Mapping a bluetooth mouse buttons - Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Questions & Answers

I'm using a mouse with my Tab S4 in DeX mode.
Currently I'm trying to create a presentation in PowerPoint. Coming from Windows my expectation is that when I right click it brings up a sub menu of choices but when I do this within DeX is acts as the "back button."
Anyone else run into this and if so does anyone know if we can map mouse buttons?
Im using a TeckNet mouse.
Thanks

W0w. My Bizlink MHL adaptor & Rii mini keyboard has just arrived!

Hi all,
I have just received my BizLink MHL addaptor and my Rii mini Bluethooth keyboard with touchpad from Mobile Fun. I have just connected them all up tried a brief bit of sofa surfing and then I thought I would test out the bluetooth keyboard and MHL by posting this message to you all.
I have just checked on the Mobile Fun website and the MHL adaptor has now just sold out [it was shown as in stock yesterday] but I am guessing that a lot of you will now have your MHL addaptor. As for the the keyboard there are some issues with it, but as these are the first words that I am typing on it, it will take me some time to get use to it. The keyboard has the four cursor keys [up down left right] which are really useful and the touchpad right mouse button acts as the back button.
However before you rush out and buy this key board I am having serious issues with the key board that I will investicate more after I have clicked send on this post. I will provide more details later.

OK I have now had some time to test the Rii mini keyboard with the MHL adaptor connected up to the TV. Generally it has the potential of being a very positive experience (apart from some bluetooth communication issues with the keyboard -- more about that later). The four cursor keys work very well as they are fully supported by Android and are especially good for editing text and I can easily navigate round the phone and the browser using them. The keyboard it self is too small for serious typing (if you want to do that then I would recommend getting a full size keyboard). The F1 key acts as the menu button and the esc key and the right mouse button both act as the back button. I can't find find any way to access the home button using the keyboard.
The touchpad works perfectly on when using it connected upto a PC but does not work quite so well when connected to the S2. This shows that this must be android issues with the mini keyboard touch pad rather than the Rii device it self. There is no pinch zoom with the touch pad and dragging the screen to scroll using the touch pad and pressing and holding the left mouse button is possible but very awkward.
The phone works best in landscape mode when connected to the tv but does not always go into landscape mode so you have to go and lift the phone up give it a little shake to make it go into landscape. The software keyboard occasionally comes up on the screen when you don't want it to so you have to press the right mouse button to make it go away. I have found a little trick on the stock browser -- pressing shift and one of the cursor key makes it easer to scroll the browser.
The youtube app works the best when connected to the TV as it automatically plays out the video in landscape at full resolution for an HD def video.
I haven't got to the bottom of the reason that is causing reliability issue with s2 MHL and the mini key board, but it looking like it may be interference on the bluetooth connection. The issue shows it self as the auto repeat characters keep appearing when you don't want them to causing the alternate character choice popup from the virtual key board to keep appearing.
I think bluetooth is generally broken on S2

I just got the Rii Keyboard and it works just fine on my Galaxy Note. The only problem is that i can't find out how to zoom for example in the browser. does anybody have an idea how to do that??? the keyboard is perfekt when you whant to sit on the sofa an connect your phone to the TV an play some games or surf in the internet.
how does it pair with G Note.
I have a Galaxy Note too and thinking about getting one of these keyboards.
What i want to know is, can the Note pair up direct to to the keyboard or do you need to use an otg cable and supplied bt dongle.
Thanks
John.

bluetooth mouse app

is there an app that enables you to use your S2 as a bluetooth mouse?
i see ones that let you control the cursor with your finger on the phone screen but i mean one that controls the cursor using the phone gyro sensors, so you actually lay the phone on your desk and move it around like a mouse in your hand and mouse buttons are a graphical display on the phone screen.. the volume up and down rocker could even be used as page forward or page back like the side buttons on a mouse.
if this kind of app does not exist, why not? you could basically use your phone to replace another item.. the computer bluetooth or wi-fi mouse.

