Keep Getting Stuck on Boot Screen` - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay so I'm having a bit of trouble. I recently got a new, well used, but it's my second Tab S, and for the life of me I can't get it to Root or get my Rom's flashed.
I go through the same process I do everytime I redid my old Tab S, but for some reason every single time I get stuck on the opening boot screen, and it never ends and is impossible to turn off except by entering download mode. Which is when I reflash the stock firmware using odin and try again, but it just keeps happening.
It's been almost 2 years since I first did this on my old Tab S, and I remember going through a hard time then too.
Why is it that the first time is always so difficult? Is there something I'm doing wrong?? How do I fix this???

Someone delete this thread if at all possible please, only minutes after making this thread I successfully did it finally. lol

Hold POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN until the screen goes blank then immediately change to VOL UP whilst still holding the other buttons until recovery boots.

Phone wont do anything

Hey,
Title is slightly more dramatic than my situation but basically my phone wont do anything more than loading the bootloader. Recovery doesnt do anything anymore (it just sits on the HTC screen) and the Factory Reset loads up the Reset screen for a few seconds then reboots and sits at the HTC screen.
This happened after the battery fell out while I was Restoring a backup from the Recovery menu, it was on the CRC check when the power cut. Any ideas how to get access to the recovery back?
Ironic thing is, T Mobile are meant to be ringing in 30 mins to offer me phone upgrades haha
Thanks,
-----------------EDIT------------------------
I dont know how I fixed it but I did, this may be helpful to others with a similar problem.
I restarted and took the battery out several times (7 or 8 times)
I loaded up fast boot and then clicked on recovery (which took me back to the main bootloader page)
Clicked on Recovery and took a minute or so to load.
Im guessing the fastboot did something (though im not sure what since its not connected to my computer or anything :S
I would love to know why this fixed it (if it did) and why it likely stopped working in the first place.
Did you have a stock recovery or a custom one? Arent you supposed to press volume up+power keys to get into stock restore? That's where the red HTC logo sits. I watched through a 5 minute video the first time I did it just to figure out I had to press that key combo!

[Q] Unrooted phone stuck in Android System Recovery

Hello everyone,
My phone is NOT rooted. Earlier today it was stuck on the Samsung Screeen when I turned my phone on. I then used the power, camera, volume down button combo to bring me into recovery mode. Now everytime my phone turns on it stays in recovery mode. I can scroll up and down on my choices but there is not a key that I can press that will select a choice. Any ideas for how I can get my phone to work?
Screen I am stuckl on reads: "android system recovery <3e>
enter: OK key, Select : Vol UP/ Vol Down
reboot system now
apply update from SD cared
Wipe Data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
then theres an exclimation mark in a triangle with the android dude below that
#manual Mode#
If you don't care about existing app data, Odin would be a great choice. Either Odin-ing in a custom recovery or a fresh stock system would get you out of the situation.
Sent from Samsung Captivate Glide @ CM10.1.2
Sounds like you tried to do something and the phone didn't like it, hence you boot back into recovery on it's own.
Use Odin and reflash stock.
Much Thanks
Thank you very much for the responses, for some reason I was under the impression that your phone had to be rooted in order to use odin, much thanks!
I do not care about my personal files getting lost, but just out of pure curiosity, roughly, how would one accomplish that?
I'm try out odin now!
Back to my old problem! Any ideas?
So odin passed twice with all the stock software. Now I am back to my old problem that I had before I was stuck on the recovery screen (hardware issue? idk) When my phone boots up it stays on the samsung screen for 2 mins, then it lags like crazy on the 4g screen (sound and video), and it stays frozen at the Galaxy S screen (for over 6 mins). I need a working phone, luckily I am elgible for an upgrade, but really dont see the need to spend 250 to upgrade my phone or spend 100 for insurance to replace it!
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks again for all of your help so far

Well, first boot of flashing any custom or stock rom takes a bit to fully boot. If you're stuck at the Samsung or Galaxy S screens, then you should reflash. If you have tried that and still having the same issue, then try a few more times. I've read posts of people having constant boot loops on flashes and they finally got one flash to properly stick after many tries.
So odined again and again, this time my phone eventually did turn on but it literally took 30 mins. When it did turn on I had no network connection nor could I use my touchscreen, it eventually shut off. I'ma go get robbed at the sprint store in a bit lol.
End Thread
End Thread- I got a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. My god- this phone is amazing. Kinda bull**** that I got nothing for my old phone with full insurance when it seems like it was a hardware failure!
Can't wait to play with this beast of a phone tomorrow!

