How to Lock bootloader on custom rom . - Lenovo ZUK Z2 (Plus) Questions & Answers

I want to give this phone to someone else who does not technically understand about these things . So i want to lock bootloader keeping any good custom rom installed with any recovery ( stock would be best ) ?
Is there any solution ?
Once I had locked bootloader on Zui 3.1.117 deodexed with some file from zui 2.5.104 and some code , i do not remember now . But there are so many good custom roms and i want to lock it . If is it possible ?
Sorry for thread . It mistakenely posted here . Not know how to delete it .

it's depends on the costom rom you have installed, if the CR supports unrooted devices then you can lock the bootloader again by using SuperSU(there are more ways).

[Q] I cant swap my JB rom to Sense rom

Hello everybody ,
actually im using the IceColdJelly Rom now ,
but due to some personal problem , i would like to swap it to a ROM that include Sense features
Watever Sense rom i flash , it wont success (i.e VenomViper , InsertCoin)
But i did discover that there a some " word " at there
It is " HBOOT update is required "
Can somebody let me know wat is this means ?
When i go into the Bootloader , It appears
*** Unlocked ***
"S-On"
HBOOT 0.94 version (due to i never upgrade)
Now my question is , Am i going to S-Off my phone 1st before i do these thing ?
Am i going to upgrade my HBoot to a higher version ?
And , wat should i do now ?
Really hope someone can hlp me , thx :fingers-crossed:
The latest JB roms need the latest HBoot to work and wont work if you dont have the appropriate HBoot...most of the AOSP roms will run with all HBoots if supported so they worked on ur HBoot..you should try to revert to stock and then upgrade your HBoot by OTA updates which would have been released for your region...Seriously your HBoot is very old...!!
Hope that helps:good:

Its only bcoz those roms support and can run irrespective of HBoot version...its specifically mentioned in those roms that they can run irrespective of HBoot version
Sense roms only have this prob of not running without proper HBoot versions...!!

Oppss ... okk . Thx
" you should try to revert to stock and then upgrade your HBoot by OTA updates which would have been released for your region "
So now wat i should do is swap back to STOCK ROM 1st , then Use OTA to upgrade the Latest HBoot version , am i right ?
Is it means that after done these steps , then i can flash the Sense Rom ?

YES
Also the stock rom that you will have will be a sense rom but upgrading the HBoot and and version (which gets upgraded OTA automatically with the update) you can install other ICS sense roms...Jelly Bean sense roms can only run if you have JB OTA update (if its released for your region)
Cheers..!!

Don't forget to flash stock recovery.

Hello !
To better understand, let me to say some words :
When we talk about Firmware , we always automatically understand that there is talk about Stock ROM - The one official rom released from manufacturer.
When we talk about ROM, there are two situation : Stock Rom and Custom Rom .
When we talk about Custom Rom , already there are two situation : Custom Rom based Stock Firmware & Custom Rom based AOSP .
Custom Rom based Stock Firmware is always more stable, and is based on official release with some changes from developer .
Custom Rom based Android Open Source Project ( AOSP ) , is a rom built from scratch, so some custom applications from manufacturer may not be included due to lack of source code - but also we can found here some new and useful functionality !
Here are some Custom Rom based AOSP : Stock AOSP, CyanogenMod (CM), AOKP, OmniROM, Pac-MAN, Carbon, Paranoid Android & many others who rely on AOSP source code with some changes .
I hope you understand me ...

You shouldn't install KitKat Beta as long as there are official version B506CN !
Just put UPDATE.APP extracted from Stock Firmware B506 into your external storage /dload folder and try to update by pressing hardware key combo !

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean, but you must be on stock recovery if you want to update your device to officially KitKat !
The only way to update your device to KitKat is by /dload/UPDATE.APP method ( working only on stock recovery ) !

Hello ,
First of all it is the stock kernel which is developed by samsung . Yes , you can change the kernel by flashing a custom kernel through recovery . Buut u must be rooted and install CWM . Please make sure that the kernel you are using is compatible with touchwiz . There are a lot of kernels in Grand android development section . Good luck .

Could have saved yourself a lot of time just by reading and understanding the ROM descriptions.
There is no Nougat ROM with Sense for this phone, probably never will be any.

Should i be worried?

I am currently on anti 3 is it safe to flash any custom rom?I probably wont go back to miui stock again unless im trying to sell my phone. So is it safe to flash firmware provided by custom rom developers or will they change my anti value to 4?
Your only worry is flashing Miui roms with ARB4 than going back to one with ARB3. AOSP/LOS custom roms not an issue. Even MIUI roms ARB3 or 4 not an issue IF you flash a firmware-less ROM, like the ones here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/how-to/index-redmi-note-5-pro-miui-roms-t3816343
All about ARB: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/how-to/index-everything-anti-roll-t3816219
p.s. pls be more specific in title description, its too general.
Oh sry about that. well thx for clearing things up, really appreciate it

AOSP or LAOS doesnt affect ARB.. wether they are MM ICS N or PIE.
only in MIUI rom it affects . so if you in ARB3. with miflash just flash last ARB3 9.5.17.0 fast boot rom and decide to leave bootloader unlocked or relock it with miflash theres option in bottom.. to clean all or clean all lock (relock bootloader)
