers for this phone onto the PC that you installed Mi Unlock tool to.
-Connect it to that PC via USB and turn off your phone. Open Mi Unlock. Enter your Mi Account information. Enter fastboot mode by holding Power and Volume Down on your phone until a picture of a rabbit appears.
-Press Unlock on Mi Unlock. Then, the program will either say that your phone is unlocked or that you have to wait 168 or more hours. If it does tell you this, wait until that time is up to press unlock again. Once the program says that your phone is unlocked, you're good to go.
2. Installing TWRP
-There isn't actually any official TWRP Recovery for this device, as you may have noticed. Instead, download the LR TEAM Unofficial TWRP here onto your PC.
-Install Szaki Tools onto your PC here. This is not only a minimal ADB/Fastboot tool but it also contains a graphical interface if you need it.
-Install OpenJDK here if you want to use that graphical interface unless you already have JDK installed.
-If you want to use Szaki Tools Graphical interface, connect your phone to your PC via USB and open the file called XiaomiADBFastbootTools with OpenJDK or something else if you already have something to open JAR files.
-Factory reset your phone by going to My Device in Settings, then going to Backup and Reset and then to Erase All Data. Then, press reset phone at the bottom. Put in your password if you have one and press OK on all of the warnings.
-You will see a loading bar, wait until it is finished and then hold the Power and Volume Down buttons to enter Fastboot before the phone boots up to the welcome screen.
-Open XiaomiADBFastbootTools if you haven't already and click on Select Image. Navigate to the LR TEAM TWRP file you downloaded earlier and flash it to the Recovery Partition using the dropdown next to Flash Image. Flash the image.
-Turn off the phone and then boot into Recovery by holding the Power and Volume Up buttons, releasing the power button when you see the Redmi logo.
3. Installing GSI, Magisk, and GAPPS
-Install your GSI (Havoc OS, Pixel Experience, Lineage OS, install at your own risk, Havoc OS tested and works great), Magisk, and OpenGApps Pico package
-Go back to your phone, which should be in Recovery mode right now if you have followed this guide up to this point. Select Wipe in TWRP and then select Format Data. Type yes and then press the check mark.
-Go back, press Reboot and then Recovery. Hold Power and Volume Up and then release Power once you see the Redmi logo to boot back into Recovery.
-Go to Wipe again, but this time press Advanced Wipe. Select Dalvik Cache, Cache, and System. Swipe right.
-Transfer your GSI, Magisk zip, and GAPPS to your phone after you've finished wiping.
-Flash your GSI and Magisk, and then flash GAPPS. If you get an error while trying to flash GAPPS, it's fine. Just continue on to the next step.
-Press Advanced and then Close AVB 2.0 . Make sure you check both before swiping.
-Press Reboot and then System, and then boot into Recovery again using Power and Volume Up.
-Reboot again into system from there just wait. Your phone will probably reboot by itself once before booting into your new GSI ROM.
-If GAPPS did not flash the first time, boot back into Recovery and go to Wipe.
-Press Advanced Wipe and press Repair or Change File System. Then Flash your GSI, Magisk, and GAPPS again.
You should now have a functioning GSI ROM on your phone!
Please let me know which GSIs work, I've tested Havoc, which works really well in general. I've tried flashing Pixel Experience, PHH Treble, and Resurrection Remix and they did not work for me. I have heard that some people have gotten PHH Treble and Reurrection Remix to work though.
Very nice post!!
Would love to see people post results here.
I am currently on xiaomi.eu 11.0.2, so far so good.
If I have some free time, I will try GSI

You're welcome!
Tell me what other issues you have if you run into any.
Specifically, what is the camera situation?
If I have already closed AVB2.0 ,twrp and magisk on MIUI 11.3 (android 9). What I should do to try havoc 3.0. If I flash your recovery and in your recovery flash GSI and format data it should works? Sorry for my English.

