i have bin searching everywhere for a fix for my samsung galaxy s3 i9300 international, but i have not found anything!
well i have found alot of fixes but not for s3.
My phone is now rooted, its working. it starts and there seems to nothing wrong with it. except that i can not get in to recovery/download mode with the 3 button combo, only way is if is use ADB, or if i tell the phone to reboot in to rec/down, but i want it to work with 3 button method, so if i brick it i can fix it without having to buy one jig... is there anything i can do about this? Anyone who knows how to fix it!?
Please can any one help.
My touch screen broke and riht now there is no way I can afford to get it fixed. I got an idea to buy a blue tooth keyboard witha touch pad and bang I was back in business. Now I could use it as a little home entertainment system.
About 2 weeks ago videos would randomly skip, volume would go up and down, apps would close and others open randomly. I did the show touches in settings and wow litterally all along the cracks you can see gost touches all the time. I asked once before for help and someone suggested flashing a blank driver for the touchscreen. I know I dont have the skill to try and take it to pieces and after a month I still cant seem to find a way to make this go away.
Soncould someone please help me out a kind dev who knows something so I could just flash a zip and boom no mpre touchscreen..
Thanks
So I was using S Note and it suddenly switched to S Pen only mode when I got out of editing mode (I think, I'm not 100% sure when it switched). I couldn't toggle it back (pressing the button did nothing) and this wasn't just limited to the S Note app, I the screen itself only recognized my S Pen, not my hand, regardless of what app I was running or if I was on the home or lock screen. I got it to recognize my hand again by removing Evernote from my running apps (holding down the home button) and going to the same note but using the actual S Note app (which I assume runs within Evernote when you open a note from the Evernote app). This has happened before but I just turned off the tablet and when I turned it back on, everything was fine.
I just got the tablet (my first!), mind you, so please bear with me if this is a stupid/rookie mistake but I can't even find an option to limit the screen to detect only the S Pen besides when I'm in S Note. I got this tablet refurbished so I need to know if this is simple user error or something's glitchy with the tablet itself.
If it matters, I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 running on 4.4.2.
Never had that problem in the Year I have had this tablet and can't say I have read anyone of complaining of that either but I could be wrong.
I could be wrong but I'm only aware of the setting in Sketchbook pro to allow it not to recognise your hand not sure of any other apps or settings (tbh never needed to use it apart from when using sketchbook).
So I'm having this issue with my fathers S3 ( and recently with my moms galaxy tab 2 , which I managed to fix). But his phone will boot till it shows the GALAXY logo, then reboots, when I try and enter recovery mode, I get as far as the blue letters saying "recovery" , but the phone proceeds to reboot, and when I try and enter download mode, I get as far as the actual "DOWNLOADING" page, but again.. The phone reboots seconds later, I am not 100% sure what the issue is, but I believe it is due to the amount of files / apps he kept on the phone ( which interferes with the OS expanding if I'm not mistaken ) , I am not sure what to do from here as last time I faced this proble, I was still able to get into download mode, and flash a stock ROM, wher I can't even get into download mode here for Odin to see it! Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am willing to dig into the phone hardware wise if there's a fast fix for it like that as I am a fair bit experienced with the insides of an S3
Possible power button issue?
battery pull trick ¿
"all i can really do , is stay out of my own way and let the will of heaven be done"
Yeah, sounds like button issues or gunk somewhere. I would get a can of electrical cleaner from the automotive store and spray ports and button areas, maybe tearing into the phone as far as you're comfortable. If the screen has been replaced, there's probably no optical filler glue, so be careful not to force gunk between the AMOLED and digitizer. Fling the phone dry for a bit and see if it works.

I'm working on a Sprint T217S Galaxy Tab 3 that I gifted to my grandmother a few years back. I had completely reset it beforehand, so developer options are disabled as far as I know. It has had battery issues lately, so I ordered a battery. It arrived today, and my grandma happened to stop by. She told me that she can't use the touch screen anymore, and after further inspection, the digitizer seems to be completely unresponsive.
Here's my dilemma: The entire digitizer is faulty (no menu/back button or touch input), and OTG support seems to not be working. I can connect via USB to the computer, and I believe it takes charge. I cannot however plug in a mouse/keyboard via OTG to navigate the tablet. My only option seems to be using voice input, but all it can do is open settings/handle very basic tasks.
Is there anything I can do? I've considered side-loading apps, but I can't tap anything to establish a connection via apps or settings in the slide down menu to enable bluetooth, etc. I'm at a loss, because I told her I could figure it out soon. I didn't realize how long this would take since I might be looking at a digitizer replacement, and shipping would take a while (weekend). Really appreciate any help, thank you!

If your voice controls can get you in there, set up a Bluetooth mouse.
