Hi All
I reference the thread here
[Rootable Kernel/ TWRP 3 - E6853/E6883 Marshsmellow ] [32.1.A.1.163] AU]
Does this work with a Locked bootloader?
or is there a way to backup my DRM keys for the device before I root?
Thank You very much in advance for answering my question

I tried it on my z3+. It didn't work I have unlocked bootloader. Any possible chance to make it work I updated to mm. We have no development. And I don't believe I'm capable. If you can try. I will pay you

Hi, the answer to the portion of you quoted post in red is no. We don't do that here on XDA.
I would like to help you with the Xperia Z3 but I am no longer willing to work with devices i do not have.
If you get yourself setup for development, acquire the appropriate kernel source, and other related resources however, then
sure, I would be glad to help out as far as I am able. I am understanding that most Xperia devices are using a similar bootrec setup
in the boot.img? If anyone can confirm that, thanks.
This z5 boot.img will not work on the z3.
Final point of order, this forum is dedicated to the Xperia Z5 series , the correct place to post this question would be in the appropriate place
for the Z3.

Hi, I didn't find any information about android P for our Z2 Force here. We get 3 years security updates on Z series, right? And android P as last big major upgrade, hopefully. Has anybody latest news about P? If not yet, now we have a thread for infos about that
Dude P hasn't even been released yet
they released beta p on the z wondering why they dont have for z2

Erfanoabdi got p booting on the Z, it wasn't Motorola. Booting and being fully functional are two different things. https://www.xda-developers.com/android-p-beta-3-unofficially-motorola-moto-z/

That's great, but sorry, we talk about Z2. But I think we get it. Why not? Hope end of the year. Or is it possible to get the beta of P working shortly? Do any developer think about that way?
Any news? We skip 8.1, so what's with Pie?

Motorola is too busy selling a phone that is pretty much the same as us and saying it's next gen then worry about us... We have 8.1 in aosp form and P works with some files erfan made in the discord.

Not publicly, sorry. It is advertising another service if I do.
Full treble modularity is pretty much complete and should be in lineage and a public statement possibly in the near future. we are VNDK compliant on the treble alpha builds.

Oh man, treble is going to be awesome. Pretty excited to hear about that. That should make future aosp ports and upgrades easier correct?

As stated we repurposed OEM (which isn't used in aosp builds) as vendor. No repartition needed.

This device will be sure upgrade to Android P. It was launched with Android 8.0 OOB in India and at that time they were telling it will get Android P update (don't know when)
Also Moto Z was released with Android 6 , now running Android 8 (surprisingly i got update notification to July patch at the same time on both phones , retin ) so its obvious It will get Android P. But i don't think it would be first as moto/Lenovo is more busy with low/mid-range devices.
The thing im concerned with is Android Q (since it was launched with Android O here and moto gives 2 upgrades .)

P is now confirmed. Have it from a german source. Seems to come this year. But no 8.1 Z3 has Snapdragon 835, too. So we get the 9.0 Upgrade faster than the others

Tried it but selecting AR stickers opens something and crashes.. comes back to regular camera.. what role did you flash?
Edit- Fixed it, but arcore shows it is out of date
