Been long time since I messed with my tablet the sd card reader is broken inside. Have twrp recovery but no back up. Can I flash stock update in twrp or roms
Yes, flash from internal memory is possible.

Last night I went to flash a new ROM and first made a nandroid on the external SD card as I always do. I then cleared cache, dalvik system wipe and cleaned out the old ROM to start fresh and clean. The battery then fell out and I was unable to get the phone to see the external SD card (no ROM installed) and I wasn't able to install the new ROM via internal as there was no way to load a ROM onto internal memory. I eventually found a stock ROM and flashed it through ODIN. The phone is up and working 100% today; however with the process of the battery falling out/reboot now windows NOR the phone can discover the 16GB SandDisk card with all of my pics/videos/files and most importantly the NANDROID backup. I have other micro SD cards and readers and have tried them in the phone and my CPU without trouble... SO what can I do to "unbrick" that SD card... what did I do with my S3 that bricked the mircro SD card in the first place?
TIA

That has happened to me when i had my evo OG and only solution was to get another sd card. .
my sgs3 has an sd card (external), so every time I falsh I download rom+gapps on external memory and do a clean install, formating everyhting on internal memory, from CWM.
but how should I clean install/flash roms on devices that does not have external sd card like N7, N5, Htc one ect?
thanks
You can use adb sideload if your recovery supports it (I believe both twrp and cwm do). Here's a little guide for twrp http://teamw.in/ADBSideload . You need to have adb installed on your computer which you can get using the android sdk.
First time flashing rom and little apprehensive. I have AT&T note 2 i317 rooted last week running stock 4.4.2 and NE5 bootloader. I have downloaded TWRP 2.8.0.0. Also downloaded DN3 to external SD card. It seems that TWRP is not able to read the external SD card. I saw the video and it tells me to wipe my internal SD card so I can't put DN3 over there as it will wipe it. I have enough space to put it on internal SD card. My question is that how do I put it on internal SD card after I wipe it completely and second questions is do NE5 bootloader will create any problem. Any special precautions I should take. Thank you very much for your replies. Still learning the ropes but very excited too.
When you select the mount option in TWRP is your external SD card checked? I'm on 2.8.0.1 with a 64gb exfat SanDisk with no issues. I have never wiped my internal storage flashing any ROM so I honestly don't see that being necessary but in TWRP you can select the mount menu then MTP and should be able to copy files to your storage while connected to your computer this way. I don't believe the bootloader causes any issues other than Knox void and unable to downgrade it.
selling my G3, first formatted my 32GB external SD card (to Fat32), and then went into TWRP 2.8.6.0 to do a factory reset.
then removed the external SD and copied the CloudyRom.zip on it.
when i boot back into TWRP, i can see my internal SD card is wiped as needed, but TWRP won't recognise my external SD with the rom zip i need to flash.
how do i get TWRP to recognise my external SD or how do i get cloudyrom back on the phone again..#
any help is much appreciated!
My SD Card was working fine. No problems at all after I TOT downgrade from Jasmine to stock 4.4.2
Now SD card unavailable in my phone but it's available with TWRP.
How can I fix
My phone is Verizon (vs985)
SD card working fine if Im flash again Jasmin 9. but now I want flash Fulmics
This is a software error from your stock ROM. You should flash the TOT again. If this doesn't work just format the SD card and insert it again
Same happened to me 4 days ago and nearly drove me crazy. I could make backups and flash from twrp but in android the card was invisible like its not in its slot. Scan your SD card for errors on Windows system, then put it back into your phone.
