In cm6 there is an option that allows you to change the rendering color that the LCD emits as a way to save battery. Does anyone know of an app that will allow you to accomplish this in any rom?
Changing the rendering color of the LCD on the EVO will not save battery life, because it's not an OLED display.
Thanks for the response. On to other ideas to save battery ...
Anyone know if it is possible to get a live wallpaper on the always on display setting?
nope. It would destroy battery life
Has anyone changed their screen resolution with adb? If so did you see any noticable battery increase?
Is there any way to change the resolution of the screen from Full HD to just HD to decrease battery drain?
Please test :
from PC with adb.exe
adb shell wm size 720х1520
and next command
adb shell wm density 320
To revert :
adb shell wm size 1080х2280
adb shell wm density 480
Problem

Click to collapse
Try with resolution 840x1600 and density 320, you will have a less tall screen (it hides notch)

I've tried 787x1661...it's fully functional and don't give any problem with notification bar
Hi all,
Is there a real autonomy benefit using lower screen resolution ?
I understand that it's easier/faster/less energizing to render less pixels, but I guess there should be an extra work to adapt high resolution screens to lower display.
So, can someone confirm (and maybe quantify...) the gain in batterie life using lower resolution ?
Thanks in advance :good:
So I was just setting up my Mi Pad 5 for my daughter using the second space and I wanted to increase the display size. You can find it in the accessibility settings but nothing happens when I increase or decrease the display size, it just stays in "S" small. Anyone noticed that?
