Sorry to ask again,
but is there any chance to disable threaded messaging in Windows Mobile 6.1? I want to keep mobile banking SMSes away from others, in another folder but I can't move any message and can't manage folders anymore on WM6.1.....
It is the only issue keeping me away from Meschle's Vanilla 4.01...

When you get a new message, you wont here any notifications about it, no matter what settings are. Only screen will be turned on for a while.

Found that on forum few minutes before You posted but thanks again, anyway.
Tested on Tom's B&B 5.0 - yes, that's right, it disables SMS notifications functionality. But using "Ladoshki PMA" (little proggie from Ukraine; PMA comes from Personal Mobile Assistant) I have notifications and much more.
Ladoshki PMA has mostly English-speaking interface. If anybody want to try it just refer to official proggie page at http://www.ladoshki.com/?pocketpc&id=4396 - everything written there is in Russian.
Almost forgot. I've placed .cab file on Rapidshare (~800 Kb). Feel free to try it...
If You guys need that bad I'd try to find some time and translate 'documentation'...

Like many of you, I'm constantly trying to modify my manila files and TF3D. To see the results one must reset TF3D by clicking Start>Settings>Today>Items>TouchFlo 3D then exit, re-enter and enable it.
With that being said, can anyone create a shortcut that can be place in the start menu or programs tab that does that process with the click of a button?

without using any 3rd party apps, patch, hack, i'll do it this way:
slide to settings, tap "modify tabs", tap "done"
and voila: TF3D restarts
not sure about the english wording as my device is actually german.

I would like to share with You my little app, that I wrote to make using HTC easier and more comfortable. With this app You can assign finger friendly keybord when stylu is In, and small keyboard for stylus when it is out. Unfortunately it works only on devices with stylus sensor like HD, Diamond, Touch Pro, SE X1 (I hope it works, I've tested with BlackStone only). If you have some suggestions, ideas or if You run this app on other devices please let me know.

nice app...i'm sure it will help me, as it seams that my touch hd keep changing input keybord completely randomly and with no logic whatsoever so will give a try...hope it will bring an law and order to that mess

I've attached some screens. During system start, application is checking screen oreintation and stylus state and then deciding which keyboard should be used.

I tried the Cab file above, it really works, meaning it will change the Imput method according to stilus in or out.
But if I closed the phone or make a soft reset, the first time I want to write a message the imput method is still the standard one
You must setup program to start service with Windows.
Do you mean select the option "Run at Start up" ?
Yes I did select it but as I mentionned, after a reset or turning the mobile off, the first message I will write will open with the standard keyboard... I then move stilus in and out and it starts to work correctly until the next reset or turn off
So strange, because program is started. Maybe You are using keyboard which is loaded leter. Uncheck 'run at start' and add shortcut to autostart. After this program should start after all proceses and services.

Hi Nitro, is it possible to launch an application when you take out the stylus? I would love to have Phatpad opened when I do so, to take a quick note.
I won't mind closing it the one time I pull out the stylus in another app.

Hello all,
I saw that you can download for free (using the new application "marketplace", in WM 6.5) the new version of Windows Live. They claim it's 10.8, it results as 10.7.0057 after installation.
It is quite a big improvement: there's finally a nice home screen, and it is possible to browse people's profiles in Live as well as browse and upload photos.

I installed the new windows live from the marketplace and it broke the stuff on my HD.
Now when I try to start the messenger/live, I get the error message
"WLMMessenger is not a valid Pocket PC application".
sigh.

I had that too. Soft reset should resolve it. It seems its caused by using a new kind of installation method.

I don't know anything about new features/functions or bugfixes etc., but the layout is definitely changed.
It looks more like the Windows Live Messenger on the computer. New icons, new notification-images and the window-background have been slightly redesigned.
Nice improvements, but not necessary for using messenger on your mobile. In the conversation-window almost nothing has changed.
With this new version... when in chat is very difficult to write with stylus... I need press with more strong on the keyboard

No problems over here. Works the same as usual.
I have the same errormessage with the marketplace version on Touch Pro 2 (Windows Mobile 6.5). Cab-versions works.

Delete the Redirect key under the registry [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Input]
same thing happened to me a week ago, took me 4 days, until I delete the Redirect key as mentioned above, and I got back my INPUT in SETTING!!

Yea thats Microsoft hard at work. They are removing the Owner name, Input controls, and another one...
Even the owner name kills most applications since they base their software keys off of the owner name.

As you solved the Input problem for WM6.5 (Thanks a lot for that), maybe you have an idea why I don't see java icon under programs in WM6.1. When I try to install a java application, Esmertec appears (it seems java program is hidden somwhere) but java midlet is found somehow harmful or something and I get two option "Kill the midlet-or-NO". And my java applications cannot be installed successfully. I cannot install any other java program externally either. Any idea to solve the problem?
