Can someone tell my what just happened here?
My 7 year old son just gave me back my device and the screen is smaller than usual.
He can't remember doing such things and I can't reverse it. Have a look in the attachment.
Restart didn't help
try this
go-to SETTINGS - ADDITIONAL SETTINGS - ACCESSIBILITY - DISPLAY SIZE ... you can adjust the size from there if you are in miui
Found that already, didn't work.
Will try to restore a TWRP backup tonight, if I can't find anything else
Didn't work. Seems I have to do it the hard way and do a factory reset.
Edit: tried one thing before the hard reset. Changed the DPI from currently 404 to 440 and waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better now.

In MIUI9 that is the default DPI value

Hi, I recently went through my registry and disabled the custom O2 phone skin. now the phone just looks blank lol..oops. Anyway, I tried to re-enable it and nothing has happened. Any advice on how to get my phone GUI back?? thanks

when you reverted did you do a soft reset ? almost everything I change requires soft resets for it to take effect

Or possibly a hard reset
yeah i did a soft reset, and nothing. Managed to do a system restore using SPBBackup , handy little tool for times like these lol.

I have a TP2 Sprint & had to do a hard reset due to SENSE start up corruption (working fine with SENSE disable) but my screen alignment got stuck after reset so I did a bypass with Code Factory - Remote Screen Alignment with skip via PC sync. I tried to use a WIZA200.dat file with 1922,1957 3330,639 3317,3276 600,3230 609,677 or with 174,928,858,932,499,554,160,194,840,195 to calibrate from installing within C:/Program Files/Code Factory/Remote Screen Alignment but it still did not work ( I think by using the software & hitting SKIP option does not help installing the .dat file; the other 2 options on the software are to retrieve info & to run an alignment). The alignment seems to be upside down on screen.
Software option:
-Is there a alignment calibration file on the device that I can replace with? If there is, could someone please upload the Sprint TP2 file & let me know where to install?
Hardware option:
If any without replacing part like loose cable,.. I did have to

Why can't you just hard reset it again and actually go though the calibration process?
There used to be a way to force WinMo to calibrate as well, I can't remember what they key combo was right now...

I have reset many times. The calibration process is the problem (hardware; but it works fine before the reset due to SENSE software problem). It would keep re-calibrate in cycle. Thanks.

I need a help. I accidently changed AT on in ATLockActivity menu under projectmenuact now i am unable to set to Off its asking for a password which i did not set. After changing this value my EDGE and 3G speed is capped to 4KBps . if any one knows about this option or if you know on how to reset this value please let me.

I tried with 3 different roms but somehow that value is getting retained even after the complete reset.

I don't think AT Lock has anything to do with it.
Anybody tried to change LCD density in build.prop file? My G4 F500S unable to boot normally after I changed the value to 480. My phone is able to pass the LG logo screen, sometimes it will display the apps optimization in progress.. when optimization done, it display something like system ui problem (can't see clearly as it rebooted in very short time)... Still finding a solution to fix the problem now

I think anything less than 530 causes issues. I'm running 540 fine.

I see... I think that is the root cause of the problem making my phone unable to boot up.

Quite possibly. I am guessing you may be able to change it to 540 or something via ADB. I'm not too sure. Maybe an adb pull /system/build.prop then edit and push it back.
As post title, for some reason randomly my soft keys (ie home/back button) disappears and I can't find out how to get them back! I've re installed OS a few times which isn't ideal, and have installed a workaround but it's a pain to use.... Am I the only one to have this issue?
Any help appreciated!
Update, Workaround 05/09/17 :
Have found a solution...well not a solution as such but if this happens to you after an update or at all I found a workaround.
In adb mode with phone hooked up obviously:
adb shell settings put global navigationbar_is_min 0
I then restarted device and the navbar is back. I was hoping this would fix my issue full stop but seems to happen every couple of days.
Hope this helps someone as I was going insane reformatting all the time, and having spent some time with the custom roms, I missed the stock camera app and the better battery life of EMUI(never thought I'd say that!)

Did you rooted ?
Nope. No root. Rebranded to Honor 8 pro from V9 but stock Emui now

Yeah I may have to do that. I've factory reset 5 times now and can't place why it just suddenly disappears on me. Was hoping to find a way to restart the startup wizard as others in the past, albeit on other phones, have said that that works to bring the keys back
I've changed the config of them in settings just to see if that makes any difference but I don't know why that would! I'm just sick of resetting...maybe I need to reflash the firmware again....or try one of the other roms that have been made on here. Will keep plugging away at it thanks

Nope didnt work...the commands to hide worked and the rest reappeared with the back to default setting but the bottom options never reappeared

Hi all
Any other thoughts on this? This may sound stupid but if I press the down arrow on the navbar(after one of the many times Ive reinstalled) and the navbar disappears immediately....surely there's some way to get it straight back? Something so obvious Im missing?! What happens if you press that button??? Please help..Im driving myself crazy with this issue!
