Just checked that - it's ok on mine, there is a repeating tone during the call for call waiting.
phone/pda rom i780DXHC4
I disable and re-enable the call waiting option, but it still no call waiting tone.

Stupid question maybe, but you do see the incoming call on the screen right?
are you able to switch to it?
maybe it's a SIM or provider issue
Finally perform a hard reset to solve the problem
I used to have the same issue, missed couple of call....on c1...
I managed to figure out, the problem is the callwait.mid does exist but it was a silent midi....
Just fire up registry editor, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\CallWaiting
change the sound value from callwait.mid value to callwait.wav...
and you can add vibrate by modify the script to av0pw3r,...
btw, no soft reset required....

Ironically, I encountered the same problem just today.
Thank you "Crash74" for solving this for me
This is strange though,
I don't remember having this problem when I first installed this rom (HD1),
but indeed the callwait.mid is silent (as is the busy.mid).
Could it have changed on its own somehow?

Thanks, Crash74. I can hear beep tone now. But, how to make the call waiting alert ring continuously like other phones? It beeps 4 times only.
i have the same problem too, and i checked and found that it is callwait.wav already....so, i think that may be i deleted it(i have no idea), can anyone send the file to me
[email protected]
and please tell me where should i put it.
another pt. is when i called htc centre and they told me that "ALL VERSION" of diamond will have his problem if you use BT, and if you want to solve it then you need to turn off BT and soft reset it. But this seems can't solve my problem
their is no sound comming from my phone no matter what i do. i even reset it and its still acting up
Ummm did you try to go to profiles to make sure and did you try to turn up the system volume?

Maybe your speaker is broken ?!
Howdy all,
My phone has just started a vibration when a call is ended, and I can find nothing that has made any change that is causing this to happen. I cannot find where or what setting is making the dang thing vibrate when a call is ended! It's getting on my nerves,,,,
I'm using the stock jeley bean with the native dialer and have tried all I can think of!
If someone knows if this is supposed to happen, or how I can stop it, please tell me!
It never did this for as long as I can remember, but I don't know what the heck has happened, and I cannot make that vibration stop.
Many thanks!
Solved via factory restore. over kill for a small problem, but had no alternative. Saddddd!

Thanks,
I did all those obvious things, and it wouldn't work!
I did the Factory restore, and for a day, all was good. After all that work, it's back vibrating again! I did NOTHING and installed NOTHING after the factory restore, and it was fine...... for 1 day, and now it's vibrating every time I hang up on a call. WTF???
Hmmmm interesting. Your phone is possessed xP... OK back to being serious lol. is your phone rooted and if so what custom ROM are you running?

Is it just my phone or everybody else is having an issue with phone ringing just two times on incoming calls. It continues to vibrate until the call is answered. It is very easy to miss the call. I am on AurRom 3.0.

just so this thread is not left unanswered (even in wrong topic). I will say it is only you. Do a proper wipe of cache and factory reset before flashing a new rom.

Thanks! I believe I did all that. Will have to reflash it again. As there are sound bugs in KK, I thought it might be that,
I also face this same issue on stock 757 rom

I have traced a problem to affect only external (added by me) ringtone. If I chose one of included ringtones, everything is fine. What happens is that Z1C will play the ringtone just once and will not repeat it. My ringtone duration is 4 seconds and Z1C will only ring for 4 seconds and vibrate only after that.
Does anybody know where original ringtones are stored?
hello guys
when i first got this phone xiaomi mi a2 lite i was able to change my ringtone
now after updating to Android pie , the device just crash! and goes back to the home screen .
heeeelp!!
If you have do not disturb turned on, sound selector crashes (tries and fails to set volume to play file).

Not fixed for me with 10.0.8.0.
Easy workaround though, just turn off DnD, change the sound then turn DnD back on.
Set the phone to vibrate and you can change ringtone without making noises.
I tried to change local ringtone but the ringtone does not set

Do you have Do Not Disturb (DnD) on? It has never worked with Pie but you can work around it by turning off DnD when changing ringtones.
Set the phone to vibrate and you can still change ringtone without making noises.
Solved my problem. Many thanks!
