Huawei Watch release date and price UK

At the time of writing Huawei hasn't officially released details on where the Huawei Watch will launch or when. However, we do know it will come to the UK because MobileFun has the device up for pre-order. The retailer is expecting stock in 3-5 days.

pretty sure the 3-5 was just a placeholder. It's gone now. and still no watch. I'm thinking a late spring release is more likely given that we have no news yet.

I was hoping to get myself this watch for my birthday which is next week but it looks like I will have to wait a little bit longer! I really hope it comes out this month. I been checking the news articles daily for any news about a release date.

It's coming out for August/September !

September would be bad, I'm really waiting for a good sized Android Wear and the Huawei Watch would match that, but my guess is that we will see more than one other watch by September (IFA Berlin). Sony, Motorola and Samsung are just some candidates and then the waiting game starts again. If Huawei would manage to deliver by Juni/Juli I would place my order right away.

The shipping cost is very little and no matter if you are a Prime member or not you will have to pay for it.

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered one there, shipping to Sweden with an estimated delivery date between 28-30 september.
It's worth noting that the price listed by Amazon is based on the VAT rates in France (20%). Since the new EU VAT rules now require sellers to pay VAT in the country the buyer is situated in (ie. the country the item is shipped to), you will have to pay a higher price than the one listed if your country has a higher VAT rate. VAT is also applied to the shipping cost.

Amazon France just sent me an email telling they won't ship on 09/23 so here we go again with Amazon neverending delaying story...

I never understood the reason to tax everything so extensively in the EU. Its too bad that you can't buy it here and have it shipped as a gift with the value listed at 0

I just phoned Huawei UK and asked about UK date - they said at least few weeks away and its not even confirmed They suggested I to keep watching www.vmall.eu for updates. Sod it, getting my mate from US to ship me one, don`t like to wait and its just 262 GBP +shipping.

I ordered the silver metal link band version and got that email too although I don't trust Amazon that much when we talk about expected availability.
Last time I pre-ordered by them the waiting for my Moto 360 was a never ending story (something like 3 months...)!

Hi,
I would like to buy this phone and get it shipped to the UK. I know about the lack of some UK bands and I am happy with it in my area. I have seen it on ali express and geekbuying but have no experience as to buying a phone from there and what import taxes they hit. Where would you recommend I get one?

I used oppomart to preorder the Redmi Pro.
It hadn't shipped 4 weeks after the shipping date published on the site (which also hadn't been updated) and I'd heard nothing from them. This was 6 weeks after I placed the preorder.
They were quick to refund and cancel the order on request though.
I would note that the seller you linked claims "Tariff Free" which may be customs related or may simply mean that it's a handset only (rather than carrier tied).
Top One will cover any EU (UK included) import fees (see here)
AliExpress claims it comes with a 1 year UK warranty, plus they're listed on a few UK cashback sites such as Quidco (7.5% off)

Try eglobalcentral.co.uk. I ordered my note 7 (yes i still refused to give up on it) from there and it arrived safely, very quick and with no custom taxes (their policy also states that they cover the cost of the custom taxes). But just have in mind that they are sending the phones from Hong Kong so if you need to return it or is faulty you have to pay for the posting cost. I also advice you to include mail insurance during checkout just to be sure.

I got my Mi 5 on the way to UK in the Mi Store (in shanghai) . But I have got Mi phones from Banggood and Aliexpress before so they are both good (this was when I was in NZ so idk import charges).

Note 7 will not get any software updates as it's officially discontinued by Samsung.

No one is selling the note 7 now apparently so i wouldn't be able to order it from somewhere as they stopped the production. So when i said 'ordered" it man i meant pre-ordered and arrived on 2nd of September , the day of its release before anyone knew about the faulty batrery. But you are right about it not being safe and because they also restrict it on flights i decided to rerurn it back.

Has anyone been able to find a black/grey varient? All I keep finding is a pre order. Is the black version released yet?

Gray Version - Where to buy?

does anyone know why no shop has the gray version of the Phone? All i can find is the silver one but i dont like the white front because of the black bezzels

I don't think you can get the gray model from anywhere right now. I'm not even sure if Xiaomi has sold/shipped any of those yet. Only the silver model is being sold, but as you said, all the other colors apart from gray look stupid because of the black bezels.
I ordered a gray 4/128 GB model from Top-One Digital on Aliexpress on October 5th. The sales rep told me it'll take about a week from now for them to get them in stock, so they should probably have them in week 43.
Top-One is only selling the silver model currently, though. I guess they'll add the other colors back once they have them in stock and they've filled the orders for those who already have orders in.

That sounds great, thanks for the information! I live in Germany and think i've to pay around 20% taxes. Gonna do some calculations to see whats cheapest as soon the gray version is out :good:

I'm sorry, I don't know if anyone ships to India like that... I suggest looking around at some Indian tech forums to see if people have found a seller doing something similar to that. That's how I found the Top One store; from a Finnish forum where many had ordered a phone from there and everyone had received it without having to pay taxes.

25% more is not bad, since resellers in China are taking more than that anyways, if shipping charges are taken into account.
For example the 4/128 GB Mi 5s:
Xiaomi sells it for 2299 yuan, which is 341 US dollars. Top-One is selling the same phone for 409 US dollars + 26 USD for the DHL shipping method. So it's 435 USD at Top-One. That's 28% more than the official Xiaomi price.
But I don't really care since similar phones cost twice as much in Finland.

I ordered on 2nd of October and at the time it was written, that it is on stock (not preorder). I received the notice from the seller this morning that we will have to wait probably 2 more weeks.
Since the shipment date on Xiaomi official store is after 30th of november, I doubt that any shipment will occur before.
I am seriously thinking to cancel the order, since the price dropped a couple of euros (from 390,01 to 376,64) and the current delivery is 16 to 25 days from 2973 pcs available...
2973 pcs? Xiaomi will ship 3K grey units to Top One before offer them on their own store? This has to be Top Ones total stock of everything...or something.

I guess it's a 50/50 change that the new produced color is Grey. They started with silver..now the gold one is showing up in the shops. So the next would be grey or.....pink . Maybe pink sounds weird to produce next but heyy..they made it for china
Maybe they know that grey is most wanted and they start with the less popular colours so they could tune the firmware or even make hardware adjustments. But thats only guessing.

I guess the special unibody variant with 8GB RAM in balck or white is not yet released by xiaomi?
Checked the mi.com sale on 14 and 17 for China and it wasn't available for purchase. So resellers shouldn't be able to get it either.

That is the best price now, after I used a coupon my reseller disabled it. I managed to snag one for $565 but that deal no longer works. Since you posted that link, stock was decreased by about 25 phones. Good sign, since it means these units are selling internationally, custom ROM activity looks promising.

Not sure if you know or not, but the black 128gb/6gb version is already up for Pre-order on Asus' UK store for £499. If you try to order though the shipping date says '9th July 2018' which is obviously wrong since it's impossible. Support said it'd be updated Friday but it wasn't, so probably be updated Tuesday at the earliest because of bank holiday, they are apparently waiting on stock confirmation from Asus.

Asus just announced the anniversary version, 12gb ram 512gb storage and only 3,000 units to be made.

The german store says 11.06.2019 or earlier when you preorder it for the 6/64GB black. The 6/128GB black is available for preorder but without a date.

I ordered one from the French ASUS shop this morning. It was shipped out early afternoon with UPS. ASUS uses a German distributor (Arvato) and my unit was shipped from the Netherlands.

With the exception of UK I'm pretty sure all the EU ASUS e-stores are fulfilled by athe same distributor based in Germany which explain why all EU ASUS stores are now beginning to ship.