I remember using an app once, sorry i forgot the name, but on bluetooth, it was painfully slow. I didnt try it on wifi since it was a paid version.
Maybe GRemote? I think there was something like G-Sensor-Mouse.

Blueputdroid or something close to that

Remote control apps
you can try Unified Remote:
Unified Remote on Google Play
I used it with a Bluetooth USB stick, but I prefer it over WiFi using my router.
There are both paid and free versions, I use the free one since it offers everything I need: remote control over mouse and keyboard, file browser, task manager.
For real remote control, where you see the computer's screen real time, you should try TeamViewer:
TeamViewer on Google Play
There's also LogMeIn, but it's only paid and pretty expensive:
LogMeIn Ignition on Google Play
NOTE: both of these apps require a client to be installed on the target PC.

[Q] K400r trackpad as bluetooth mouse?

How can I make the trackpad on my Logitech K400r USB keyboard/trackpad act like a bluetooth mouse for using a traditional mouse cursor?
I hate the stupid issue of how I can't get real-time "mouse" position because of the orange circle not writing its current location to the internal pointer position.
The most frustrating issues is that flash games receive the click input twice and can't read the floating circle because the internal pointer's position is not getting updated until holding the 2nd tap on a double tap which may also unintentionally force a drag function or shortly stop working if you switch fingers.
Here is a random YT video of an actual bluetooth mouse on another Android device (if I am not mistaken).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9RkGXVXnW4
Is there an app or root function that can make my K400r's trackpad act like a bluetooth mouse?
Edit:I found the directory for mouse pointer type, but I don't know what to do from there.
/system/usr/idc/"input device config" files
file extension:.idc
Can someone knowledgable of this please elaborate on how to replace the circle with a constant mouse pointer on Fire TV?

360 Xbox controller wireless - Some questions

I've just got a Fire Box & a new 360 Xbox controller wireless with microsoft's official dongle (official microsoft NOT generic)
Could someone walk me through what you pressed & for how long to pair it?
The Fire TV Box doesn't see it when I try to pair it (just continually searches). But it does recognise it partially for navigating menus. It recognises inputs from the left joystick & d pad only, & the A & B button. The right joystick is dead.
Looks like it's working as intended for you:
Left stick + D-Pad is for scrolling
A = OK
B = Back
XBox Button = Home
Start = Menu
Right stick has not functionality in the menus.
If that's working you don't have to pair it anywhere.
You can use it to navigate. Using it in any Emulator or Game App should also work Out-Of-The-Box now. Just use the controller button assignment in those apps.
I have a generic receiver but when that's already working fine it should be ok with the original.
Oh btw: The controller keeps blinking for me but it still works. Even for 2 controllers on the one receiver.

Oh thanks for that I feel really dumb now. I only ever gamed on my PC with a keyboard & mouse last time I used a controller was when I was a kid.
What do you do when you run out of buttons & triggers for a game? I'm playing Dead Trigger 2 & I don't have enough buttons & it makes you program them in yourself. There is no default.
I don't even know which buttons/triggers etc I should program in for what function. I know it would vary by person & game but I imagine there is probably a basic commonality to the way people decide which buttons to use for what.
Yeah the blinking is annoying but everyone gets that apparently.

Tab S2 and Microsoft Touch Wireless Mouse - Compatibility Issues

I really want to use the Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse (https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-us/products/mice/arc-touch-mouse/rvf-00052) with the Tab S2. it just folds flat and can be slipped into the pocket. I could pair it easily with the Tab S2 but this is where the problem starts. The Tab S2 recognizes it as an input device of the type "Keyboard" and not a mouse. It however works great with the other Microsoft Designer Mouse but somehow doesn't recognize the Arc Touch mouse.

Have the same mouse and paired with no problems... =T
I have the same set up. For me the mouse only pairs by holding down the Bluetooth button for several seconds. Then it connects but does not function. No cursor etc

Did anyone manage to get a workaround for this? I am desperate to get this working with my note 4. I have a foldable MS keyboard which pairs no probs and this mouse would make my mobile office (along with Citrix receiver and win 10 vms) complete. Any ideas?
