Please Help - I tried rooting - Razer Phone Questions & Answers

**Fixed, I just had to press Power + Volume Up**
Hello everyone,
I'm not sure if I am submitting this post in the right location by here goes.
I have always been interested in rooting a phone to see what I can do with it. I already have a Pixel 2 XL so I thought I'd get the Razer as a secondary phone to give it a shot. I was following the tutorial in this forum (https://forum.xda-developers.com/razer-phone/how-to/twrp-magisk-fullproof-guide-razers-wifi-t3756137) and got through Steps 1-8 and was at the part where I needed to "boot.img" from Slot A. When I was unable to find the "boot.img" panicked. I went back to the TWRP main menu and saw an option to power down (I did not use the power button on the device to do so). My phone reset itself to the screen with the Razer logo with "Powered by android" below it and it is now stuck there. Did I just brick my phone, or is there anything I can do to fix this?
Thank you in advance for any and all help

Hey everyone,
I have the same issue. Followed the Full Guide from the cyanogenmod wiki and just after the "fastboot reboot" step (that worked according to the output on the command line) the phone is pretty much "unreactive". black screen, and only vibrates shortly when i press the the power button. pressing the volume buttons (right after the reboot too) doesnt do anything.
any ideas how i can either get into the ClockworkMod or get back to a "normal" state? guess last option wont be easy as i already successfully fastbooted the boot.img thing.
help is very much appreciated!

Bricked Pandigital Supernova!!!

Hi Everyone!!!
I successfully rooted my Pandigital Supernova and installed google apps including google market. I really enjoyed playing around with this tablet up until yesterday. I made a stupid mistake and trying to flash recovery.img from previous fw in the terminal. I tried to reboot tablet after flashed was completed. But it did not boot up !!! it is bricked now. Please HELP!!!
Bricked Supernova
I know this is late but here is how to unbrick it:
1) Power on and wait until Pandigital shows on the screen the 2nd time.
2) Hold the power button for at least 10 seconds until the device powers down.
3) Repeat this 5 times, this increments a counter that counts failed boot attempts.
4) On the 6th time power it on, leave it on. It will reflash its own firmware at this point and you will see the android character with a box and an arrow as well as a progress bar. Hope this helps anyone

This absolutely works! I bricked my SuperNova twice and recovered using this method.
Rooting Pandigital Supernova - HowTo
I see where you were able to root the Supernova.
I have been unable to do even that. I've tried everything I can find on the net to accomplish this, but I've had no success. I've tried the Gingerbreak.apk, OpenNova-ROOT-Spz0-v.1.0.update, and the market-3.0.26-update - all to no avail.
Would you explain how you were able to root the device, before you bricked it with a FW upgrade. I'd appreciate any suggestions/help.
Royally messed mine up
In tinkering with a firmware image for a PanDigital SuperNova, I flashed a logo file that was too big and I believe it's overwritten the recovery.img
Power on + volume yields nothing. I get my corrupted logo file flash up and no buttons light.
I tried doing this on/off cycle but it does not re-flash any sort of fallback.
Anyone know if there is a way to hard-reset these tablets and flash something over via USB?
Hi,
Could you please tell me what instructions u followed to root Pandigital Supernova?

[Q] Newbie question about installing TWRP

Hello! I recently managed to successfully root my Kindle Fire using KFU. Now I'd like to create a backup with TWRP but I can't figure out how to do that. The guides I found instruct me to hold down the power button for a few seconds after rebooting, but that doesn't seem to do anything. Now I wasn't aware that FFF had to be there for TWRP to work, so I installed FFF after I had already installed TWRP. Could that be the problem(installing in the incorrect order)? The color of the Kindle Fire loading icon changed to blue but still nothing happened when I held the power button down for a few seconds.
I'm sorry for asking such a simple question & I did search the forums before posting but was unable to find an answer. If somebody else has already asked this question, please feel free to link me to that thread.
Thank you all!
OK if you get to the screen with the blue kindle fire logo that's good right when you get there start depressing the power button till you get some words at the bottom of the screen one says normal boot the second says recovery press until the lines are next to recovery. that should boot you into twrp when there hit the big button that says backup that will backup your device after that's done hit the home button at the top right and select reboot this will boot you back to the os. Careful not to wipe anything till you know what your doing please.
Edit: when at the blue kindle fire screen you kinda need to depress the power button rapidly a few times the initial action is a bit stunted or sloppy you will get it if ya try. I suggest reading all this carefully to increase your knowledge before doing anything major, small mistakes can lead to huge consequences http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552547

