So I received my tab S4 yesterday. great device .
I was just wondering what happened to the Samsung theme store ? I haven't had a Samsung device since the s7 edge. Did they do away with it or have they just left it out of the the tab S4?
Samsung Themes still exist but it's not supported on Tab S4 at least for now. You can try Substratum and Andromeda or Swift Installer from play store. Those are rootless theming engines. It's a bit more complicated at first but giving more flexibility allowing theming individual apps.

Funny thing is i was able to DL this 2.0 app on my edge from Google play a few weeks ago. - had no incompatabilty issues, Long story short i had to replace my edge from a camera issue(did not focus), then when i went to reinstall this app, it said it was not compatible, does anyone have any thoughts on this. It worked perfect before! Thanks for sharing , i will install it.:good:
I have no idea why, but in google play store i have a "not compatable" massege and can't install it. I was happy that still have the S5 to extract the app file

I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S3 SHV-E210K (The Korean one). I installed Xposed framework on it and notived a significant lag on my device. I tried many ways which were mentioned for S5 <The ro.securestorage.... editing one> but there was no such line in build.prop file. Is there any other way to do this. I have uninstalled it for now...
Also is there a way to get Theme Chooser on S3.
50 people view it and no one replies???

During the announcement, it was shown that the Razer Phone includes a theme store/app with free themes, but does the phone use a known theme engine like Substratum, and can you sideload a custom theme onto the device?
I was playing with it in the AFK area and it seems to be a proprietary theme implementation (not sure though, this is just from what I could tell). It is super quick when applying themes and seems to work really well.
Thanks for replying @Masterfellow - I don't suppose you noticed any elegant and minimal looking themes - or are they all, well gamey and brash? I would want to get rid of that green used everywhere lol, if I owned that phone.
@daniel-t I'll have to disappoint you there mate, unfortunately they were only those. I can't stand those over-the-top themes with overdone ugly icons either lol.
Hopefully the theme store will have public apis/sdks just like Chroma and users will be able to create their own.
I'll post details on the XDA Portal. I have some info shared from their software team.
I would appreciate that thanks!

believe it ships with a licensed copy of Nova launcher prime

I could be wrong, but Nova is just the launcher right, it doesn't actually theme the OS as in the notification shade, the system settings screen etc. But Razer's theme implementation does.
https://www.xda-developers.com/razer-phone-theme-engine-oms/
So it is a straight up implementation of OMS, but locked down for now. That is a little disappointing. Let's hope Razer eventually allow third-parties to submit themes.
I wouldnt expect too many min style themes. They have always been known for highly detailed style unlike the plain jane elementary school style theme, like Googles material design
I managed to try out the phone for a couple of minutes, but there was no wifi or data so i couldn't log into the Theme Store, and look around. Razer seems like the sort that would open it up if they thought designers/users would want that. I can't say I have much experience with them though.
Here are some screenshots. Some pics are bad, sorry. But these are the non-gaming ones offered.

I'd like to get some black subtratum theme for my A1 but one thing worries me if its gonna decrease stability of my phone even by slightest bit, like performance, or if its likely to cause any problems (visual or technical) after android updates, or i will have uptade the theme every time something changes visually in OS. One thing to note is that all i need is some black layout for my oreo (menus, default apps like calendar, keyboard, dialer, lock screen, etc), im not interested in customising any third-party apps, not even google apps. Also to note, im using Nova Launcher and wondering if there are no comptability issues with it.

I use substratum with swiftblack theme it is stable . If you uninstall first all overlays s in substratum manager and then update the theme and then reapply them after each update you dont have many bugs. Sometimes there are some bugs but they fix them . I dont think there is a decrease in phones performance. There is no issue with nova launcher. The thing you should do first is disable the autoupdate of apps in playstore. Update the apps when a new version of the theme is out. I use substratum with my mia1 with april update and with my s7(oreo). With my mia1 i use the nexus or pixel guide in swiftblack theme.

This is stock Android. Substratum works without issues.

I use Pitch Black. It's perfect. The only problem you might get is if you have apps set too auto update. As some overlys have vto be set to app version. So YouTube etc can cause hiccups. But the Developer normally updates them as soon as new updates are out. Don't worry too much its easy to fix.
I've updated to the latest June patch with 8.1 Oreo. I've rooted with magisk and substratum works without any issues. No lags or performance problems. Battery also doesn't drain.
I'm attaching a screenshot . Using Pi Dark Theme
Guys im not going to root my phone, all i want is black themed system, not apps other than stock tools from android. Can i install it without applying it to other apps like YouTube, Facebook and all that? And does it cause any glitches after updates as a clean replacement for standard white theme from oreo? I will pass if its gonna bring any extra trouble for me, i simply dont want to deal with it anymore in the future, it just annoys me but a black theme instead white would be great.

You're not getting the gist of what we are explaining. We cannot post the black theme overlay you want because warez is not allowed in the forums. For one, you will need Substratum + you need to buy the Andromeda add-on if you're not going to root. Andromeda will use ADB commands from your PC to enable theme support on your Mi A1. Also, when you access themes through substratum, you can select which apps to enable the overlays on. You can skip the other apps and just theme the Settings app, framework and SystemUI. You will need to update the themes through Substratum whenever an update arrives for the theme you are using. If you are thinking this through too much, I would suggest stay away from theming.

Thanks, i think i will pass then. That sounds distracting enough for me. Even if its just a periodic update to the theme it will eventually piss me off on occasion when something suddenly breaks, and id rather have the least amount of distractions at the cost of worse design.

Most themes only breaks on third party apps. Settings app, SystemUI and Android Framework updates are usually minimal and doesn't lead to crashing. Updating the overlay through Substratum then rebooting fixes the issues easily.
Ohh allright then

I mainly followed the guide.
After updating to the June patch ( i had already unlocked my bootloader before May Patch)
1. Booted to latest twrp and made a back-up of boot .Renamed it to boot.img .
2. Then i installed magisk and patched the boot image.
3. Then from fastboot i booted with the Patched image . And installed magisk via 'Direct Install' method.
The phone rebooted. And it was rooted.
PS. In case u want the patched boot img for June, I'm leaving a link