You already have TWRP, which I'm assuming means your phone has an unlocked bootloader. Just follow the guide from step 2 (Installing TWRP) to the end of the guide even if you have already installed Magisk and flashed TWRP.
I have not tried Havoc 3.0 yet, I have tried Havoc 2.9.
As Havoc 3.0 is an Android Q ROM I'm not completely sure if it will work. If you want a ROM that definitely works, use the link for Havoc 2.9 that I've provided in the guide. You can try Havoc 3.0 if you want, but you could possibly get bootloop and have to reflash MIUI again.
By any chance does havoc gsi have face unlock? Does Bluetooth function properly? Any random screen flashes? To be more exactly what exactly is not working for this os?
Thank you!
I keep going back to recovery after following GSI installation properly, did i miss some step?

Havoc does not come with Face Unlock, but you can always flash the Face Unlock apk as a system app. I've tried installing it as a regular apk without TWRP and it does not work. If you want me to attach a Face Unlock zip to flash using TWRP to the post I can do that. Bluetooth does not work properly right now but I'm looking for a fix. Screen flashes occasionally in anything other than the stock camera app that came with the GSI. IR Blaster only sometimes works. Otherwise, after resizing and disabling HW Overlays everything works.

If you keep going back to recovery, it's a sign of bootloop. If you installed a GSI that bootloops, go to Step 3 of the guide and start from there once you're in recovery. Try a different GSI if it wasn't Havoc; I could never get PHH Treble or Pixel Experience to work.
This is awesome news!! Really thank you so much. Please keep me updated on the status of your progress with what is working and not. But I am stoked we have Roms for this device. I won't flash until Bluetooth is working. But this is likely right around the corner. ****ing awesome tho!!
:good: Yes, this is awesome work! This super phone with a safe ROM will be a dream! Keep up the good work.
(also waiting for the Bluetooth to work before I jump to it)

I know that it says that it works, but every time I have tried PHH Treble the phone won't go past the boot animation. It just says "Android" and stays there. I do not really have the time to test a new ROM; I'm trying to get Bluetooth working right now on Havoc OS. You, or anyone willing, can try it out and post here if it works and I can add any extra steps needed to the guide.

I flashed Havoc OS.
From sourceforge, the file is formatted with .xz extension, right? so I extracted it and get the .img file.
Then flash the image to System Image option, am i correct?

Yes! But follow the instructions
Suggestion:
Shall we have separate threads for each GSI attempt? (Havoc, LOS, ...)
That way one can concentrate on the issues on a particular ROM
When I closed avb I didn't select close DMVerify. If I want to flash havoc I must select it too? Can I close it again? Sorry for my English.

Redo 3.
Sorry bad english
Got my Redmi Note 8 finally unlocked and tried various custom ROMs including official LineageOS and a few others.
All of them suffered the problem that selfie camera was crashing. This prevents some apps from working. For example some banking apps enforce you to take a selfie when the app is installed.
Later I bricked my phone so I will get back it with factory software soon, but before playing with custom ROMs I would like to understand what did I wrong.
So my questions:
- what partitions EXACTLY to format/wipe when installing LineageOS for the first time before the factory ROM?
- Can I use latest (MIUI12) factory ROM before installing LineageOS 17.1?
- I flashed vbmeta.img earlier from a random link I found. It resolved my phone not booting but maybe that caused the selfie cam crash?
The selfie cam worked with factory software, I am pretty sure the custom software caused this. However maybe it is a physical failure (hw)? I dropped the phone a bit, but it was inside the official case bundled with the phone. I could hear a tick sound when changing cameras (for example opencamera app allows you to step throu all the available cams).
Thanks for any ideas.
Flash fastboot rom
Then over it flash any custom rom of ur choice using orangefox recovery or any other recovery u like;

Thanks but how this helps me? Isnt twrp good for this phone?
Seems like Xiaomi uses different sensor for selfi cam, keeping the same Redmi Note 8 model name.
Custom ROMs carry driver only for the old one.
Seems like have to wait until the correct driver pops up and finds way to custom ROMs. Sad.