Warning - EXTREME NEWBIE...htc one m8 wont boot past htc one screen

Hi there.
My partner recently tried to update his HTC one m8 Telstra phone. The screen got stuck on "android is upgrading" starting apps. With a little blue loading circle going round and round. Eventually his phone went flat and now the phone will not load past the HTC one powered by android screen. Have tried pressing volume - and power button to go into boot loader and the same thing happens. If I select recovery a little red triangle appears. Have wiped cache. Still no change. If I do factory reset, it goes through the process of "optimizing apps" and then gets stuck on android is upgrading screen etc.
My partner is even more technologically ignorant that I am so he has never done any back ups or anything .
SD card slot does not work (as he ran over his phone last year) however phone has functioned normally for the most part, up until he attempted to update. Please help if possible.
If it is not hardware problem .. only possible to fix it if the bootloader is unlocked.
Why ? because there is no Telstra RUU available, you can only fix it with a nandroid backup
To get to bootloader, press & hold both power + volume up buttons until the screen turns black, release both buttons and press & hold volume down button only to get to hboot. Then select "fastboot" on the menu to get to bootloader screen.
Can you tell what's written on bootloader ? Is it LOCKED, UNLOCKED or RELOCKED ?
Thank you for replying.
Ok so firstly, how do I tell if it's a hardware problem.?
Secondly, although the phone displays a Telstra icon upon startup, my Optus SIM card, well any carrier SIM card really, works in the phone, therefore would it be possible to use another RUU? (What on earth is an RUU?) And nandroid??? Please explain what all these terms mean, if you don't mind of course.
Because his phone screen is damaged from running over it last year, it is hard to see all the information. I'm fairly certain it is still S-on though. Is there any way I could view the boot loader details on a laptop?
I have tried the fastboot option and it still returns to HTC one screen.
How do I get a nandroid back up? Is the phone at all fixable in your opinion? I don't believe it's hard bricked from what I've managed to learn so far, though I could be wrong, as it still goes through the cycle of "optimizing apps" and attempts to start apps after selecting factory reset in boot loader.
I apologise for my lack of knowledge and ignorance on this matter and I appreciate all your help
A lot of your questions are answered here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52484527
I don't say it is really hardware problem, I say if it is not then it is fixable by restoring correct software.
That's why it is important to get to bootloader because most info are available there.
I want you to give the details of what's written there before I can guide you further.
Those details will tell whether that's a Telstra device, whether the device was rooted which may explain the problem and so on.
If you can't get the right button combination works as I mentioned above, then you need to switch it off (maybe let the battery runs out), charge it for a few hours. Take out from charger then press & hold volume down (read again above I mentioned volume up & volume down because which volume button is important) then connect to PC or charger (this comes after you press & hold volume down button not before)
No bootloader .. not possible to fix (unless it is send to HTC centre)
I am able to get to the boot loader screen (I googled so much before posting on here) but most of the information is blacked out due to the screen being wrecked. I will try and gather as much information from what I can see and post here when I get home and I will also try and upload a picture.
Do you have any advice on how I would determine if the issue is due to hardware?
I will provide further information shortly and once again I'm am sincerely grateful for all your help.
Not easy to know it's a hardware issue when it is still can boot-up but bootloop.
hard brick means no response at all (still sometime it is due to no battery)
Ok so here a few photos of the boot loader screen, the fast boot screen and the recovery mode screen. Please bear in mind a lot of (possibly vital) information is not viewable due to screen damage that happened last year.
The most important detail that I need to know is not visible there.
Really need to know whether the bootloader is LOCKED, UNLOCKED or RELOCKED because that portion is blank out with the damage screen.
What you can try ... while on fastboot/bootloader screen (your pic #1), try to install TWRP recovery
Download TWRP 2.8.7.0 from here : https://dl.twrp.me/m8/
Make sure your PC has the required drivers, ADB/fastboot - if not sure, install these :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64926362&postcount=4
After connecting the device to PC, install the TWRP recovery with command :
fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.8.7.0-m8.img
advise the outcome, if it successful then it is easier to fix the problem.
Ok thanks. I'll download those things and then try that. From what I've learnt so far, I'm pretty certain the boot loader is locked. He got the phone brand new and has done nothing further than change his ringtone, screen display and lock screen. He's worse at technological stuff than I am lol.

Help Rooting Verizon Note 4 N910V: TWRP

Hey guys, I'm a little bit stuck on what should be the easiest part of this whole process. I've followed the [Official] Note 4 Verizon Bootloader Unlock and have actually gotten stuck on the TWRP portion of it. I've worked through the ADB portion and confirmed in download mode that the phone is indeed in 'MODE: DEVELOPER'.
My problem after I've used Odin to install TWRP. I've tried 2 separate versions (2.8.5.0 and 3.0.2.0) after I couldn't figure out the problem and both have successfully installed with 0 errors. My problem is that when I hold Volume up, Home, and Power to get into recovery mode, it still comes up as the stock setup, not TWRP. I'm sorry if I've missed something blatantly obvious, but this has me rather stumped for the last two nights. Thank you very much in advance!
Hi,

The experts there may be able to help.
Good luck!
Uncheck "auto reboot" in odin. After flashing complete, pull battery, press and hold Vol up + Home + Power. That'll get you straight into TWRP!
