I tried to edit it but apparently you can't change a thread title.

TMO Bootloader screen

Here ya go.
Ok so is this good or bad lol? Is it unlocked?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
It looks the same as international...so I would think unlocked. T-Mobile has never locked a boot loader and don't think they will start now
really dislike the know warranty void 0x0... =(
someone please get rid of it
Well According to designgears who has an ATT, he has the exact same stats on his Bootloader screen.
Ya, that is the same as what is on the ATT version, except for the swrev stuff. Maybe the relevant info isn't on there. I don't understand why there would be a tested recovery already for it if it wasn't unlocked.
Didn't notice that. Is that an indication of a locked bootloader?
Well I guess we will know when he tries to flash recovery.....they have the T-Mobile recovery on the international thread

Ya, since the international version has the same screen I don't think the info means anything about the bootloader.

Praying that you're right. Still 99.9 percent positive it will be unlocked, just waiting for some firm confirmation.

pm from bigbiff.(twrp). So I just found out that even though it says write protection enabled, that doens't mean bootloader locked from Chainfire. He says you just have to try to flash something, but he's having issues with the kernel I might see how far he gets, then see if someone wants to be a sacrifical lamb since I dont have the phone yet

I mean I guess we just have to try and flash CWM from Odin and if that works we should be good.

Says the T-Mo version is out of date. I will wait until there is an up to date version available. Don't have time to really deal with a bunch of issues with the phone right now honestly.

S7 Active Root

IK this question was already asked, but is there an s7 active root. If not, will it ever come out?
I can root it for you just shoot me a message wont take 10 minutes to do you will need a computer
In a previous thread he said he did everything the same way as the regular S7 in a reply to a post of mine. Now he's saying that he doesn't remember exactly but will do it for you remotely. Something funny going on here.

Don't know to be honest. I just thought it was kinda strange that he said one thing at first but then was saying something totally different and wanting to root people's devices remotely. Also, it's a brand new xda account, only has 10 posts. That last part may mean nothing but just something that stuck out to me.
So is there root for the active or not?

Yes, but there is only a 50% success rate and there is chance to brick the phone. Wait a month or so for a stable version
not sure where you got 50% success rate ?!..
dont think anyones bricked there phone as yet !..
just follow the other thread above this one !

Yes, I was able to update via OTA to PL1 and root. There are a few others who rooted successfully on this firmware as well.

Unlocking vzw bootloader Android O beta?

Just a thought, has anyone tried this? Just curious.
I don't believe there are any devs working on it since the last update that patched the "Depixel8" software. Seems they've given up on the VZW variant. There is a bounty somewhere in these forums. For both bootloader unlock exploit and temp root to flash TWRP and hopefully SuperSU. But I don't know if anyone is trying or what.
Bunch of quitters. lol
I have it works perfectly

Honestly what is in it for the devs to find another exploit, just for it to be patched again, especially that there is an unlocked model of the phone. If they all were locked down, most likely they would try. Honestly just sell the VZW Version and buy the GPE. It is still locked on O, while being TMO.

Settings shows unlock bootloader

My phone under developer settings shows phone is unlock but when I fastboot adb to check, it shows as lock. Has anyone encounter before?
I guess its false unlocked.
Fake unlock
How should I overcome it? I keep try to use mi unlock but I can't
I think I saw a thread somewhere here about it. Its a bit tricky to do though.

There's a similar thread here: link, I would suggest you to merge with that.
As I mentioned in the other thread, you'll need to provide more specific information: what step of the mi unlock proves is not working?

If you were not on full stock rom without root, or anything custom, and you turned off OEM unlocking and USB debugging, then locked the bootloader, you are basically hosed my friend
Look at this point it just needs to be said... PEOPLE STOP RE-LOCKING THE DARN BOOTLOADER!!
PERIOD!!
There are literally a half dozen posts this week with probably bricked phones and a good amount of them are this same root cause.

Your preaching to the choir ol friend! While I agree with you 100%, some things are best learned the hard, and expensive way! I've done it twice myself.
The carpenters rule should apply to these phones as well...."measure twice, cut once" :good:
I remember and I'm sure that i left USB debugging enabled, and the bootloader locked, so is there any hope ?

My friend.....you could give me or anybody else 10 thousand bucks, and it's still not going to solve your problem I'm sorry to say. You should have unrooted the phone first, then fastbooted the factory image, or do a factory reset, and made sure that OEM unlocking & USB debugging were left on until you were done locking the bootloader. Sorry man, but there's not much you can do without at least a stock recovery, so....accept the loss, learn from your mistake, and move on. Many of us here, including myself, have been there as well. What you choose to learn from it is up to you