Not work too. What I do:
1. Flash back to MIUI 12.0.3 using mi-flash tool.
2. Checking back/front camera normal
3. flash OrangeFox recovery
4. Reboot to recovery
5. Wipe cache, Davkit/cache, /data, NOT WIPE /SYSTEM
6. flash custom rom
7. flash Magisk zip
8. Format /data
9. Reboot system

This tutorial doesnt promise to make the selfie cam work. Just make the OS tell apps that the back cam is a front cam to resolve some special cases. Not meant for daily use.
Hello everyone,
This guide will show you how to get android 12 for S10+ ( cuz i only tested it on my s10+)
What you'll need before this guide :
-Unlocked bootloader
-TWRP installed
- know and believe that I'm not responsible for any thing it's on your own risk (your warranty is void and knox is dead )
---------------------------------------------------------
If you don't have TWRP installed or unlocked bootloader I'll tell you in brief:
•Bootloader: get developer options and toggle unlock bootloader option (if you don't find it it's okay) - then shutdown your phone and connect it to your pc while pressing down the key combination (power -Vol down- Bixby). Then follow the steps to unlock the bootloader.
• TWRP : go to official twrp site and download the corresponding file to your device in (img.tar) format .. open odin and apply this twrp file to AP slot and uncheck auto reboot option in odin then flash!. It will flash the recovery if it fails you'll have to flash Vbmeta disbler before TWRP.
---------------------------------
NOW LET'S GET TO THE REAL THING:
You should download the following:
1- Linage OS official for s10+ (we'll use it as a vendor)
LineageOS Downloads
download.lineageos.org
2- The pixel 5 System image
Beta 3.1 build SPB3.210618.016
(original ,untouched)
original pixel 5 system-img.rar
drive.google.com
Steps:
You must have bootloader unlocked
And Twrp installed By this point
1- Just fully clean your Device ( wipe everything and erase everything)
2- flash Linage OS official rom and reboot to system
3- Never update the recovery during Initial setup of linage OS because it will replace TWRP and you'll have to reflash TWRP with Odin again.
4-get back to TWRP and then Wipe data to remove encryption then - Advanced wipe ( Cache , Dalvik , System )
5- Flash the system.Img i made for you as (system)
6- reboot to system and you should be perfectly fine
_---------------------------------------
I'm just sharing what i did to my phone to run android 12 after experimenting many failure trials.
I'm not responsible for any thing happens to your phone and I'm sure you'll be fine.(if your a galaxy s10+ exynos OFC)
#Pegasus
UPDATE:
update to beta 4 pixel 5.
Download the system.img:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/gsitutorials-sgsi/files/SGSI/A12Beta/Pixel5-A12-Beta4-Debloated-2.50GB-SGSI-GSITutorials.7z/download
and dirty flash it. if anything goes wrong get back to twrp and whip system partition and flash the beta 4.
Credits for Beta 4:
Thanks to @Xiaoxindada For His Tool. Also thanks to @erfanoabdi and @nnippon.
BETA 4 IS Ported by @GSITutorials

Worked perfectly!!! Thank you very much, I've been trying for weeks to install Android 12 and I haven't been successful so far!
can someone point me to the correct beta 5 version?
Wow awesome. Thank you for the work !
I have a question : does VoWifi and/or VoLTE works for you with this GSI ? One of the screenshots seems to have the VoWifi icon in the status bar.

Hi someone already install and works perfectly, if I am in September patch of stock ROM this will work?, please let me know, anyway I will try and if its works I will upload pictures
Regards
Ok I already did it and up now it work, at least here in México, maybe it is not for everyone due to is only in English, so the signal wifi an almost y very fine, I always use a custom room what reach the pixel experience but now I have it. While work the call and vendor data... The rest is ok, I will continue testing and anything what goes wrong I will let you know. Just one comment at least for my phone before flash img, it is needed wipe - format - text "yes" and after that flash and now works.
Root it works?
Magisk only?
Has anyone managed to install Gapps ? I tried after flashing lineage (with TWRP) but no luck