[Q] Galaxy Tab 3 stuck in boot cycle after root

Hi Wonder if anyone can help?
I downloaded mirror beta from the app store to mirror my Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T210 to my apple TV3g.
Once downloaded i was informed that the device had to be rooted, so I used Kingoroot and followed the instructions. Everything was fine during the rooting process and completed informing me that it was successful.
The problem is after this the Tab is stuck in a constant cycle mode of the Samsang GALAXYTAB 3 boot logo.
I have managed to power it off ( Black screen) but have been unsuccessful in getting the device into recovery mode to try an hard reset.
I have tried all the button combinations I could find on Google but it only just shows the galaxy screen. Any help would be much appreciated since it is my daughters tablet and ill be in a valley of it if I cant get it restored.
Thanks in advance
Have you tried to Boot your Tab into Download mode?
If this working , flash Stockrom with Odin.
I'm in a similar situation with the logo boot loop except I am unable to shut it down. I hold the power button for 10 seconds and it reboots right back to the logo again with no shut down. How can I shut this down?

I got in the same situation trying to root my Tab. I wound up holding the power button down a really long time and then gently releasing; then I booted it into recovery and there is an "unbricking your 10.1 " post on XDA that has a stock 4.2.2 link.
Once you get the thing into recovery, and it took several attempts (like for two days)- I had given up and was thinking I had finally truly bricked an android) I got it into recovery and then used Odin to flash the original stock rom and it worked. Then Samsung almost immediately downloaded the OTA and I was at 4.4.2 stock.
The sd card slot is broken, so I am still trying to get the tab rooted, but for now just having it functioning in stock form is better than that Galaxy emblem slowly flashing every 5 seconds until the battery dies (Itried that too, thinking it may somehow recharge and reboot and something would be different-no such luck)
But I found holding the button down persistently made the difference, at least it seemed to.
Good luck

Note 2 boot load loop fix - cause System Memory full

Hi everyone. This is the first time ive posted anything on here. I will try to fully describe my problem that i really need help to fix.
My wife got my old Note 2 is rooted and she got my
Dad's old unrooted Note 2. After deciding that she didnt want a rooted phone she decided to use my father's unrooted phone. Due to apps updating and the internal memory getting full she ingored the warning message not really realising the outcome. The phone eventually shut itself down and is stuck on the Samsung logo (boot loop). So i gave her my old rooted phone back because she said that it just died. The same happened to the rooted phone too.
I asked before what she did and i was told nothing it just died. So i had nothing to go on. It wasn't until a week later when I tried to sort the problem out she said the System Memory was getting full and a message came up warning of this. So now I believe the problem is that the on board memory has got full and the phone seized. Much like what happens to a PC when the main hard drive gets full!
When i attempt to boot the phone up the Samsung logo show and stays on, never booting up. This happens with both phones. When i hold the Home key, Power button and Up volume switch. The phone loads the first Part of the boot up and at the moment it goes to the system screen it goes blank for a split second and back to the start of the boot. No matter how many times i try it fails. So I can't Factory reset or erase anything because i can get to it that screen.
So I try something else. I press the Home button, Power button and the Down on the volume to access the Download mode. This works fine. So i used Odin to try to put Rom onto the phone hoping this will solve the problem. Both phones connects to Odin alright and I can set up ready to load a rom onto it, however when i press start on Odmin to do its job everthing starts ok but then it goes red with a Failed error message. This happens when i try this on both phones, I seem to be stuck no knowing what to do. I have tried using all the ports on my laptop (window 7) and that makes no difference. The same happens on both devices.
I think i need to clear the memory somehow but have no idea how to do it when i can only access Download mode. I would be very grateful for any help on this but if all else fail I will try to build up static on a ballon and see if putting the near will wipe the memory, lol. Only joking. Im desperate to sort this out.
Any ideas?
try to flash twrp with Odin and download mode. Then enter recovery, connect it to PC and make some space.
But I really doubt it, apps won't install even when you have 500Mb free, so I think it might be hardware problem

Soft-Bricked M9

I've had an M9 for 2-3. After the first year I got my phone, I installed a custom recovery and rooted it but later uninstalled root and custom recovery. It has been fine ever since except recently. Last month, my phone randomly crashed for the first time and got stuck in the infinite bootloop. It was as if everytime it tries to boot up, it crashed during it. If I hit the power, vol up, and vol down button, I make it to the screen with the option to go into recovery, download, etc. But when I actually try to go into either bootloader, recovery, or download mode from that menu, it crashes and goes back to the white htc logo. I've have gotten the phone to bootup a couple times by leaving it in the freezer as it tries to boot up but after using it for 1-5 minutes, it crashes again. If I don't use the phone at all, then it usually wont crash. After a day or 2, the phone fixed itself. Then one morning, my notifications got stuck together and my screen became unresponsive. So I took my death sentence and restarted my phone and now my phone has been doing the same exact thing for a week. I don't know how to fix this problem because getting it crashes trying to go into recovery and trying to do a factory reset is risky since it could crash during the reset. If also manage to make it into safe mode thinking maybe an application or virus is causing this but the phone crashed in SAFE MODE so I don't know what the problem is. I doubt there is any saving this phone because is probably a hard ware problem but who knows. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you.
Flash back to stock. Stock firmware fixes all sorts of issues.
