If you have been downright annoyed with address links in the calendar not being clickable (to take you to maps), outside the US at least, then you will be pleased to know Google have pushed out a calendar update
Comes with a nice blue icon too.
but nothing changes
Seems to work in the US. I am not sure what the calendar update does. I downloaded it from Play, but all it does is link to the GApps calendar.
It changes the icon
Hi,
My setup is:
Sony smartwatch 3 with android wear 1.4.0.2715035
Note 5 with 6.0.1
Before i upgraded the android wear to the new version, each morning i had a notification of the current Weather.
Now the only option to see it - i need to open on my watch the Google app and there i can see the Weather update.
Is there any option to bring it back ? (tried to play with settings on google now cards - on and off to the weather options)
*Please note i still get notification from google now like "30min to home" the google maps update
Thanks in advance
Alik.

I get weather notifications but I use a weather widget on my Phone for the weather... So maybe try that... there are quite a few that support wear .
No weather card on my SW3 since a long time, same things happen also on my LG-R since few days.
I use now an app "Weather Timeline" wich send weather card on wear watch like the Google Now Card but with a next forecast hours and next few day screen. More option to refresh and select provider source.
Hey there,
Just wondering if it is possible to disable all if not most Google applications. I am aware that there isn't any LineageOS or custom ROM support at the time of this post. Since this device is an Android One device, are there limitations on which Google applications I can disable? I'd like to disable all of them and replace them with alternatives. I would like to know if I can also disable Google services entirely. Can any Nokia 6.1 owners tell me if settings manager lets you disable or uninstall preinstalled Google apps and services?
Thanks!

You can uninstall some of them.
It's possible to disable a few Google-Apps, too:
- Google Carrier Services
- Google Fotos
- Google Mail
- Google
- Google Drive
- Google Playstore
- Google Sprachausgabe
- Google Zhuyin Input
- Hintergründe
- Google Calendar
- Google Contacts
- Google Lens
- Google Maps
- Google Messages
- Calculator
- Support
- Google Talkback
- Google Dialer
- Google Clock
- Youtube
But these Apps will stay in an active state on your Nokia 6.1:
- Factory Wizard
- Google GBoard
- Google Play-Services
- Google Input for Pinyin
- Indische Google-Tastatur
- Launcher3
- Google Dialer
- UKW-Radio
Thanks
Honestly, you expect that rubbish with apple and heavily carrier modded android OSs but I'm so sick of needing to store all of these applications I'll never use AND if I did want them, I'd be able to download them if I wanted them!!!
Is there an option to remove that widget from homescreen?
There must be a solution to this without using a different launcher.
No, if you search on the Mi A1 forum (basically the same device), nobody found a way to remove the search bar from the stock launcher, because it is hard-coded.
The only way is using another launcher (Nova recommended) or modify the stock launcher apk to remove the bar, and replace it.
Maybe this works?
Disable the Google App
Danielle Furry recommends disabling the Google app in settings, which works for a range of Android versions. Here's how it works:
Open Settings, then open Apps
In the All apps list, find Google app, or just Google, tap it and select disable
Reboot your phone and the search bar should be gone!
If you disable the Google app, don't worry about breaking your phone. Apps like Google Play Services are essential for your system (unless you build your OS outside of Google's ecosystem), but your other apps will work fine without the Google app.
Do be warned however, the Google Assistant and voice search depend on the Google app, so disabling the Google app will also negatively affect dependent services such as Google Home, Google Lens, and Google's notifications about weather and transport, for example.

Worked for me. I used Nova Launcher Prima to remap the center button to open the app drawer instead of launching any Googly stuff. This frees up space to put more apps on the bottom row.

Same for me, there's a search bar remaining and not responsing at any tap...
In my case too. After disabling app, widget is still there. Tried 1st day when phone coming
Waiting for TWRP and then will freeze google app with Titanium. That always worked in my case
just install this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=amirz.rootless.nexuslauncher

For me it's not a solution but just a workaround
Hi,
I've installed LineageOS & GApps micro...
I loaded up the Google Play Store and downloaded most of the google apps including Google App (Search), Pixel Launcher & Google News yet the below features don't work:
- "Okay Google" isn't working... If I go into Google Settings > Voice Match the toggle to enable/disable "Hey Google" is greyed out and turned off... how do I enable it?
- "Google Search Bar" is missing... (At the bottom of the pixel launcher, it also exists when you open the app list)
- "Google Now" is missing... (Left panel of the pixel launcher, shows a search bar, quick links to weather, food, entertainment, sports and has cards with information for you including news articles)
