Im trying to help a friend switch from sprint to boost and i read the forum on here about how to do it and it seemed fairly straight forward. I just cant seem to get the *#197328640# (service mode) menu to come up. i punch it in and nothing happens. Every other menu works fine, im at a loss. i need unlock it so it reads correctly in DFS.
Thanks in advance

If you're trying to write values to it in DFS, don't you just need the MSL (SPC) and Samsung password? I assume you're trying to "flash" it to Boost?

Yes i am but when i plug the phone in DFS only reads the phone as a modem and not as a device.
Did you first ##3424#, choose CDMA MODEM, tap below on Qualcomm Diagnostics, choose last option (DM+ADB...etc) ?

The only time i get that error is if i absentmindedly input either a wrong password. I know you said you did but check again if you put in the correct SPC/MSL and correct Samsung password (possible try all CAPS for the alphabets).
Also, your com ports connecting/showing OK?

Hi,
I have a galaxy note 2014 edition that has retail mode on, it was a demo ex. Is there anyway to remove this from the device? Maybe through factory reset with stock firmware or something? Have no idea how to do a factory reset with stock firmware if that works.

Hi,
To do a factory reset: Switch off the tablet.
Then power it up by pressing simultaneously and holding : Volume up + Home + Power
When in Recovery mode move the cursor with the volume key and execute with the power key.
Select Factory reset and execute it.

Hi,
OK, the first thing to know is which device you have: Sm-P600/601/605 ??
Then to know which ROM is installed on the tablet ?
If you can go to setting : then scroll down to "About the phone" you should see the version of the ROM.
With that you go to sammobile
You put your device type and you will get all the stock ROM's
You click on the one you want and on the next windows you will have the URL to download and the way to install it.
To be able to download the ROM you have to register on this site but it's free of charge !!

Its a SM-P600,
Kernel Version: 3.4.39-1691324
Build Number: JSS15J.P600XXXUAMI8_LLK
I tried that site but canceled it cause it said it will take 15h to download the firmware.
You can try from HERE
But I am not sure it will be any faster.
Those ROM's are quite big > 1.xx Gb so if your internet connection is slow it's take time.

One more question, I canĀ“t seem to set some kind of password for the lockscreen since the lock screen option is gone in some way. It says something about Knox but what is that?
Can i add some other app that handles the lock screen?
About Knox: it's some kind of security introduced by Samsung some months ago, a real pain in the back..
Have a look HERE (for example) for more details.
Yes you can install applications w/o problem.
Knox will only get involved when you start playing with the ROM's, Bootloader etc ..
Hi
Hello guys, I have an Galaxy S6 Edge Demo version, I want to know if I change the motherboard with another with GSM function, it will work fine ?
The digital finger print doesn't work, I have to change the button or how can I fix this ?
And another thing, in the background of display, you can barely notice a text, this : Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, this thing is from display or motherboard ? Because I want to know, if I change the motherboard, it will dissapear that text ?
Thank you.
I would like to remove the starting screen ''Live demo unit'' on SM-T800X tablet to the stock one, and after flashing I have got the demo pieces of text in the bottom of the screen.
I tried to re-partition the install with ODIN and used a PIT file but no changes. Anybody can help with this problem please ? Is there any solution to change the demo unit to look as a stock SM-T800 ?
Also if there any solution to change KNOX value to 0 would be great.

Wifi settings edit:
(I used ES FILE EXPLORER for this so, that's what I suggest)
- Go to build.prop
- Find: ro.securestorage.support
- Replace the default true value with false
Or flash full Samsung stock firmware and start all over again.

Do you have to be rooted to do this?
Hi, I have tried as well but it won;t work, saying that ,, Root access is required to edit system properties.``
Fix:
1. Root your device.
2. Backup folder EFS on a place secure.(Optional but recommended in case something goes wrong.)
3. Use a file Explorer like rootexplorer and go to the Folder EFS, there look for a file called ss-data and delete it.
4. - Go to build.prop
find line: ro.securestorage.support and set value a true
5. Reboot.
That all! Working in my sgs6 edge nougat T-mobile.
Sorry for my english.

Hi i have the oneplus 9 pro LE2125 using it on AT&T its default the radio setting's via engineering mode is LTE/TDSCDMA/GSM/WCDMA and i am not getting a good signal on it.any advice on which settings i could maximize the signal..or is there anyone that could share what is the default settings on their device using AT&T..Thanks
You could try AT&T advanced tech support, hit or miss but sometimes you get a good tech.

Clear sim toolkit data, network reset and clear system cache.
That's the most I had to do but there's more if that doesn't work. Try advanced tech support again, get them to reset it on their end.
