Does anyone know an app that will let you pull pics from video the way the HTC One X does? I'm not talking about taking stills while recording, but afterward when viewing.

I remember reading a review before I bought my S3 that said it had that same feature as the One X, I was sad to find it didn't exist on the phone. Would love to find something to do this.
Try frame grabber it cost money but works good

The stock camera well do this. Look above the record button for the vid cam, should be a slightly smaller camera button. That one will take pics while shooting video.

I don't beleive this is what the person is asking about. In a commercial for HTC, there is someone capturing still pictures from a video playback, not while actually recording.

I don't need a call recorder on my phone but today I found that I need one for a reason. So which would be the best? Which is the most working one? I've heard all recorders have this or that problem. So which one you guys recommend?
Thanks in advance.

No flashing or anything - must be rooted though.
Many call recorders work fine UNLESS you're using a bluetooth headset. I haven't found a single solution for recording while using one.

Nope.(SG Note 2) Recording both sides of the conversation option didn't record anything. And the other settings either dropped the call or you couldn't hear the person on the other end. (FYI - was using WiFi calling since t-mobile coverage in my house stinks.)
Try sanity from the play store by cristiano. No problems at all. Unlike some other apps which record the other person from the mic this app records from the phone. Perfect audio all the time from both ends. I have the donated version so there is no 2min restriction. Just remember to choose where the audio is recorded from. I think default settings was recording from the mic. I changed it to record from phone.
You also have the options of recording automatically or choosing when to record and stop in the drop down menu during a call. Many other features too.

I installed santiy today. Looks good so far. The only problem is that u need to drag down the notification panel to activate call recording. is there any other software that shows on the main call screen to activate recording? I dont want those apps that record every call automatically. I have a non rooted stock phone. I can live with sanity otherwise.

ahhh, I guess there are limitations to this device. their music was a bit loud anyway. I did several recordings and the audio seemed fine albeit not crystal clear as it's only a smartphone.
Ive noticed similar problems with all of the galaxy s/note phones ive owned. Its improved alot from the galaxy s1 though where to much high or low noise would sound distorted. I noticed that using a pair of headphones with the built in mic helped me a bit on older phones but I have yet to try it on my note 2. Maybe if there was a audio tweaking mod like voodoo that we could try?
I would really like to find a resolution for this issue. When I use any of my 3 external Bluetooth speakers, there is a really bad delay on the audio with the tab pro 8.4. My note 2 and Nexus 7 work great. I'm running cleanrom, but it did the same thing on stock. I would really appreciate some help. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I have this issue with the Tab and my Note 3, but it doesn't really bother me that much as it's rare (and pointless) to have sound coming from both the BT speaker and the device simultaneously.

The audio and video are not in sync, so when people talk, their mouths move before the audio is played.

I love this tablet but small little things like this keep it from being perfect. I have a 12.2 wifi by the way.
This is an issue with Bluetooth itself. The is a lot of latency in the protocol, and even the best (aptx) you still have too much to sync with video.
Hi everyone, please help me for fixing the problem with recording video Xperia M dual in lowlight. (Android 4.3) it recording with very slow fps in low light Recorded video

Even in good light conditions.
This phone is not suitable for recording video.
Quality sucks...

We have not bad processor and video graphics for recording video,
Other brands with lowest video graphics and processor recordings video good in low light, but our XM or XMD very bad.
You think its camera problem?
Well, I don't think so. For unknown reasons, in low light the FPS decreases (with enough ambient light the FPS stay at 30). There must be a way to force FPS be constant 30 FPS even in low light somewhere, either in kernel or by decompiling camera app, I just don't know where (and how)...

Its problem not in camera app, because other camera apps from market recording with same slow fps in our phone..we need to change something in kernel and this may only kernel developers.
Who have tested Video recording in CM please comment.
Who using CM11 and what about this in CM11? Slow fps in low light or not?

Hey @heykweb
Try adding these lines to your build.prop and then reboot. DONT FORGET TO BACKUP. Tell me if it works. It should raise photo and video recording quality.
