I have a Joying JY-UQ130 RK3188-based head unit. Does anyone know if the Joying Apple CarPlay USB dongle will work with this radio, or is the unit too old?

I was wondering i'm running android 7.1 on my head unit. can i connect usb mhl adapter to hdmi and my head unit display on my hudly or is there any way i can mirror my android head unit screen to my hudly either wire or wireless, prefer wire
If so, does anyone know which units support this? Is it all units? Does the CANBUS data get in via the OBD2 port? Does it still make it through with a bluetooth OBD2 connector?
Thanks!
Yes, I assume most units with canbus box will. There are canbus lines that feed directly to the radio connection socket.
Hey peeps, I'm looking at biting the bullet on a 9" Dasaita PX5 4gb/32gb head unit for my Subaru Forester.
It is replacing the stock Nav unit which has fuel consumption data among other things.
I'm wondering if I will be able to use an app like Torque tools to see that data over the existing Canbus connection or do I need to use a Bluetooth odb2 plug or something along those lines?
If I do have to use an odb2 plug can I connect my phone via Bluetooth at same time? Any advice or suggestions on Android head unit model choice and Dasaita reviews would be appreciated.

Search it on AliExpress. I can't post links yet apparently
Hello, i dont have a Subaru while using a Dasaita HU. IMO, if you have a Canbus converter box, and it already show some car's info before on the original HU, it will show the same on your new HU.
Case of using odb2 connected by Bluetooth, you can even connect Bluetooth with your smartphone at the same time.
Hello all ,
i have Xtrons PB78AA3RP head unit(android 8.0). I bought one OBD adapter, " HH OBD Advanced " .
My problem is that adapter isn't even listed in Bluetooth available devices on my xtrons headunit.
I connected adapter with my smartphone and it's paired and working normally with torque app.
Any suggestions ?
thanks in advance.
Mike.
I too have an Xtrons unit for a BMW X5 with the same problem. Same hardware as yours I'm guessing. It's a PX5 Android 8.0. The Bluetooth won't find anything other than my HTC cell phone. I run Dashcommand paired to an OBD dongle, and its a massive fight manipulating the app and HU and obd dongle. I can get it to connect sometimes. It doesn't find it half the time. I have given up on it temporarily, until recently I tried pairing my new escort Max 360c radar detector. HU doesn't see it either. Ever. Hoping someone on here can help us out. Wondering if it's a hardware issue or software issue with Xtrons? I am going to reach out to Xtrons and I will post anything I learn on here.
I have a Seicane headunit and it has inputs for CAN HI and CAN low. If I connect these straight to the Canbus could I pull the OBDII data from the car? or is a CANBUS decoder required? I don't need it for steering wheel controls or anything else. I would just like to see some OBDII data.
Head unit is a PX5 4gb+32gb
If you're talking about the 2 pins on the harness connector that goes to the car those 2 wires go to another smaller connector that plugs into the CANbus decoder. So yes you need a CANbus decoder but those ELM327 OBDII dongles are dirt cheap.
