I'd suggest not to upgrade to MIUI 10(especially if you have arb 3 ROM)

I guess, no. It won't but I'm not 100% sure. It's advisable to not upgrade.

I used to apply for unlock permission and it was granted but since I updated miui during that time it was apparently useless and I had to reapply. So better wait.

xiaomi with his stupid policy about unlocking bootloader is pissing me of, waiting for a month, is dumb too much
I updated to MIUI 10 and the unlock time did not reset. I'm now at 593 hours. YMMV

i also updated to miui 10 , it wasn't reset mine
the answer is no,the waiting time will not be reseted when updating to miui 10...i did the update today and the waiting time is still the same

I am not sure because once i had purchased the redmi note 4 long back that time i took permission and i unlocked my redmi note 4 but this is my new device i hav not taken permission for this device

Please be patient, the error is reported to devs and they are working on it.
The error is caused as of errors with sync with china servers.
If you try to fix this on your own you can not.
If you have Made in India mark on your phone, it signifies you have this error.

No. If you bought from Flipkart or Mi and you got non made in India model (which can be verified by seeing the rear of box) then it means you won't face any 86006 error. However it is standard for you to go through 360 hours of time to unlock bootloader.

Due to vendor abuse (vendors use to unlock and install software crap) they added 360 hours waiting policy. It can't be skipped I searched for the same multiple times.
Is there any new way to bypass ?

You need to use the version 2.2[...] + 2 accounts. I've done it ~1 month ago on the latest rom, so should be still possible!
I'm pretty sure that all the exploits are fixed by now.

It's different for everyone it seems, for me it showed just 95 hours left 2 days after I bound my account and now I have just 35 hours left.

It's my first Xiaomi and I just hope it will work after this timer runs out. It should work since as you see in the picture they stated that you have to use your device actively during that time, means it has to be booted and running in the system the whole waiting time from what I know.

Not sure how it works, I installed a different version of the mi unlocker and that did the trick

I just checked yesterday, I have 23 hours left, so it counts down normally. I will report here later if it will unlock after the counter runs out.

Yeah we should be able to flash the global ROM.
But in the meantime, you can unlock your bootloader.
I don't know if it's necessary.

If you bought i from aliexpress then you will get global rom in it automatically and if you bought the chineese varient then you have to wait coz as of now no global rom available for redmi note 8 pro.
Bought from Ali CN vrn, is English ok on this? A bit confused ? what you wrote..

Update:
I unlocked my Bootloader. Yesss.
Sadly, I can't get it to boot after flashing a patched Magisk_boot.img.
Just keeps bootlooping, as soon as I flash the stock boot.img, its fine.
Its MIUI 10.4.8 China version.

Will this ROM work on Rerdmi Note 8 Pro with 6GB/128GB storage?
People say that relocking the bootloader while you have global rom on chinese version would brick the phone, is it true for Note 8 Pro? Aliexpress sellers are selling CN phones with global rom with no warning of bricking.
I've just unloced mine but after flashing, device still into bootloop and no fastboot mode allowed........
